Food was tasty, but waitress forgot to put in half the order. Partial order was delivered by someone else. Finally cornered busboy and told him issue, as waitress came nowhere near us. The second half showed up 20 minutes later after my husband was done eating. Finally waitress leaned in later and offered a weak«Sorry.». There wasn’t compensation for their mistake. It was her lack of interest, as we already waited 13 minutes. After we seated for her to show up. It was not that busy, And I had to walk to bar to ask for a server. A host had shown us to an almost empty room. When we asked to sit at a lower table, we were told, no as that table was reserved, but no reserve sign was on it. People across the room in the upper tables were asked to move to a different table to, as they were told that the table they were seated at was also reserved, but no sign was on it either. It was a very disappointing experience.

Love Sunday Tea dance always a good time. only complaint is they need to update the music maybe a 50⁄50 mix as music is always the same 70s 80s mix other than that great place to spend Sunday downtown.

DONOT go here. I went on yesterday and was GROPED by one of the owners who does not know me. I’m from TX and was videotaping the live band. Owner comes up behind me and gropes my buttocks(2 hands full) then squeezes and makes oink oink noise, says Im sorry and leaves somewhere. When he returns I approach him and tell him That was inappropriate and I was offended. That’s a form of sexual harassment. He replies looks like I was having fun, I’m so beautiful then tries to hug me while staying Awww, B @$! H it wasn’t like that. EXCUSEME? Then asks what do you want. After a discussion on his inappropriateness he states he will comp our meal and wanders off somewhere. Moments, later comes to my table and tell me, YOUKNOWWHAT? JUSTLEAVE. I will never patronize this establishment. I was here foe an women’s empowerment conference with YWCAUSA. This owner devalues women and has NORESPECT at all. If I could give less than one star I would. SIgned: Mrs. Corpus Christi, TX

Tonight the proprietor of this establishment got drunk and groped my colleague. He said«she looked beautiful» and he couldn’t control himself. When we asked him to comp the meal he initially agreed, then said that we should leave because he didn’t want to comp four people. We were then advised by the proprietor’s friend that since he was gay and had no interest in women we should have tolerated the rude and physically violating behavior. An insult to women and gay men everywhere as far as I am concerned. The staff was embarrassed, but what to do. We came for the music and got more than we bargained for.

Went to Oscar’s last night for some dinner and live music. Nothing beats good, live rock & roll and Dude Jones delivered! They were great and the crowd was having a blast! Dinner was also exceptional. The food and cocktails were delicious. My server Chris was very friendly and attentive. I’m really looking forward to my next visit to Oscar’s.

Potatoes undercooked and raw tasting in the corned beef hash, ordered sourdough toast got white, got the hot sauce I asked for after I was 80% done eating. Room for improvement.

This review is strictly for the CARNIVALCABARET show! It was AMAZING. It was such a highly entertaining female impersonator show. All the ladies looked gorgeous, performed in such a captivating way, and the MC was HILARIOUS. I’d highly recommend this show to anyone in town looking for a show. Now, the food on the other hand was not that good. So I’d recommend grabbing something to eat beforehand, and enjoying the champagne here at Oscar’s.

Oscar’s is a fun place ot spend a few hours of time with friends… Biggest complaint? They don’t seem to take credit cards for the bar for the Sunday afternoon dance… Or at least not all the time? Was there for a special event TOYDRIVE recently and was not able to get a drink without cash. That’s just silly in this day and age of people not carrying a lot of cash… The vibe and the crowd was having a blast on the patio… The venue may not be 100% the best for a crowded dance, but it’s all good. Go and have fun!!!

Choosing to write this review while still at the restaurant. While the hostess was welcoming, the same can’t be said about the deplorable server. Upon putting in my order, I had to repeat myself 4 times for the lady, who consistently failed to competently hear what I wanted for brunch. Beware, the restaurant does not do substitutions, and the server failed to make any accommodations with the order, including her slipshod attitude and approach. Waters took 12 minutes to arrive; a deliverable that should make its way to the table within the first 2 – 3 minutes. All in all, my experience with the unbecoming server and the eatery she represents was horrific. Never coming back again.

Ladies and Gentleman hold onto your seats because THESHOW of all shows has hit the stage in Carnaval Cabaret hosted by non other than the gorgeous, the sexy, the hilariously funny and the sensational… James«Gypsy» Haake! She is joined by an extremely talented, highly choreographed and very professional guest performances and special appearances by top hit names Dolly Parton, Dionne Warwick, Reba McIntire, Madonna, Whitney Houston, and others! It was magical, amazing, and plainly put THE best performances ever!!! If you want to see a great show, you have guests in town, celebrating a birthday, wedding party, or just a night on the town go see this show!!!(Gypsy we love you baby doll, muah!!)

