What a place. Still as good as I remember, just more expensive. Business lunch was our destination and this room served us well. Fish sandwiches and salads all around. Perfect. Service was perfect. They will validate your $ 30 parking if you spend $ 30. That was easy with three people, so we all got free parking. Nice touch for interlopers like us. Check out the banquet rooms on the way. Stunning design and ceiling artwork. You can also see displays of the history of the property. We finished with a stroll on the beach. Perfect.

Expensive but the food and atmosphere are worth it. If you site at the bar you can watch fish swim within the bar’s built in aquarium or at a table to view the ocean. The service is great too. We always try and stop when we’re in town and order the great crab cakes as an appetizer. We also had one stone crab claw for $ 28! My wife had the tuna tartare tostado which was fresh and full of flavor. Could be a new favorite. The walk from the hotel entrance through the large decorative halls to the Sea Bar is quite spectacular.

We all know that service everywhere has gone down – unless you were born after 1980, everyone knows this. So maybe my review doesn’t even matter. Young people today are not taught what excellent service is. They don’t want to do anything that they don’t like – this includes working. I don’t think they even know – or care… Anyway, this problem actually comes from the top. This place is owned either by people who could care less about what has happened to their establishment, or people that are just so out of touch, that they wouldn’t know even if you told them. At $ 600 for four people to eat dinner, there should have been no issues. There were too many to list. We had to ask for everything. Water, napkins, horseradish – butter. What a joke. A real disappointment. Sad. The end of an era. Goodbye to the America I knew…

Definitely worth trying. Great seafood options and delicious cocktails. I got the scallops and it was coocked to perfection served with pearl couscous. Valet service was excellent and covered by the restaurant. We loved the lobby, the gardens, the pool and sipping on cocktails by the ocean. The only reason why I’m giving this place 4 stars and not 5 is because there were some issues with our service.

Fancy ambiance. Mediocre food. Nothing mind blowing. I’m guessing the 4&5 stars reviews from others are after quite a few cocktails and also the salty ocean breeze influencing their judgment. I’m sorry but I can’t lie and embellish an «OK» at best experience in a restaurant. Just because a place is situated oceanside in a fancy hotel(which is just another Floridian time share place, one of millions in ft lauderdale!) does not qualify it for embellishment of a review. In other words the food matters just as much as the fancy fish tank bar or ocean view. Which is not that fancy or unusual or mind blowing. So I don’t get ppl. More confused at the ratings ppl are giving this place than the below average food we ate here. Conch fritters are standard everywhere so couldn’t this place offer something different or a different take on it? It’s not like it’s on the list of a «cheap eats» places to visit. If we were not in a hurry to catch our flight I would have posted pics and you could have seen what I meant. I guess I was not impressed enough to even feel like taking any pics of even the ocean view or the fish tank bar nor the food that ppl are raving about.(Guess ppl don’t get out much or travel globally idk?!) I know that sounds horribly snobbish but I have to be honest. If you saw what Taipei or okasaka or other seafood places around the world offered you too would feel very sorry if this is what you got to eat at a regular Oceanside restaurant. The standard is set quite low in the U.S. for real foodies. It seems like it doesn’t take much to impress ppl. Needless to say –Won’t be going back anytime soon.

Gorgeous restaurant, my crab cakes were perfect, kale-beet salad however was lacking in both taste and appearance. The fish tacos that my son ordered were just so so, for the the price not so wonderful.

Beautiful restaurant with beautiful views of the ocean but both food and service need improvements. We got the sampler in appetizer section and it came with 3 balls of conch fritters, a few pieces of coconut shrimps and a bowl of crab nachos. Conch fritters were too chewy and tasteless. Both the shrimps and nachos were also just ok. The most unpleasant part of our meal was that a 20% service charge was automatically added to our bill, even though there was only 2 of us. The menu said«All prices are subject to service charge and state sales tax.» However, it didn’t say the service charge was going to be 20%. Customers actually have discretion over the amount but when 20% was already added onto the bill, it’s awkward and embarrassing for customers who want to put a different percentage to ask the waiter for a new bill. Basically it’s sleazy and many customers probably don’t bother to change the percentage(assuming they realized that 20% was already added), even if they’re less than satisfied with the service. The manager was very professional in responding to our complaint and I hope our suggestions will be implemented.

