Dissapointed with the service and the atmosphere. There was only one server and one person cleaning the tables. I waited several minutes to order because the one server was busy working so much by herself. Eventually the lady clearing tables took my order. They leave the front doors open, which tonight led to the smell of gasoline and car exhaust coming in… The phở noodles were very good though! — I did notice it seemed like they have a lot of takeout order. Oh yeah, and they offer a 10% military discount — very nice

Absolutely terrific restaurant! Kind service and excellent food. All the dishes that we tried(16, 46, SV4 and 97) were great!

This is, very, very good phở. Forget the run down location, or the average appearance; it’s, with out a doubt, my favorite in this area.

What even just happened. I’ve driven by this place hundreds of times, but never had the desire to stop by. Most of it had to do with the fact that I was on my way home which means I was on the other side of Oxnard Blvd and would have to flip a bitch at a major intersection. Seems like too much work. Also, let’s be honest — it’s not in the most desirable place. In my quest to have vermicelli at all the Vietnamese spots in the area, I ended up here by accident. As everyone else has mentioned, don’t be fooled by where they’re located. I honestly did not expect for the inside to look the way it did. It’s clean, modern and very inviting. My order was for pickup, but my friend and I ended up ordering some coffee so they had to make those and we ended up having some time to kill. We started eating at the counter so the lady told us to sit on the table and wait for our drinks there. We ended up eating the 2 orders of shrimp roll while we waited. I saved the vermicelli for later. The food was great, the coffee was super sweet(I added water when we got home) and the service was great. The people working were very nice. I’m going to dine in next time.

The thought of driving to the south side of Oxnard for some Vietnamese grub makes some people uncomfortable as it’s not known for being the most posh part of town. This restaurant is located near 5 points in Oxnard and isn’t a very pretty restaurant from the outside, but when you get inside it’s like you get transported to a whole new world –you’ll understand, once you get there. I got the Noodle soup with shrimp wonton and assorted seafood $ 8.50 –I was happy with the amount of wontons and shrimp in my Phở. Although, I am not fond of imitation crabmeat and I guess it’s my bad for expecting for real crabmeat at a one-dollar sign($) kinda joint. Phở, of course, came with the fixings on the side, Sriracha and hoisin sauce readily available on the table. This place is perfect for a cheap bite, just remind yourself –you get what you pay for. I remind myself that some cultures normally have a harsh sounding tone of voice –for these ladies here, it’s obvious that English is their second language, so I am taking that in consideration and being a bit lenient when considering overall service. Our waitress was attentive, she did come back 1 – 2 times to fill our drinks and check if all was well with our dining experience. Overall, A-OK in my book.

Always yummy food & Great service. Love how its close by(near 5 points). Plenty of seating, whether booths or tables & can accommodate large groups. Lots of choices on the menu from spring rolls, soups, salads, sandwiches to rice dishes. Theres something for everyone. My fave apps are the spring rolls, grilled tofu & wings. I love all the soups, just depends what I’m craving. Lately been ordering the Shrimp Phở Vermicelli Soup(#34). If u feel bold & adventurous try the house soup(1st choice in soup section). I haven’t tried the Banh Mi(Vietnamese Sandwiches) yet, but from what I’ve seen & heard they look delish! They have boba drinks too, I can’t get enough of them.

The only problem really is the parking outside very busy area of saviors. Food is good. In fact it’s really good. I had #17 which is phở with rare steak. And a order of spring rolls. The peanut sauce was yummy. Over all good food. Dislike: the parking outside The restaurant smelled a little sour. But u get used to it. Not so over powering that u can’t stand it.

Went back and had another sandwich with extra meat and it was much better this time. The bread wasn’t as hard as last time and the extra meat made it a more filling sandwich. My only gripe is the last time they used sliced cucumbers and this time it was a stick. Take the extra time and use oblong cucumber slices!

It’s nestled in Downton Oxnard. Yes my friends. To all familiar with the geographical location of the ‘nard, it’s probably one of the more sketchier places in town. So don’t bother dressing up. Or showing off designer things. Lol Once you get pass by the environment outside of the restaurant it’s actually a pretty decent place to get phở! The interior was well kept, nice and clean. They had a variety of phở choices, vegetable roll and other viet food The server/owner was nice — if you’ve been to asian places before they just really drop by when you need something. I was surprised by how big their phở bowl serving were! Def a bang for your buck. The broth was seasoned well and really, it was like I was having phở at an LA/Southbay place.

FINALLY!!! Bánh Mì(Vietnamese Sandwich) has RETURNED to Ventura County! Whew, that was a long time coming!!! Despite the deliciousness of the Vietnamese cuisine, bánh mì in its authentic French baguette form, has not been readily accessible in the VC, so cravings had to be satisfied outside our area. NOTANYMORE!!! Tanx, Phở First Choice for making a leap of faith! Located close to Five Points in Oxnard(intersection of Wooley Road, Oxnard Blvd. & Saviers Road) in the Bobilu Center, its parking lot is cramped like sardines and designed to fit Prii and Mini-Coopers. They’re also competing with 3 other eateries. Thankfully, there’s SOME dedicated spots, so hopefully, 1 will be available fo’ ya to eek into! I got my order to take away and only took about 10 minutes to blaze out. We sampled a few sammies… Bánh Mì Thit Nuóng(Grilled Marinated Pork) and Gà Nuóng(Grilled Marinated Chicken): Foot long French baguette has the right messy crunch when bit into. Both meat offerings were soft and tender, definitely flavorful. Decent meat quantity at menu price, but for $ 1.50 or $ 2 extra(depending on who’s there) you can double the meat to satisfy the monster hunger pangs! YEAH! There is a light spread of mayo, but the pickled daikon, shredded carrots, cilantro, jalepeños, and cucumbers make it a more wholesome endeavor. A third option for sammie is Bánh Mì Bò Nuóng(marinated beef). I’ve enjoyed the Bánh Mì here and have been back several times since these initial pictures. Quality has been consistent and service has been friendly and prompt. If yur looking to get yur Bánh Mì on in Oxnard, right here could satisfy those cravings ;)
