Wonderful service and great food! Great salad bar also, price may be high but well worth it with such great food. Customer service is great and drinks are constantly filled. Definitely the place to come for some BBQ.

Great food nice surroundings. Always like to try new things here. Since I don’t eat beef or pork I’m hooked on their chicken. Although they ribs was good when I at them.

Food is ok. I have eaten at a couple sonny’s restaurant and they to have same inherent problem with service. Most common problem to get server to table within 5 minutes after sitting. I usually have to walk up to cashier in order to get check.

Found this place on Unilocal as we were traveling back from NC to FL. Glad we did.
As usual, the Unilocal website was a much appreciated resource while traveling (and when we are at home, too). This was worth the stop.
I can keep this review brief. The pulled pork sandwich was wonderful. Smoky, tender, juicy, flavorful with pork flavor. And the sauces were on the table so you could pick the style you wanted and put on just the right amount. And on garlic bread!
The staff was very attentive and accommodating… even filling up the enormous drink containers again «for the road».
Good food, good people and the prices were good, as well. Thank you Sonny’s. Thank you Unilocal

I’ve been to a Sonny’s twice as we travel. Both times, I’ve really enjoyed the food. I’ve discovered it’s all but impossible to find a really good pulled pork sandwich in So. FL. These were almost perfect. They were piled with tender, smoky pork without a single glob of fat. Instead of already being drowned in a sticky sweet sauce, there was a choice of four sauces on the table. All were very good. We really liked the option of having the sandwich served on garlic toast instead of a plain roll. The sandwiches were priced at less than half of what we’ve had to pay locally and were much better!
My only quibbles with the food were that the sandwich was on the cold side and the bread could use more garlic.
On the flip side, there were no quibbles about the service. It was fast and friendly. I asked for a cup of ice water to go, which was cheerfully granted. Not only that, the server brought my daughter another HUGE cup of sweet tea to take with her! We’ve never had that happen before!
I wish that this nice little regional chain would move further south. The BBQ places around Ft. Lauderdale could use some competition.

It’s awesome how much food and drink they give you. The all-​you-​can-​eat ribs and chicken is totally affordable and you can keep getting different sides each round. I love the sweet bbq sauce.
It does make me feel a little crappy afterwards though. I’ve also heard this from people who only eat small portions there as well, so it’s not just because I ate too many ribs ;)
All in all, it’s pretty good.

Very good Dry Rub ribs, love their sauces, great bbq for the money, i would say nobody would be left disappointed. I would definitely recommend to at least try and compare with others.

Ever leave a BBQ joint hungry? Me either… until tonight. Ordered the pulled chicken and held off on the paltry looking salad bar add-​on. Maybe that’s where I went wrong. If I’d preloaded on Bibb lettuce and ranch dressing maybe I’d have been alright. That said my chicken arrived and while tasty and moist enough, I’d estimate there was about 4 oz of meat or about 1 cup of shredded cooked. I knew I was in trouble when one of the sides was taking up about 60% of the plate in its own side dish container. It’s almost as if they were trying to hide how little was there by stacking plates. I’m not Egyptian but I know a plate pyramid when I see it. Sauces were pretty good but overall the experience was «Meh».

Great BBQ restaurant. Massive quantity of iced tea. Ribs and pulled pork and chicken dishes are delicious and always consistent. Corn on the cob tends to be soggy, but everything else delicious. Wait staff at this restaurant fantastic.

I have been eating at Sonny’s for at least thirty years now. What is it about this chain? This sonny’s has always been a favorite. The atmosphere is comfortable. The food consistent. A great place for family dining, affordable. It smells like heaven when you drive by, just calling you in to eat. Yum. Our favorite has always been the sliced pork. They have all you can eat, but the portions are enough that you may not want seconds. Sweet tea is a favorite and they offer pitchers of beer as well. A great place.

BBQ redemption!!! After my strange experience at Dales west in Fort Peirce, it was time to clean the pallette. Newly renovated. This BBQ chain in Palm Coast has been a consistent performer. Got a takeaway order of the large sliced pork sandwhich on garlic toast. and sweet tea with real lemon slices.
