Pride Piper Service & Repair

We have a Twin Eagles Grill that needed repair after 8 years of neglect. Leland and Tristan did a great job diagnosing the problems, ordering the parts, and repairing the grill to like new operation quickly. The only issue that came up was that Twin Eagles sent out a wrong part, but instead of having to wait for them to redeliver the part, Leland took the part from one of his in-​stock Twin Eagle grills to get us going. How many other BBQ places will do that! Great and professional experience. Highly recommended.

Beware, Beware, the amount of time you will need to cleanup after your BBQ tech departs will directly correspond to the amount of time he is at your home. I had a very dirty BBQ that I decided to have professionally cleaned by Pride Piper (Mr BBQ Cleaning) because it is too much of a mess to do it myself. I assumed that hiring a professional would be a much cleaner alternative & assumed they had some sort of van that they cleaned the parts in to contain the mess. I was told by the «tech» Eric that he cleans the BBQ in place & that he would keep the area clean with drop cloths. Well the BBQ came out clean & I am happy with that result but I am still cleaning my concrete, my caesar stone counter & the nearby landscape area where the tech Eric decided to rinse the BBQ parts. Did I mention that pieces of the wire brush wheel he uses were everywhere including stuck in my finger as I cleaned up? My fingers are still crossed that the ¼″ long wire brush pieces are not anywhere in the landscaping where my dog has found a new food supply.

We have used this company to repair a patio gas heater. Tristan was fantastic and a pleasure. In addition we had our 10 year old bbq cleaned by Eric. A very hard worker and also a pleasure. Will definitely call them for future work.

Leland is right — there is always a solution to a problem. Unfortunately, it might involve hiring someone other than Pride Piper, as they clearly are not experts in diagnosing fireplace problems. They misdiagnosed the problem, requested that we order unneeded parts, and refused to refund any of their fees. Therefore, I highly recommend that you seek alternate assistance for fireplace repairs. Can’t comment on barbeque fixes — that might be their area of expertise.

Beware, Beware, Beware!
I am absolutely furious at this company. I called them a month ago for a routine cleaning because i had special friends coming in from Atlanta and promised them a Valentines Day dinner.
They sent their cleaning technician Eric out to clean the bbque! About a half hour in to the cleaning he came to find me and tell me what a piece of «SHXXXT! my barbeque was. It is a Lynx barbeque with a retail value of about $ 7000! He had accidentally broken off one of the elements by trying to forcefully pull of one of the knobs while trying to clean it. He told me my barbeque was done as they could no longer order these parts. My heart sang he then called the office and found out the parts were indeed available.
Fine he had to order the part! I waited another 2 weeks and the tech Dion arrived today let me know that he couldn’ t possibly do the job because his colleague had broken a part that required a special tool! I again told him I had guests coming for Valentines Day weekend from Atlanta and I was to cook the dinner. He couldn’t give me any assurance that it would be taken care of before the weekend.
I then called the owner Leland that was so fllippant and arrogant I was even angrier. He said,» Well of course if we caused the problem we won’t charge you for the part. I then explained about guest coming this weekend and he said,” I don’t want to lie to you but we cannot have anyone before this weekend to fix this problem. Duh, if it is not my problem of course you should fix it! I again told him about my friends coming this weekend and he told me he already «bumped people today to accommodate you so it is impossible. :
I suggested any ideas he had none! and then I asked if could lend me a barbeque this weekend in order to resolve the issue of cooking this weekend. He said he would! We will see! I will update this review.
Just suffice it to say when I called and was upset this owner told me» Don’t be angry, be happy!” He has absolutely no idea of customer service and has ruined by ability to have the dinner I planned for my guests!
Do not ever use this company please listen! They do not care «just be happy»!

Dion from Pride Piper quickly diagnosed what was wrong with my Lennox gas fireplace and fixed it. Great communications, nice guy, reasonable prices. Will call on them again and highly recommend Pride Piper to others. Thanks!

Love Tristan! no job too big or small. he worked with us to get our grill and island completely right. professional, conscientious, personable and fair. Buy a grill and island from Leland and Tristan will install — you’ll be happy!

Leland’s comments tell the tale. Why not just say, «we made a mistake». These guys are awful… stay as far away as you can!

I came across this little shop via a web page with some reviews of grill and spa makers. It seemed like the first no-​holds-​barred honest opinion of someone who knew what he/​she was talking about. I ended up emailing the store for advice — and got a near immediate response from Mr Leland «no-​Bull» Berliner (my nickname for him :)). What I got from him is full candor, tons of knowledge, zero pressure, and respect (and a full-​on email dialog over the following two days). I ended up getting a grill from a local dealer, but will forever be grateful to Leland and Pride Piper. Professionalism and competence to the core. If you are local to Pride Piper, or don’t have a local dealer you trust and don’t mind shipping… Buy from Leland. Or just trust his advice. I am glad small businesses like this still exist to set the standard for others.
