This little, cozy coffeehouse has become a «must visit» on trips to Pacific Beach State Park. First, the staff know how to make an «Americano» and have always been great with service. I usually only order Americano when no drip or french press is available because I don’t really care for the milk-coffee drinks and I have found that most coffee houses don’t appreciate the Americano and it ends of being watered down coffee(blah). At the Surfhouse, they make a great cup! Reason #2 are the cinnamon rolls which others with a better palate can attest to. An Americano and a cinnamon roll pretty much is all I need for a day of beach! They also have chowders and other items(ice cream) which I am itching to try. They tend to close after lunch(early afternoon), so day trippers need to plan to start their afternoon there. If you are camping, however, it is a great way to start the morning.

Pacific Beach, WA: Cute and cozy coffee shop. They serve Seattle’s Best Coffee and use Torani syrups. My almond milk mochas were good but served in paper cups whether sipping in or taking to go. Limited food menu. When I was there, the White Clam Chowder was not available. Their cookies and muffins are yummy but are commercial products. However, I had a fresh Chocolate Chocolate Chip Muffin one day and a soft Coconut Mac Nut Chocolate Chip cookie at another time. Both were as delicious as house baked. Much of their seating, whether at the long counter or at the tables, are near power outlets. Their free wifi is pretty speedy. Service was consistently friendly and helpful. Angled parking on street by front door on First Street. Snapshot Thought: My high regards for this shop dropped several notches when I noticed that the contents of the last medium mocha I had ordered was short an inch from the lip of the cup and an attempt was made to fill the gap with the whipped cream I wanted.

Nice place, Good Coffee and Baked goods. There does not seem to be a lot of stuff in Pacific Beach these days — its kinda depressed. This place was a great find. It is spacious. They have WIFI too!

This is a cozy little café right off of the beach. It’s a great place for a a quick lunch. I grabbed a chilli dog and an expresso milkshake. They also offered Ivar’s clam chowder and the soup da jour was chicken and dumplings. They also had a selection of Umpqua ice cream. My fiancée got a scoop of huckleberry cheesecake. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The café also offered free wi-fi.

Tasty little breakfast/snack/lunch place. It’s menu is limited but what they have is well done. Good coffee drinks too. We loved the cinnamon rolls. The breakfast sandwiches are small but hit the spot.

This place is part of our family tradition when in Pacific Beach. Comfy cabin feel, piano, wicker basket/glass table, couch and two chairs in the«living room», friendly staff. Credit card OK on purchases over $ 5. Decent amount of other seating — 4 tables, 4 stools, and a few seats out on the narrow deck. I go for breakfast sandwiches, bacon or sausage, egg, cheese; cinnamon rolls and waffles. Recent stop was for 4 drinks, three sandwiches, a waffle and a cinnamon roll. $ 33. Drinks made with Seattle’s best coffee are pretty consistent. Cinnamon rolls are good but need to be heated and could use more cinnamon and frosting for my sweet tooth. Waffles are also tasty and cooked to order. They also have lunch bites like hot dogs and clam chowder but I haven’t tried those. Smoothies are also on the menu along with about 10 – 12 ice creams. Great for when the sun is out at the beach! They also have beautiful cards($ 10 each) handcrafted by artist Jessica Ditto. We bought one to give away(wedding theme) and the other, a ballerina, to frame for our daughters room.

Went here based on other Unilocal reviews saying they had THEBEST coffee — they did not. It was simply OK. The atmosphere was very cute and the barista was extremely friendly — coffee, just OK, it was a little strong for me. My husband liked it more than I because he likes a good strong cup of coffee — I’m somewhat of a wuss when it comes to that lol. I like coffee that is smooth and not bitter, more on the sweet side. I will say she did add 3 shots to a 20oz hot beverage(Carmel Macchiato), I am used to only 2 shots — which could explain why it was so strong for me — so keep that in mind. It was also my first time trying Tully’s coffee — so it could’ve been that I don’t like that brand too. Anyway, it looked like a nice place to come relax maybe even read a book or something. They also had a cute little play room for kids with a chalkboard wall :-)

What a great respite from the wind, rain and cold. This is a cute coffee shop attached to a cute boutique. The soy hot chocolate was wonderful, the pastries looked yummy. The barista was friendly, what more can you ask for? Cinnamon rolls with rainsins!

I love this little place. I spent a few days relaxing in Pacific Beach and stopped in for my morning coffee on a couple occasions. Friendly barista and good lattes. If my cottage hadn’t been so cute I would have spent time hanging out and reading my book here.

Great little espresso shop with comfy couches and café seating. Also has clam chowder, strawberry waffles, cinnamon roles, and other freshly made baked goods.
