Sherry Mesa The Salon

I am blown away! Lately my hair has been looking rather frumpy and well, less than presentable. Fortunately, I found this salon, and after reading multiple amazing reviews I made an appointment, thankfully, they were able to get me in at the end of the day. I had the pleasure of having Charly bring my hair back to life! She has such amazingly positive energy, she kept me engaged and excited about my hair. Needless to say she did an AMAZING job. I feel brand-​spanking-​new! I am super excited about my new hair! Thank you Charly!!!

This is the 3^rd salon I’ve been to since moving to the Coachella valley and thank god there’s no need to find a 4^th! The other two places I’ve been have been fine but Sherry Mesa salon and her stylists have the freshest talent I’ve ever seen. I’ve had Jen cut my hair three times and do a balayage twice! She is so amazing! I’ve seen what the other stylists can do from their pics on Facebook. Every single one of them has an amazing talent! Jen also does make-​up. I would highly, highly recommend this salon!

Wow! I must say I am very disappointed in the way I was treated at the salon today by the stylist «Charlie.» Last week I called to book an appointment with either Lauren or Brent as I am familiar with them. I explained to the woman over the phone (last week) that I needed a haircut and I would like to get my hair colored as well. So the woman over the phone specifically said that both will be unavailable as Brent is currently out of town and Carlyn (who does color) is booked. She suggested that if I’d like I can come in earlier to talk to Carlyn about my color but she will be book me for my haircut at 12:00. *Fast forward to today I arrive to the salon at 11:30 upon entering I could tell that the two women behind the front desk were upset by their unhappy faces. Personally I was as happy as I could possibly be as I always am when I go to this salon because it’s always been such a great experience in the past. The first thing Charlie states to me with an attitude is «there is no way I can do your hair today you are over half an hour late!» (Not a hello, how are you doing? Welcome) I am shocked because I have never been greeted so rudely ESPECIALLY from here. When I inform her that no, my appointment was booked for 12:00. She says that my app was for 10:45am in the computer. and she asks me «why no one called me to confirm my appointment that’s weird.» First of all, it is not the customers job to call you .the salon and ask for you to call you back to confirm your appointment. That is YOUR job. Second, please do not greet your customers by having an attitude towards them when they first walk thru the door! 1. This is obviously a miscommunication issue and whoever answered the phone that day made an error by telling me the incorrect app time and failed to confirm my appointment with me and that is not MY fault. If you treat your customers like they are a problem to you. Don’t expect them to want services from you. I wish the best but I never want to be treated this rudely again so I will not return until the value of customer service is emphasized.

I have been searching for a new location to get a wax and was referred to Michelle at Sherry Mesa. She was great and made me feel very comfortable. The salon staff was welcoming and the salon was well kept and very clean. I will definitely return and refer anyone looking for a wax to Michelle. Thank you!

Cut and color by husband and wife team Brent Basore and Carlyn Basore. Balayage method to lighten my hair looks natural and great cut by Brent. Very thorough consultations. Happy to find a good place while on vacation in the desert.

Let me start by saying that I had no appointment when I walked into Sherry Mesa, I had just been left high and dry by Al Michael’s. This guy made an appt with me then never to never show! Luckily, I walked into Sherry Mesa and they took pity on me.
Melissa was sweet enough to have pity on my hot mess hair and fitted me into her schedule. Mel and Sherry (the owner) made me feel very welcomed and made me look awesome! I will definitely be a life long customer!

Sherry Mesa, salon owner has been doing my hair for almost ten years… she is the best in the valley! Her salon is filled with upbeat stylists, an ambience that is relaxing and inviting. I love her products and her product knowledge and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. From the welcome I receive at the door by every member of the friendly staff to the top notch service i receive from Sherry everytime I visit… I feel like the most important person in the world… and leave looking ten years younger… can’t beat that! I am a loyal customer and love Sherry Mesa The Salon!!!

