Dunkin’ Donuts / Baskin-Robbins

Bad customer service, bad food, unfriendly.
Let me point out that it is this specific location on Dundee Road in Palatine that I had a bad experience at. I will never return to this location. From now on I will just go to a different location because I do genuinely like Dunkin Donuts.
I walked up to the register… No «can I help you?»…it was more of an uncomfortable silence as the cashier just looked at me. I eventually just started rattling off my order. Remember that your job is primarily customer service and greeting a customer. Fail!
The girl that handed me my food when it was ready was obviously miserable working there. Why make it so obvious to other people? That won’t help anyones business. I do understand being at a job that you don’t like sucks so I really just felt bad for her. Either way… Fail ;-(
Next…Ordered a bacon, egg and cheese bagel sandwich to go… got home only to find out the bagel is torched. Well that hit the garbage. Also, ordered hash browns which were also burned to a crisp (again…garbage) and there were only 4 of these little things. Big time FAIL!
At least the coffee was good.
Be wise and choose a different location!

I have mixed feelings about this Dunkin’ Donuts. It’s in a convenient location but I’ve had both positive and negative experiences. Therefore, I will give it 3 stars.
Positive experience: in the summer, there was a man who was very friendly and nice. He gave my sister, who has a disability, a free donut. I really appreciated that.
Negative experience: I’m a big Dunkin’ fan so I always have free donut codes from the receipts when you fill out a survey about your experience. This is the only Dunkin’ I have been to that will not honor those if you buy coffee during happy hour.
My last visit, I ordered a large iced coffee during happy hour and gave my code but it didn’t go through, so I asked to return the donut. A lady, who I assume was the manager, told me to wait until the cashier was done helping all the customers behind me. I didn’t appreciate that or that fact that she was rude. She should have taken care of it right then. I did get the money back after several minutes of waiting.
Later, she brought out the donut and said I could have it for free. I was appreciative but basically, I waited all that time for the return when she could have just honored the code for the free donut because she gave it to me anyway. End of rant.
Overall, an A-​OK place to grab coffee and donuts. Will be back because it’s in a convenient location for me. The service really depends on the cashier. It was really loud with blenders, employees playing music on their phones, the TV, and other customers. I’m not sure if it’s only like this at night. It may not be conducive for studying.

This is one of the worst Baskin Robbins/​Dunkin Doughnuts location I have been to. Their employees are not very polite. There always seems to be someone new there in training then gone the next week. The food is served incorrectly the orders are always screwed up. Try a different location this one does not make the cut.

Ugh, so much for this map. We are too early for an appointment in the area so we decided to grab a donut and coffee from DD. Today, Unilocal has let us down with directions.
Once we got here, everything was alright. This place has Drive-​Thru but from experience, I can’t rely on knowing what kind of selection of donuts they are going to have.
Not only did they have a decent selection, the woman asked me to wait so she can make my mom a fresh cup of Decaf.

This location is one of the worst that I have been to. I live down the street and have yet to receive a correct order, dispute the numerous times I have been here. You have to repeat your order several times and yet when you pull up to the window, it is still not correct.
Also, if a current employee is reading this, PLEASE stir the flavoring into the coffee. EVERY time I order a coffee, the flavor is at the bottom. I understand this is a «first world problem», but I am paying money for something that should be made properly.

Great place when u want donuts and ice cream. I love the breakfast sandwiches. Bacon, egg, and cheese on a croissant. Definitely one of the nicest Dunkin Donuts I’ve been too!

I order a shake and I got very little ice cream and more milk it ²⁰⁄₈₀ mix that bad and the dum kid dose not now how to wear a hat when going to work it shood not be chock to one side. I come her evey day I will not become when this kids here.

This is the only Dunkin Donuts on my way to work. And I really wish there was another one. This is by far the worst Dunkin I have ever been to and coming from a Dunkin addict that’s saying something. I go there daily and they have gotten more orders wrong than right. Maybe they need to turn up the drive through speaker because they can never seem to understand what I order… Medium iced coffee with cream and sugar… What’s so hard about that. Sometimes I get a hot coffee, sometimes there is no sugar, sometimes no cream. And then I have to sit there and wait for them to get it right… 0 stars in my opinion.

Don’t try to order through the drive-​through. The person on the other end will speak to you in gibberish until you’re forced to go inside anyway. Also, the people that work there seem like the type that would follow you home and rob you at gunpoint. They have 24 flavors; not the advertised 31. I had mint chocolate chip and it was mostly freezer-​burned.

I won’t be going through the drive thru again. I have tried a total of 3 times to go through there on the way to work, but they never got the order right once. I order a turkey sausage flatbread and they give me the veggie one instead. I’m pretty fed up with it, so I’m done.

What a better way to start my day with a pumpkin coffee! EM EMM EMM Sometimes there staff is not so friendly but hey I love my coffee from there!

The service here was so so, but the ice ream was really good! That’s all.

I frequency this DD enough to where the cashiers know my order. Coffee is incredible and donuts seem to be fresher than most other locations. Even writing about this makes me want some coffee right now… Mmmm…

This Dunkin’ Donuts drove me MAD on a daily basis. I finally gave up going there. They messed up my order 8 outta 10 times I drove through. Who knew ice coffee with cream/​sugar and the occasional wake-​up wrap could be so confusing?
Let me list thy ways they can mess it up…
–Sometimes my coffee would be filled up only ¾ of the way.
–Sometimes they put so much cream in, it’s nearly white.
–Sometimes they give me the wrong coffee flavor all together.
–Sometimes they give you the bogus cup that spills all over your car and you the entire morning :(
–Sometimes they give you coffee w/​no straw. ANNOYING.
–Sometimes they burn the wake-​up wrap black and still give it to you.
–Sometimes it’s still half frozen.
–Sometimes instead of a wake-​up wrap, you get some other food item all together.
–Not to mention I usually had to repeat my order at the window. AND often they’re NOT even friendly. (Except for the one older/​middle aged woman in the mornings. I liked her)
Since there’s another Dunkin’ a little further down Rand, I go there now. The people are nice, fast and allow me to start off my day happy not annoyed.
UGG. If you can’t tell, I was happy to find this Unilocal to finally «let it all out.» This Dunkin’ sucks!!!

coffee is good when its fresh so you got to get in in the morning during rush hour times when they got the crew that speaks english comfortably nad works and moves fast… otherwise you get the old lady who you have to repeat the order to at the window when you just ordered at the mic in the drive through where they still may mess it up… me and my family spends a good $ 100 a month here and man when its not the morning rush hour crew i end saying really ignorant crap about the employees there cuz the service is so bad… infuriating bad and i’m addicted to the dunkin donuts coffee made by their commercial peculators not the crap i have at home so its love hate relationship that i can’t leave…

My absolute favorite DD location. Good service, clean, and always open!

Wow. This place has it all: a deli, donuts, cookies, and ice cream. The Indian cashiers are hilarious and cajoled me into purchasing three ice cream scoops when I really wanted two.
A fool and his money are soon parted …