We come to Oscar’s every time we are in Palm Springs, the food is great and the service is usually pretty good, but today MAJOR fail! We sat at the bar to eat, where we usually do. The waitstaff was busy, but had it under control. The bartender absolutely SUCKED!!! We watched him clean up from previous guests at the bar while not acknowledging the new people in the space, he moved at one constant very slow speed while everyone around him is moving. The waitstaff was constantly behind the bar to make their own drinks, while he washed glasses. To top it off, the food order was wrong. I was a waiter and a bartender for many years and can tell the difference between being busy and being ill equipped to handle his own responsibilities. This guy is lost. Management either needs to spend some solid time developing him, or get rid of him. He’s slow, inaccurate, and does not demonstrate any intuitive nature regarding customers or serving them. We watched two parties, one group of five the other of six just give up waiting for him and leave. The bar is the heartbeat of the entire restaurant. Drinks go to the bar and to the tables, drinks have a much higher profit margin than food does, and the bar has to run flawlessly. Because the bar involves all of the customers, I don’t know that I can recommend coming to Oscars. I would definitely stay away from the bar when the bartender with the brown hair and the 80’s mustache is there. You will end up frustrated during your visit, guaranteed. That’s no way to enjoy drinks or a meal.

Great space. Great location. We loved the outdoor entertainment and bottomless mimosas. Food options are limited for vegans. I skipped food, due to that reason, so can only review atmosphere.

We have been going to Oscar’s since they have been opened. The owners are extremely friendly with customers, as well as all the employees. The cook is very creative and prepares all the dishes with his/her soul that very few others can do. This place is dogs amiable. Your doggie gets a bowl with water and special dog food. Tonight we had Roasted Beets Salat with yummy goat cheese covered with nuts and Prime Rib with mash potatoes. The waitress(Nancy) and the food server do an excellent job. It is very clean facility. We plan to come back soon. Thank you all!

Excellent food — my dining partner had the most beautiful looking(and tasting) kale salad, and I had a French dip that was served on really tasty focaccia bread instead of the tired old hoagie roll everyone else does. The drinks were excellent, and the waitress was a hoot. She was new and unfamiliar with the menu, but she made up for it with enthusiasm and customer service. I’d heard Oscar’s was some sort of new gay place, but there wasn’t a homo in sight. I’m not sure what demographic Oscar’s is trying for, but Pinocchio’s across the street was packed right up until it closed at 2pm, and Oscar’s had maybe six patrons — all middle-aged straight tourists. I’d definitely go again for the food, but if you want the gay scene, this isn’t it.

Came here for New Years Eve dinner and show. Dont know where to start, service was virtually non existent at the bar area. After we ordered drinks it literally took 20 minutes to get our drinks. I ordered a martini straight up with a twist and it came in a tall glass full of ice and a straw? WTF? and friends drinks didnt come out yet. After another 5 minutes of waiting all of a sudden out comes the martini I ordered and the previous drink was just taken away from the table. Still no drinks for my friends, then finally they came out and we had to rush across the way to catch dinner. So sitting at the table for another 20 minutes or so and all the other tables around us are getting drink and food orders in and food out to their table, eventually had to hunt down someone on the wait staff to find out who our server is and the table in front of us was also waiting and a bit upset since they were ignored also. So with the horrible service set aside and making excuses about being understaffed, if so, please rethink your scheduling. New Years Eve party, sold out, if your employees dont want to work on one of the best tipping days of the year, time to look for a new job. Food: Quality, I had the lobster bisque, which I really enjoyed and the Lamb ordered medium. Lamb came out well done and the ends of the chops were cut off? Other friend ordered the same thing and his were intact. This is where everything started to go downhill again. Food timing… TOTALCHAOS!!! Unorganized, confused, stressed, etc, the absolute worst timing I have ever experienced in my life! Was not even done with my soup and entrée came out, then as we are eating our entrees, one of the desserts comes out and appetizers still on the table? We all looked at each other with a look of confusion. Pushed that off to the side to finish the main course. So as we are watching the show, two of us still did not get our dessert and already got our champaign for a new years toast. Finally our desserts came out about 20 minutes after we finished our entrees and other friends dessert was already eaten and long gone. Thankfully all three of us are calm people and didnt complain about anything since we could obviously tell there was no type of organization at all and focused our attention on the entertainment. So overall, 2 stars because the food was good and 0 if not less because of all the confusion, timing, forgetfulness, understaffed, etc. After reading a lot of the other reviews I might try dinner or lunch on a slower day and see if I have a better experience. Really let down on my first experience, tho. Will give them a second shot and if that is another failure, I can see this location becoming vacant again.

10÷12÷14 Oscar’s is a new favorite when I’m in town. The proprietor of our resort suggested that we stop by for their tea dance and boy wasn’t it wonderful! Oscar’s has a very nice patio with plenty of tables but I think they need more umbrellas. It’s a fun place to be where you can strike up new acquaintances and meet up with friends for drinks. Good drinks at fair prices. The food is your usual bar food but I really recommend the fish tacos and the sliders. Tea dance on Sunday features a DJ playing music from 70s and 80s. A lot of locals come here so the tables up fill up quick for the event. Plenty of parking on the street and in their designated lot.