Charly did an amazing job on my ombré! I went to her after reading her reviews on how well she blends ombré which is a big deal for me! I wanted a sun kissed ombré and I got exactly what I requested! It looks so beautiful! I get a ton of compliments all the time it honesty looks a very natural. The salon is very easy to find, plenty of parking and the staff is extremely nice and attentive! Thank you Charly!

A friend recommended Mel for my pixie cut and now I won’t go to anywhere else! She did an amazing job and is so sweet and personable! Thanks Mel!

A girl i worked with told me and my mom about this salon, and by the way she talked about it I knew it wouldnt dissapoint. I went to get an ombré done, and coming from me, a hairdressers worst nightmare, I can honestly say I will be returning to this salon as long as I live in the Desert. Charly was my stylist and not only does she know what she’s doing she has an awesome personality to go with all the talent. It was never a dull moment with her, and its hard to find that kind of service these days. I deffinetly recceommed it to anybody looking for anything done to their hair.

I went in for my first ever facial with Amanda and also had a brow shaping. I was nervous because my skin is sensitive and my wedding was two days away. Any time I have my brows done I end up with bumps and redness. I explained this to her and she used a different type of wax. With the waxing on my brows and the extractions on my face, my face looked AMAZING!!! Not a single bump on my brows or redness on my face, my skin looked amazing. Amanda knows what she is doing I wish I lived in the desert to see her monthly!

This salon was recommended to me and I was told to go to Sherry so made an appointment with her. She advised she was running late and I said no problem, however, after 20 minutes, I asked her how much longer and she gave me attitude saying that she told me she was running late. Really? I told her that I had to get back to my office and she suggested her daughter. I decided to take a leap of faith and sat in her chair. During the cutting process, she excused herself and started talking to another stylist and continued the conversation while I sat in the chair. UGH@#
My haircut was so bad that I had to go to another shop to get it fixed a week later and she showed me how uneven my hair was. This to me was a Bait and Switch of the worst kind!

Looking for a new place, I turned to Unilocal and happened to find Charly recommended as the best in the Dez. The reviews were right on as Charly is a cool chick, gives a great haircut and all whilst rocking a sweet Flock of Seagulls do.
It’s a funky little place off of El Paseo that’s worth the trip.

I go to Sherry Mesa the Salon on the regular basis, Sherry is my stylist and she always does amazing job. Her staff is friendly and helpful. She so gifted, she helps me understand my own better and how to care for it, what products to use. I highly recommend this place!

This Salon is wonderful. I completely recommend it. Lauren Michelle was the adorable stylist that cut my hair. I knew I was in good hands the minute I saw her. From her outfit she was wearing to her sassy blonde hair, she spoke «Fashion».
I am so pleased with new style she gave me. She also gave me styling techniques that even I can do. Thanks Lauren!

This was one of those days when I decided last minute that I need a haircut, called Sherry Mesa 5 minutes before showing up (because they were close and had good Unilocal reviews) and they took me in no problem.
My stylist, Charly, greeted me right away and sat me down to examine the damages (I needed a haircut real bad). She was hands down the most knowledgeable, funny and detailed stylist I’ve ever had. My haircut style was what she calls the «soccer player» haircut, and she did an amazing job.
Men’s haircuts aren’t cheap here ($ 35) but as they say, you get what you pay for.

Wow… Sherry Mesa is easily the most well-​kept and smoothly operated salon I’ve ever come across. I’d been holding off on a haircut for months and after getting a recommendation for this place by one of the cardiologists I work with, I figured it was worth a try.
The staff here were able to accommodate me on short notice on a weekday afternoon and as soon as I arrived, I was offered a seat and choice of beverage while I waited. Jen Martens took care of me and I was thoroughly impressed with her skill and expertise as she explained what she thought would work best for me. While the price is certainly up there for a men’s haircut ($ 35), it does include a wash, awesome scalp treatment and dry that were all very welcome additions.
Looks like I’ll be set for the year!
