The best tofu soup during the winter. My favorite place to go to. I get medium spicy usually that has everything in it. The korean cucumber sided dish us very tangy. Very refreshing to go with the hot soup.

Refillable side dishes, not the greatest variety, but the price, quality and portion of the soondubu(tofu) is tough to beat. In my opinion, this place beats its cheaper competitors around the area, although BCD would probably have the upper hand with a greater variety of side dishes and more on the menu. Nevertheless, this is still my family’s go-to place for soondubu.

This place is a nice little gem. Menu is uncomplicated, but full enough for your tofu soup fill. You can get a choice of beef, seafood, or veggies in your soup. We complimented our mushroom tofu soups with Kalbi and the Seafood pancake. Staff is friendly and polite… kind of laughed at us because we over ordered and ate more than we should have. Oh well… tomorrow I’ll juice, LOL. We’ll be back… next time I’m trying the squid!

Great staple for soondubu craving. I typically get either the oyster or kimchi beef. The oyster soondubu could use a few more oysters but their spice and flavor really hits the spot. Rice comes piping hot in a stone bowl and the best part is scraping the crispy rice off the bowl ;). Their spicy pork is yummy as well but watch out for the heat. Banchan is a fairly good selection. Service was pretty good, not much to complain about all the times that I’ve been here. Overall, good and affordable place for good olé Korean food!

Service was great, the waiter got us 2nd and 3rd rounds of the small side dishes before we even asked. As soon as we finish he was at our table. The kalbi looked good, but we all got Song Doo Boo. Food taste: it was yummy BUTBUT i was super bloated from 6:30pm-11:30pm and even when I was trying to sleep I felt bloated. It might be just my and my friend’s body digestion. Atmosphere: we went around 5pm, so there wasn’t much of wait for our food. I ate the beef SDB, I love how the soup melts with the grainy rice.(You can eat the grain one by one) I also had boba tea from boba land that might be why I was extra bloated. Would not get SDB again, maybe I’ll get kalbi next time if I come back here.

Needless to say this place is my favorite tofu house ever! The food is so fresh and delicious and much more reasonably priced than the other tofu houses! The service is okay but they’re relatively quick with bringing out the food!

Soondubu here really hits the spot — it’s a good place to come after sweating for a whole day at King Sauna(5−10mins walking). Nothing else much to say except very reasonable prices and many options to choose from. Okay TBH, the reason why I love this place is cause they’re so good at refilling their ban chan. I ask for at least like 3 rounds of their cucumber kimchi cause it’s that good. It’s so sad not a lot of places these days have cucumber kimchi anymore!

Got the kimchi beef soondubu, max spicy. Looks super red but kind of bland in flavor, not even spicy. Also got their seafood pancake which was really bland and not fried enough. The side dishes are good. The tofu was soft, but I wish their soup was more flavorful :(

I’ve been here couple times already because they have the best tofu soup. The price is reasonable. The place is neat and the servers are nice. They also have side dishes, which you can always ask for more if u ran out of it.

Soondoobu is definitely a staple here. Cheap and delicious, I always come back for it. The bibimbap is alright, not the best but not the worst. The service can be pretty rough… But some days are better than others

The Story: Stopped there for lunch this past Saturday. I am in love with this place. Food: Prices are very good and their kalbi isn’t super expensive like the Tofu House in Fort Lee($ 5 difference). The soup is very flavorful and great assortment of banchan. I also liked how they have a personalized stone pot for each patron. Price: Very fair. Each tofu soup is $ 10 and the Kalbi was $ 16 Décor: Fair dining room. Lots of seating but I don’t feel cramped like in Tofu House. Service: Service is your average Asian service. They are nice but aren’t very attentive but I guess thats what the button on the table is for. My only complaint is that they forgot our kalbi for the first half of the meal :/ Parking & Finding the Place: Located on broad ave in pal park on the second floor of a little business complex. Can be difficult to find(just gotta look up!) and they make street parking extremely easy with paid parking using your credit/debit cards.(who carries quarters these days anyway?) Additional Thoughts: I think I found my new tofu soup place!

Good place to get soft tofu. Their pork ribs are really good. Downside, some dishes take a long time to come out like their steamed dumplings. Their spiciest setting on their tofu is not spicy enough for me, but maybe that’s just a personal choice. They give you a lot of food for what you pay for, staff is ok with hospitality. Good place to come to when you need something homey and hot in the cold weather

Love this place for SDB(soondubu). They have many different options of SDB to choose from, plus a bunch of different dishes, like gable and grilled octopus. I love that you get your own stone bowl of rice to eat with your stew. I always get the kimchi SDB and my family always orders the grilled octopus. The octopus comes out grilled with a nice smoky flavor, with spicy sauce on the side. It has a very clean flavor because they don’t marinate or season it. Another thing I love about this place is their cucumber banchan(side dish). It’s perfectly sweet and brined and is refreshingly cool while consuming your hot stew with hot rice. The prices are great, service is good, and the food is consistently delicious.

$ 9.99 Mushroom Soft Tofu Stew. I like the food, it’s good price, and good proportion. Unlimited side dish refills. Tables are clean

My favorite place in New Jersey to grab the best soondubu! Whenever I’m in the neighborhood, I have stop by. It’s perfect for winter time, but I’ve had it in the summer too. They gives you tons of side dishes and the rice comes in a hot stone bowl. It’s awesome. I like to order the kimchi or mushroom second level of spiciness. Don’t forget to add in the egg in the beginning so it cooks while it’s still bubbling and you can add hot water to your rice after you’re done to make a yummy porridge!

Overall 4 this place would have been a solid 5 if my tofu soup actually had soup in it. The kalbi beef was good. It had a hint of cinnamon in it which was strange but still tastey. The service was good. They gave us more sides when we asked for it. Except the one waiter who gave us his hand and said wait when we asked to get more sides and never came back! We asked again and he did get it eventually. Oh and they give a huge bowl of rice too!

My go to spot whenever I’m in the mood for some Korean spicy soup! I’ve been to this restaurant countless times and I almost always leave satisfied~ I personally prefer this restaurant over the well known BCD tofu house. To those who love spicy food in general, make sure to order the soup ‘more spicy’!

I LOVE this place. Tastiest sundubu ever, and a full platter of perfectly grilled galbi for $ 16? Get outta town. I always get the bulgogi sundubu, most spicy level with a platter of galbi. This ALWAYS hits the spot, especially on a cold winter night. And they give you rice in a proper stone bowl, so at the end you can have the crispy rice that forms along the sides — MMMMMM! Also, the servers don’t try to be all overly attentive. They just ask for your order and bring you the food — which I like. Sometimes you just need to cut the bs and chow down, you know?

First of all, loved their soondooboo(tofu soup). BUT, I give only 3 stars because the servers were really annoying and rude. So when you order the tofu soup, you get one raw egg on the side so you can put it in the soup. I am the type of person who prefers to put the egg after I finish all the tofu in the soup. So I was just saving it and 2 servers(yes, 2) came to me and grabbed my egg, saying, «if you’re not gonna eat it, I’m gonna take it.» What the heck? I had to stop them saying«I’m gonna eat it later. Don’t take it please.» TWICE. Aren’t I paying my $ for that? What the heck is their problem? I guess they wanna save eggs so badly, apparently. Maybe I am overreacting but that alone almost ruined my dining experience. Do not try to take away stuff unless a customer asks you to. Geez. Although I love their soup, I’m not sure I wanna go back soon.
