I come here everyday and it’s the absolute best in Pacifica! Everyone that works here is so sweet as well.

So glad I decided to try this place since I had an appointment nearby and live so close. I had the English zebra mocha which was a black and white mocha with toffee. So tasty! They even had decaf espresso which is hard to find in some places. Didn’t get to try the baked goods, but they looked yummy. It is cash only, but I was prepared since I checked out Unilocal beforehand. Great location since you can sit there or walk to the nearby beach. Can’t wait to go back and try some of the other drink combinations they offer.

OMG! I was down here staying for the weekend over a month ago and I forgot to review this place! We had just finished breakfast and were strolling around town. We came across this nice little coffee café place and decided to sit a bit and have some coffee and relax in a so civilized way. Vacay is fun! Service was no problem, just coffee plain. We actually sat and read a real newspaper … no WiFi here… like going back in time! We must of looked like an old married couple with each our noses buried in a upheld newspaper, reaching around just to sip our coffees! Oh, yes, cash here only… like the old days! So no, you can’t pay using your app on the phone! Great place to relax and let the rest of the world be somewhere else! I like the coffee too!

I was in Pacifica for their 30th Annual Fog Festival last weekend. Sunday morning I enjoyed a brisk walk and run up and down the hills surrounding Rockaway Beach. My hotel room didn’t have coffee, so after my run all I wanted was a latte and right now! I was walking along and spied a couple with espresso. They were kind enough to point me in the direction of Pacific Java. What a treat to walk in and be warmly welcomed. There before me were mouth watering bakery goods that tempted me beyond believe! I resisted the temptation only because I can’t eat after running, ha. I ordered a nonfat, almond latte with a double shot of espresso… it was delicious. The perfect way to end my morning run and walk. I’ll remember this place for the next time I’m in the area.

Wonderful and low key, the antithesis to Starbucks nonsense and good(not great) coffee. A pity that here too the anti gluten brigade have caught foothold… oh well. 3 stars for the coffee, 5 for the place.

Service here is a mixed bag. It’s always a little dark here. The pastry and baked goods are inconsistent in quality ranging from just OK to good.

Tucked in a quiet and quaint part of Pacifica is Pacific Java Café. I think it’s named appropriately since its a few meters away from the Pacific Ocean and Rockaway Beach. It’s right off of Highway One and right across Sea Bowl and Gorilla’s BBQ. They serve good coffee at very reasonable prices. The staff is very nice and attentive, and it definitely has a small town feel to it. I love the vibe of the place as it instantly makes you feel relaxed and comfortable for some reason. Maybe it’s the Feng Shui, perhaps? They have pastries and baked goods that are great company with your coffee. Whether you’re on the go or decide to sip your coffee at a leisurely pace while enjoying the place(I prefer and highly recommend the latter), this spot will definitely win your heart. Go ahead and read a book. Sit outside and let it all soak in. This is a charming little place that can relieve some stress while enjoying a good brew of Java. NOTE: Cash only. And quit b*tchin if they don’t have Wi-Fi. Take your laptop and go to Starbucks for all I care. People need to unplug and get connected again instead of being«connected» on line.

What a great little place! I use to live here until we moved when I was in the 3rd grade back in 19**…lol…and so much has changed! My niece lives here now and we were wandering around playing tourist and she had not been here yet. Friendly hello and the guy working made our order was great! This unpretentious place is a nice respite and I would definitely return when I’m in the area!

Way better than Starbucks by a long shot. They’ve got great breads but sadly no sandwiches. They baristas, mainly Steven, are great. There’s no wifi, but it’s a great place to sit and chit chat for a while. They’ve got the Perfect Pour here, in this P-town Café.

This place is a gem! I had no clue it existed until a friend took me here. the coffees here are wonderful and there are some great pastries. it’s quiet and quaint. I’m doing 4 stars only because its cash only and i so rarely have cash on hand so i have to remember to get cash before going over the hill. but it is worth the trip to the ATM

Great little café with one of the largest selection of brews I’ve seen. It’s number one on my list, also because of the tranquil location.

