This place is a good example of having to pay a little extra for better service. It still has a mom and pop shop feel even though it is a chain. The employees I’ve dealt with have all greeted me and asked if I needed help right when I walked in. For a hardware, this is a big deal after frequenting Home Depot and Lowe’s, both which are very lame in the service department.
I’ve had good experiences at this location and hope they keep up the same friendly attitude lacking at other hardwares in the area.

They are smaller then other Ace stores, but recently it seems they are working harder on their customer service. In particular Karl goes out of his way to help.
This is my most recent review of my local Ace, and I do recommend them.

I found the store to be very clean and well organized. The store is stocked with 1 million items, and the lumberyard is very diverse. There aren’t that many staff members though, so you have to track them down to get help finding what you need. I went in to get some keys copied, and after I found the staff member, it only took five minutes to copy 2 keys. Very fast service. I’ll be recommending this place!

The only issue about this place is the price – everything is about 30% more than the big box stores – however, when I’m in a bind, I go here rather than fly over the hill to Home Depot. I understand the need to make a profit, but I’d gladly come here more often if they’d lower the price a touch.

Good service from the older people at this store. Bad/​non caring service and attitude from the younger crowd.
Too bad, great store, just hard to find stuff if your dealing with a highschooler.

Houston, TX
Surprisingly large store with a great variety of items. Shopping here really feels like you are supporting a local family-​run business. The staff are all super-​friendly and helpful. The prices are right and the store is clean, altho a bit outdated. But I love to come here to shop.
