I have moved to Palm Springs from New York and needed to furnish my new mid-century modern home. I was lucky enough to wander in to Christopher Anthony’s store. After browsing for a while Chris the owner approached me and offered his assistance on items I was looking at. Not only did I receive info on the items I was looking at but I got a better understanding of the era of Mid-century. I ended up purchasing a few items. When I was explaining my color palette he suggested a few pieces of furniture that he would have reupholstered to match my décor. Needless to say I ended up purchasing dining room chairs and a table that he had re-plated in a antique brass to complement the chairs. I can’t say enough about service I received and his follow up was amazing. He has exceptional taste!

Wonderful things in this store, but the ATTITUDE from the employees here! Geez! My partner and I have been in this store on three separate occasions, and each time, the employees either ignore us or seem entirely disinterested in engaging us and making us feel welcome. (DON’T ignore a gay couple with money in Palm Springs!) And on all three visits, we’ve asked a question or two about an item and the employee sitting at the computer acts like we are completely bothering him. Many stores in Palm Springs have congenial, warm employees, and those places are far more likely to get our business.
