Drove out of my way after calling to make sure they had the beer I wanted. They lied on the phone and then seemed to not understand why I would not just get another beer when I arrived and found they didn’t even have the brewery I wanted, much less the beer I asked about.

One of the cooler liquor stops in P. S. mainly because they sell natural items and they carry almost all of the Jones Soda flavors

Actually, the woman was really nice to me. It’s a liquor store. Of course everything is going to be overpriced. I knew what I was getting myself into. It was my fault for not packing toothpaste, sunblock or beer in my luggage. This place is good to me, if you’re good to it!

Tina, [I’m posting here because I’m stumped. You emailed and asked me to review my review based on «one or two» complants. You suggested I reply, yet the address you used is of the ‘no reply’ type, so:] Thanks for taking the time to write me about my review for Palm Springs Liquor. If you’ve read any other reviews of mine, you will know that I am far to busy to make up random negative or positive reviews without actually experiencing a business firsthand. About my review, your state that«one or more» complaints was made. Really? One complaint triggers a review being reviewed? Now, as to my compliance with Unilocal’s guidelines: Inappropriate content: Colorful language and imagery is fine, but there’s no need for threats, harassment, lewdness, hate speech, and other displays of bigotry. Promotional content: Unless you’re using your Business Owners Account to add content to your business’s profile page, we generally frown upon promotional content. Let’s keep the site useful for consumers and not overrun with commercial noise from every user. Find the right forum: Please make sure your contributions are relevant and appropriate to the forum. For example, reviews aren’t the place for random rants about a business’s employment practices, political ideologies, or other matters that don’t address the core of the consumer experience. Some things are better addressed in other forums. Privacy: Don’t publicize other people’s private information. While some businesses may be identified by the people behind them(e.g., real estate agents, doctors, etc.), you should generally avoid posting other people’s full names, personal phone numbers and email addresses — and avoid uploading close-ups of other people without their permission. Intellectual property: Don’t swipe content from other sites or users. You’re a smart cookie, so write your own reviews and take your own photos, please! I think my review of Palm Springs Liquor fits neatly within. Language and imagery? Check. I’ve provided plenty. Promotional content? Check, I’ve not tooted my own horn. Right forum? Check. Assuming that business owners read Unilocal to see how they might improve their business practices and build a loyal customer base, and that other consumers should know about the business practices before entering the business. Privacy? Check. No names were named. Intellectual property: Check. All thoughts, recommendations, and statements are my own. If you have to send my review to ‘filtered’ then so be it. My review is factual and accurate to the best of my ability to determine. My review is based not only on personal interaction with the management and staff at Palm Springs Liquors, but also observation of other transactions occurring during my time there. I will re-visit the business later today to see what, if anything, has changed. True, my writing style is not dry, ‘just the facts, nothing but the facts, ma’am’. I could have written it in passive voice: The shopkeeper has poor English skills but is still able to convey his disdain for customers and since most of the store’s items are not price tagged and there are few shelf tags you will have to bring items to the counter one-by-one for a pricecheck and the shopkeeper will become increasingly agitated if you say something costs too much. When you make your final selections the shopkeeper will ring your order to obtain a total then if you pay with cash he will push the«no sale» button on the register, thus creating no written record or receipt for the transaction and making the calculation of taxes less accurate and precluding any customer returns. Tina, I love Unilocal and use it ALLTHETIME, especially now that it is on my iphone. Don’t sour the experience for me, please. If Palm Springs Liquor was not as I described, then there would be other reviews on Unilocal saying so, and then, boy, would I look foolish. That’s how Unilocal is intended to work, yes? Peer-to peer, plus a few outliers that become obvious as more reviews are aggregated. Jim