Absolutely LOVE this place!!! I grew up in Pacifica, and we stop at this coffee shop every time I come home to visit my family. This place reminds me of all the great things about this little town along the coast; friendly, laid back, peaceful. I get my favorite coffee drink, take it to the beach and sit on the rocks while I sip the wonderful flavor and drink in the sea(am I setting the scene?) before heading up Fassler to my parents house. Or if we have my 95 yr old grandmother with us, she loves to pick out a tasty cake,(they have a good variety) sip coffee in the ambiance of a quaint little shop with no rush or frenzied energies. Yes, there is no Wi Fi, but you can take your laptop down the road to the ever generic Starbucks, which leaves the seats for those who enjoy conversation, coffee, and what ever flavor of the day music they are playing. Cash makes everything simple, no fraud, no bad checks, never have to worry about someone hacking their database, no complications, just enjoy the coffee

Laid-back, no frills café, hot and cold drinks, pastries, bagels, hard-boiled eggs, cash only but with ATM machine inside(as long as it’s working), some outdoor seating, in the Rockaway Beach area.

Came here about 2 weeks ago to get some homework done and had no idea they had no Wi-Fi. I didn’t realize this until I had already placed my order with the barista. The other inconvenience about this little café is that they only take cash. Lucky for me I had $ 3 in my coin purse and was able to get a tea for $ 1.50. I sat outside in the patio area for about 1 hour typing up some notes and it was very peaceful, but then more people started coming and it was hard to get work done. I’d say this little café is great if your not needing the internet and want to just chat with some locals, which seems the thing to do around here. Overall this is a cute little spot for some treats and visiting neighbors and if your in the area and need some chill time then this would be a good place to start.

A very special café in Pacifica. They have loose leaf teas. I love the monks prayer. I also love their flavored coffee. This café reminds me of San Francisco coffee houses before the glitz and glam. A treasure in Pacifica.

The décor is very nautical and old-timey, which I love(if you’ve ready any of my previous reviews, you know I love old school). It’s right by Rockaway Beach, so definitely check it out after a brisk walk or after having a period of relaxation on the sand. It wasn’t crowded at all when I went. In fact, my dad and I were the only customers at the time. There is a good amount of seating, including a cute little sitting area with couches and tables upstairs. And YES, there is outside seating as well for those warmer days. Yay! Bring your doggies :) I ordered a zebra mocha, which was delicious. I’m not a big coffee person, and when I do drink it, I HATE when it’s bitter. The zebra mocha was perfect. Definitely get that. I also ordered the veggie quiche, which contains mushrooms, red peppers, ricotta and cheddar cheese, leeks, and zucchini. Yeah, I hate zucchini, but I gave the quiche a chance anyway. It was good, but it was HOT. I burned the roof of my mouth when I took my first bite, and I hate to wait at least fifteen minutes to eat more. Finally, I ordered the poppyseed cake slice(I think that’s what it was.) It was alright, but it was very sweet. Don’t get me wrong, I love sweets, but I’ll probably go for something else the next time I go there. Overall, great atmosphere, great coffee, and the lady that worked when I was there was super friendly. Four stars!

Thank you, fellow Unilocalers! We stumbled upon this little gem while on our way to Santa Cruz driving down highway 1. I’m so jealous of the people who live nearby! I’d come here everyday! Great coffee, great prices. I was a bit hungover, and I devoured the entire sample plate of day old Zucchini bread chunks they had out on the counter. It was quite good — I’m assuming the other pastries they offer are even better!

The decaf espresso is *fantastic*. Do you know how hard it is to pull a good decaf espresso? Hint: really hard. The only downside is that the cappuccino is the hyperfoamy meringue style, so you probably want a latte. Fabulous coffee, though. Also cheap.
