Tad Craig Photography

I would highly recommend Tad Craig to anyone who needs a photographer. He photographed our wedding and we feel so lucky to have found him. Planning a destination wedding is stressful but Tad really put our minds at ease. You can tell just by talking to him that he has a passion for what he does and it shows in his work. Not only did our pictures turn out beautiful but all of our guests loved Tad too! It felt like he was a guest at our wedding. Anyone who needs a photographer in Maui should definitely call Tad Craig!

Tad is the best. I cared about two things for my wedding: the people and the photos. Tad blew us out of the water with the photos — his shots are beautiful, artistic, and creative. We unfortunately had rain on our wedding day, and Tad turned that into a blessing by giving us a ton of amazing reflection shots off of puddles. He was super dedicated to capturing the best moments from our day — at one point he even laid down on the wet dance floor to get a shot of all of our guests hovering over him. Needless to say the photo turned out amazing and he didn’t even complain about having mud on his back! We’re so glad we found Tad for our big day — our guests are from far and wide were complimenting him throughout the day as well! Whenever we have another momentous occasion in Maui, we’ll re-​hire Tad in a heartbeat! His assistant, Marie-​Claude was awesome too — both of them were just super nice and easy to work with… and above all, amazing photographers

We were in Maui for our honeymoon and Tad was able to set us up with a photography session on an afternoon at the Fairmont hotel and we were absolutely thrilled with his professionalism and expertise. Tad showed up early and greeted us at the hotel lobby. Tad was very kind and helpful throughout the session and knew some great spots throughout the hotel to take pictures.
Our photoshoot took place in the evening before sunset so we transitioned from the hotel to the beach for the sunset and Tad set up lighting for some sunset pictures which turned out amazing. There were at least two other photographers on the beach at the same time but neither of them had any lighting.
The best part was that Tad was able to show us some of the pics on his camera right after he took them so we could get a sense of how they looked, our wedding photographer didn’t even do that so we were very appreciative.
Tad did great work, had a lot of great direction throughout the session (which we needed) and was timely, kind and helpful throughout.
We’ll definitely recommend Tad to others in the Maui area.

Tad’s work speaks for itself! When my now husband and I were planning our destination wedding in Maui, I started researching Photographers before I had a coordinator and a date. Most of our family and friends were not going to be able to travel and I wanted «The Best Photographer.» After all your wedding day is the most important day of your life. I followed Tad on Facebook and other social network sites for at least a year. I was always amazed at how he captured true images and I could see the photos as if I was there. When we finally set a date and contacted our coordinator, Kara with «Your Aloha Wedding, who is also amazing» I asked her if she worked with Tad and told her that’s who I wanted to hire to photograph my wedding. I would show my husbands Tad’s work and bragged as if I knew him personally! My coordinator contacted him for availability and he was available! It was the most exciting day of my life.
The day of our wedding Tad was capturing photos immediately. My ceremony had to be held at a different site due to beach conditions at my original location and it was difficult for my guest and I to get to the beach. Tad was very professional, nice and fun to work with. Once the ceremony was over, he was kind enough to take us back to our original location which was accessible and safe for the brave at heart and got some excellent photos and sunset shots. Tad is very precise, detailed and knows how to capture every moment. He went above & beyond to get the best shots possible without us realizing the magnitude of his effort while we were in the moment. We look at our sneak peak photos multiple times a day and are amazed by the pictures that he captured. All of our friends and family that have viewed our photos cannot believe they are real!!! He has blessed us with a lifetime of memories that we can share with others.

We were fortunate to have Tad Craig capture our wedding in Makena, Maui on 04/​15/​2011. Tad was a professional from the start, was an absolute blast to work with and captured some amazing images on our special day. When we first started the search for a photographer, the number of options on Maui was a little overwhelming, but thank goodness we found Tad. His ability to frame shots perfectly, his use of high end equipment (camera, lenses and lighting) and variations in elevation and background made for an incredible final product. He’s a must for your Maui photography needs.

Tad is easy and so personal to work with. Our pastor actually did not show up at the time of our ceremony, and Tad was really wonderful in easing the situation and still took beautiful pictures during that time. He even found our pastor to replace the one that was no show!!! Tad was a life saver!!! We just ordered our book, and pictures and are very happy with his work. You will not regret having Tad take pictures on your big day. We didn’t!!!

We got married in Maui on 3÷28÷11 and we went with Tad Craig Photography. He took AMAZING pictures and he was so great to work with. Tad is so personable and he made it such a fun experience. We just got our proofs and they turned out beautiful. I highly recommend Tad!