Stayed at The Breakers couple of times, I always came down to try have the kale salad. I wish I took pictures! The service is excellent, the view was perfect. Clear skies. Almost thought I was right next to the ocean; pun. My brother and I would always grab a chair at the bar and watch the little fishes come stare at us. The lights seemed a little too much, hope the fishes don’t go crazy, partying too much might be bad for the fishes. I liked the old fashion main LED norm light.

Have you ever fancied drinking a bloody mary with bacon and a huge shrimp in it while watching fish swim inside the bar aka the bar is actually a fish tank? Pretty fascinating. At $ 16 a pop, the cocktail are ok in price by NYC standards. The bloody mary was good but wasn’t as strong or tasty as I would have liked it to be. Maybe a few more dashes of tabasco and peppers would make it better. We started off sitting at the bar, staring at the ocean then decided to migrate to a table, right by the window, so that we could continue admiring the ocean. Our waiter was an interesting guy. He must have been a used car salesman in his past life. He kept trying to upsell everything. Is he that desperate for tips? NOTE: a 20% tip is automatically added. The size of your party doesn’t matter. My friend ordered the truffle fries but he kept persuading her to order the Gorgonzola fries because it was a few dollars more. Granted, those fries were good but a tad bit too salty. When I asked for water, he only offered Pellgrino or some other fancy water brand(maybe Evian)… and I simply said, «Tap water please». As for food, I had the Cajun burger– avocado, pepper jack cheese on a bun. It was actually pretty good. It came with a small side of fries which were very well seasoned. I am used to getting large portions of fries, the portions of fries here were rather small but that’s good for my waistline. The burger was $ 23. The other main dishes such as fish and lobster ranged anywhere from $ 40-$ 70, so its definitely a pricey place. Also, parking is $ 30 but if you have your meal there, they will validate parking for you.

Always fun to eat here, the seafood is fresh, service is excellent and the view is wonderful. We have a home nearby so always enjoy the Seafood Bar. The bar is so fun with an aquarium built in. The Breakers is a great hotel. We dine at their restaurants on a fairly regular basis and outside of one not so great night at their steak house, the service is always the best!

It was just incredibly fun to eat here; we decided to stop in to check out the hotel — once we saw the restaurant and the view from the windows we opted to take a seat… we enjoyed the gazpacho with fresh crab meat, the New England style clam chowder in a bread bowl and the lobster and crab sandwiches with bacon, we also had a sword fish sandwich which was perfect and finished with dessert. The view of the Atlantic Ocean was breathtaking and the feel at the Breakers in Palm Beach is one of luxury — it’s well worth the $$$. There also shops in the hotel that you can browse through after you dine & the grounds are lovely, take a walk!

Wonderful views, really cool bar fish tanks, the some good food. The portions here are small, and the prices are high for the quality of the food. It’s still a decent selection which is more casual than other options in the breakers. We enjoyed our meal and wine here.

One of the worst dining experiences of my life. The Breakers really needs to get it together. Gorgeous 5-star property serving food at the level of what you would expect to find at Denny’s. We went for lunch, got a great table at the window with a view of the ocean. Ready to splurge on some amazing food, we asked the waitress to recommend the best appetizer on the menu. She said the crab nachos really had that«wow» factor. Really? For $ 32, we got a mound of store-bought tortilla chips smothered in cheese grits(to ensure their soggy-ness?) with some store bought shredded cheddar cheese and from-a-jar jalapeños. There was some delicious crab on top, but what was underneath could have come from Hooters. Seriously disgusting. When we found the lost french fry swimming around inside, we had to send them back. We also ordered a $ 30 crab salad club. This was a hamburger bun with a smear of crab salad, a piece of cold Oscar Meyer bacon, and some lettuce, served with«truffle» french fries that tasted frozen, and heavily dusted with garlic powder. Really horrible. Then we had a Key Lime Pie that had about as much flavor as a cup of sugar. Really bizarre that people wait to get a table at this place. But then again, looking around the room, the clientele had most likely lost all of their tastebuds at this point anyway. Good luck with the next generation.

Great place for drinks. We had WONDERFUL cocktails here — the kind you just want to sip on for days. The bar is also really cool — with the fish swimming around. The bar is nestled in the restaurant so it has a nice quiet relaxed feel, which is great. Definitely check it out!

