Coral Sands Inn

We were attending an event at an adjoining property, «Casa Redonda» and booked 2 evenings at this fabulous little vintage gem. We brought our dog and were warmly greeted by the proprietress Ruby. Our «Poodle room «made us smile every time we entered and we enjoyed the very picturesque grounds. Ruby is wonderful and we felt at home the entire weekend. Very clean… well maintained and colorful! We can’t wait to return!

I just spent a wonderful weekend at the Coral Sands Inn!
My group of girlfriends has been itching to plan an all girls getaway where we can swim, drink, eat, tan and just relax so we found the Coral Sands Inn through a co-​worker and immediately knew that this place would be the perfect place.
We rented the entire 6 room hotel for the weekend and split the cost between 12 ladies. Totally affordable!
All of the rooms were kitch perfection with every single corner of each room being decorated with such care for detail. The beds were firm and comfortable and the rooms with kitchens were fully stocked with everything we needed to make margaritas and cook a few meals. All rooms had a swamp cooler too. I thought it might be a little warm, but even in late July, it kept the rooms pretty cool.
We loved having a gorgeous, big pool to swim in and it almost felt like we were at someone’s home. We did not have to feel exposed and the pool area gave us tons of privacy.
Ruby herself was a dream. She was kind, attentive but gave us space and just let us have an amazing time. Her dogs were adorable too!
I don’d think that I would change anything about this place. We are already dreaming about coming back next year.

This place far exceeded my expectations! The hotel is a Googie paradise and the rooms are kitschy and beautiful. Ruby was very sweet and accommodating to me and my mom. We will definitely be back! I now count this as one of my favorite spots in Palm Springs and can’t wait to stay in the other rooms. (We stayed in the Liberace suite, which was fabulous!)

Believe what you read in the other reviews. This exceeded my expectations. Photos don’t do it justice. This is the most relaxing and cool hotel I’ve been to in a long time. The Yippee-​ki-​yo room has a full kitchen with vintage appliances (a modern fridge) and everything you need to cook and drink.

This is perhaps the greatest place on earth. The pink walls and the kitschy décor make every corner photo ready. Ruby herself is so sweet and accommodating. My friends and I go every year and I look forward to eventually staying in EVERY ROOM!

I highly recommend Ruby Montana’s Coral Sands Inn! First of all, the décor is original, super fun and tasteful. The whole place feels very warm and inviting. I felt right at home here. Except my home doesn’t have a pool. The pool here is a dream! Lots of lounges and some tables/​chairs too, all with plenty of space to move around.
I stayed in the Roy Rogers & Dale Evans Suite. It was very much like my own little house. It had a full kitchen with coffee maker, fridge, stove, a bar with seats, you name it. The main room had a king bed, lamps, a table by the window with comfy chairs perfect for working on my laptop. When I turned the tv on the Turner Classics channel was on, playing b&w movies — a perfect touch! There was also a seated, mirrored make-​up area by the closet outside of the bathroom — which also had a bath tub. There wasn’t a thing I needed that the room didn’t have.
A huge plus: I was allowed to bring my dog, Zoey, who LOVED Ruby and her own dogs. Zoey is pretty picky about her environment and she seemed to like the coral sands just as much if not better than home! Also, Ruby is just really, really cool. She’s friendly and really fun to talk to but gives you plenty of space. It’s now my go-​to place to stay in Palm Springs! Oh, and I left my favorite t-​shirt behind. Ruby found it in the room so I sent her a fedex label and she happily shipped it back to me, that very same day!
