One of my favorite places to get Tacos in Oxford! I go here at least twice a week and it is usually great every time! Would highly recommend!

Basically a no frills place that serves decent Mexican along with beer and margaritas in a strip mall location. You get a selection of Mexican food which consists of the usual things wrapped in tortillas along with a small convenience store with Mexican household products, snacks and spices. The red salsa here is a bit watery but it is among the hottest I’ve ever been served. The margaritas were on the weak side for me and for $ 6 didn’t provide enough bang for the buck so order a double for a proper ration of tequila.

A favorite place to meet my hubby for lunch. The service is always fast and the tacos are always delicious. And you definitely can’t beat their prices.

Best tacos I’ve had in a long time. Very well priced for really fresh meats and vegetables. These are smaller tacos for those who are used to Moe’s burrito-sized food(because an authentic taco is smaller), so I ordered 3 for my lunch plus sharing chips and dip. I visited this restaurant while traveling through Oxford, but I would go out of my way to eat here again. Don’t let the shopping center façade fool you, this is where to eat tacos in Oxford. Plus they serve Modelo, what more could you want?

It’s a «hole in the wall» type of place. Has some groceries, and the amenities are bare-bones. It’s not some fancier place designed to attract a large variety of crowds(ie South Depot Taco Shop by the square) Had the Tongue Taco. Amazing, great flavor and very tender Also had the fried fish platter. Generous portions for the price. It was a nice sized fish(some sort of white fleshed fish), deep fried and still nice and moist. The salad with it had some avocado slices, with rice and the beans with a heavy cumin influence, which was very good. It was a great dinner for not too much money.

This is authentic Mexican. I went here on a lunch break after a friend recommended it. I went back everyday that week. My grandmother is Mexican and she loved this place. I get the chicken tacos with pico de gallo, avocado, onions, etc. Also try the Verde sauce and the Queso. Yes, you have to pay for the salsa. Yes, you have to wait when there’s a line. Yes, its very small and is actually just inside of a Mexican Food store. Yes, its worth it.

Most authentic tacos I have ever tried. Love the lamb. I prefer using only one corn tortilla instead of the two sets I can more fully enjoy the filling!

This is the most authentic Mexican restaurant in Oxford. It truly feels [almost] as if you’re in Mexico when you eat in it. The tacos(and everything else) are good. Overall the place is quite cheep too. Definitely worth the visit.

The tacos there are like what you find in Mexico. Order at least 6 which is like 3 normal size. Flavors are authentic

The tacos are really good. The tortas are not so good. Just get the tacos and you’ll be fine — it makes sense, given that the name is «Taco Shop.»

One of my two my favorite cheap lunch places in Oxford. It’s also the only thing even remotely close to authentic Mexican in Ox. Unfortunately the menu is mostly tacos(hence the name), and the queso can be a little runny and inconsistent, but all the tacos are incredible and more than make up for lack of selection. The tortilla chips are also the best in Oxford. Easily the best tacos in Oxford, but Taco Shop is also my favorite overall Mexican place here.

Small amount of food for the price. I had a steak taco and a chicken taco yet it felt and tasted like I was eating cardboard. My wife had the shredded beef taco and that, at least, had some taste to it. Taco Bell is tastier and you get more for the money. The décor is drab to say the least, very unsanitary looking. I can say this… if this is what actual Mexican food is in Mexico, I will never eat in Mexico.

These tacos are delicious and authentic. The place doesn’t have too much charm, but the food definitely does. SUCHGOODTACOS!!! Plus the tortilla chips are made fresh and the queso is great.

Horrible and unsanitary place. How do you may ask. Unsanitary because I witnessed flies landing on the food before it was served. Horrible because they asked if I wanted salsa without explaining it cost extra. Any true authentic Mexican food place actually gives condiments for FREE!

Not necessarily on my side of town, but totally worth the drive. Some of the best tacos I’ve had in Indy. Also — do not leave without trying the black beans. Crowded at lunch, but worth the wait, this little gem and local business is a treasure worth searching for on the West Side.