We went for an easy dinner at the bar. The sun had set but the aquarium bar was a great ambiance. We spotted a very reasonably priced prosecco and ordered the bottle right away. We decided on the crab dip to start. He ordered the burger and I ordered the lobster and crab sandwich. First, the prosecco was quite good and not too sweet. It complimented the creamy decedent crab dip. The yuca chips were perfection and the toast points were worth the carbs. The crab dip was silky, full of crab, and seasoned well. His burger was what he wanted. Juicy, cooked right, and hit the spot. My sandwich was great but the star of the show was the truffle fries. Oh those fries. Perfectly crispy with a great truffle flavor. I am a french fry girl and I am picky about them. These are the best I have ever had. I have thought about them regularly since having them. Just perfect. We ordered a separate glass of wine as we finished up our meals. My chardonnay was lovely and I am not a chardonnay drinker. He ordered a carmenere and cab mix. He loves both but wasn’t fully happy with his wine. He said it was good, just not what he expected or wanted. Yes, it is the breakers. It is pricey. However, a good lobster roll or seafood roll will run you in the low to mid 20s at other fine dinning areas even dives in the northeast. So the 30 dollar price tag I didn’t feel was overly crazy. It was overflowing with lobster and crab. Only a light aioli to hold it together. It was seasoned well and no filler. My sandwich was thick and I was unsure I could even finish it. Much better than a tiny lobster roll you get so many places in the northeast. This was double the meat and likely why it was double the price. They deliver. You won’t be disappointed with the quality or the quantity for your money. We had nice bartender, I believe his name was Joe. This was a great experience at The Breakers. I cannot wait to escape North Florida after football season and enjoy this same little outing again!

Superb bar and seafood restaurant overlooking the Atlantic Ocean at The Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach, FL. The Seafood Bar offers a casually elegant setting, reminiscent of Old Florida. Vaulted, open beam ceilings, whitewashed plantation shutters and elegant furnishings create the perfect atmosphere for dining or cocktails. The Seafood Bar is open for lunch and dinner, and this popular oceanfront restaurant and raw bar features fresh fish, clams, oysters, lobster, shrimp and delectable chowders. Mouthwatering tuna, mahi mahi, cobia, snapper and grouper are just a few of the 10 – 15 types of fish that arrive daily from the waters of South Florida to Hawaii. Our group of ten gathered here for lunch, and we ordered several different appetizers to share while we waited for everyone to straggle in. We had the house-special jumbo lump crab cakes made with summer corn, tomato and cole slaw rémoulade; calamari with a basil Aioli and tomato dipping sauce; and a plate of the coconut shrimp with a sweet chili-garden vegetable aioli and mango slaw. All three choices were very tasty, and a nice way to start the meal. After everyone arrived we placed our orders for lunch. I had the Day Boat Salad which had a grilled fillet of Corvina whitefish on top.(When I was a kid we used to call this fish ‘Croakers’, but I guess Corvina sounds more elegant.) The salad was made with mixed greens, hearts of palm, roasted golden beets, sliced Mandarin oranges, crumbled pecans, and drizzled with wildflower honey and a citrus vinaigrette. Highly recommended as a nice light lunch special. The menu had lots of fresh fish and seafood options which could be prepared blackened, broiled or pan-seared. They also had burgers, steaks, and pasta dishes. We returned to The Seafood Bar late in the day to have a beer, and to toast our successful presentations at the conference. The bar is absolutely spectacular if you happen to be at The Breakers. They actually have two L-shaped aquarium bar counters, and once you set your drink down you realize that underneath the glass tops are real aquariums with small fish and other marine life exploring the coral stones. Every time that I reached for my beer the fish would scurry away, but then come back to hide under the shadow of the bottle. I was captivated watching the fish, and almost didn’t notice that the bar looks out over the Atlantic Ocean. The atmosphere is very calm and relaxed, and everyone seemed to be enjoying their late-afternoon libations before making dinner plans. This is a must-see and enjoy stop at The Breakers.

I went here to take my parents to dinner, first time for all. Overall, great ambiance. Food just good enough, safe for all tastes. — I ordered West Coast oysters. They were out of those, so I ordered the East Coast, which were delicious(Just some shell pieces in them, but that happens). — I asked for some lime(I do this everywhere) to a passerby waitress. She took the time to get me a plate of limes right away, even though we weren’t her table. — I had the mahi mahi. The accompanying brocolini could have been cooked a bit longer. — They waiter was polite, but very young and not very experienced, and we waited a long time for him when the restaurant was not busy at all.
