I came here with my family for Father’s Day Brunch. It was only $ 20 a person for a 3 course meal and the food was actually really good. I got calamari as my appetizer, steak and eggs as my entrée and tiramisu as my dessert. The calamari was delicious and crispy, the steak was tender and had really great flavor and the tiramisu is probably the best I ever had. Our brunch came with bottomless mimosas and our server Lacy was very consistent with filling up our glasses. I would definitely recommend this restaurant! The food is very good, the prices are great, and the service is awesome!

«Sergio to the rescue» The evening began with a rough start. The reservation I made was for Sunday night but it was now Saturday when we finally realized the error. As we neared the restaurant my girl friend called the restaurant to explained the problem and was assured that they would be able to seat us but could not guarantee the patio. When we arrived there was the monumental decision to be made, whether to sit inside or outside on the patio. The restaurant was quite crowded and we decided to wait the additional thirty five minutes in order to sit on the patio. We then headed off to the bar. After ordering our drinks we soon discovered that their recipe for a lemon drop martini was not what my girl friend had requested and so that drink was sent back. To make a long story short, when it came time to pay the check I discovered that they had charged for both drinks. That took about fifteen minutes just to get that check and after I sent the check back to be adjusted, I waited and waited but the waitress never came back. It was then that I was told that the credit card was missing and despite all efforts they could not find it. The manager, Kellen, tried to explain their efforts but I was to upset to listen. It was now getting late and though I was still upset, we took a seat outside close to the main patio. That is when the waiter, Sergio came over, and from then on it was all up hill. His caring and drink offer calmed the entire situation to a happy level. He was amazing. I ordered egg plant Parmesan. It is one of my favorites and it was excellent. The texture, the taste, along with the pasta was perfect. My girlfriend ordered the Rack of Lamb. She stated that it was wonderful, tender, tasty and done to perfection. The evening was definitely looking up and Sergio placed the cherry on top of the evening by telling us that the meal was on the house. Now it doesn’t get any better than that for a restaurant to own up to a mistake and correct it with magnificent service and great food. The manager came over before we left and explained that they would do everything to locate the card but it was best that I cancel it in the morning. He also stated that if anyone used the missing card the restaurant would make good. A first class operation and we will certainly recommend the restaurant to everyone. Sergio is likely one of best waiters we have ever encountered and look forward to returning. Hopefully, on our next visit we will have the time and energy to enjoy their music and dancing. I was here in PS for the weekend w my friends to celebrate my bday. We came for lunch on a Sat. It was not busy at all. I was a little weary bc of the Unilocal reviews but the ambiance is beautiful. They have booths w comfy pillows. We all got addicted to their olive tapenade– it was delicious. I ordered the carbonera which was perfect. The waiter was very attentive and quick to fill our glasses. I had a great bday lunch here

Excellent food and cocktails, and the tiramisu is divine. The complimentary almond liqueur and biscotti were also lovely. However, the tone deaf Pharrell cover band made me feel like I was on a groupon-funded cruise ship for seniors.
My husband and I went here for dinner and from the moment we walked in we were impressed. We were able to sit outside near the water fountain and the ambience was romantic and perfect. The staff was great and the food was excellent. We would recommend Sammy G’s and we would definitely go back.

This place is GREAT! The food is terrific and the service is too. Ulises was our server and he was on point. Sold me on one of the specials and made sure my wife and I were happy with everything. He even promoted the brunch they have on Sunday. We came for our anniversary and will be back again soon. Good Job!

Order the chicken carbonara. It is the most tasty dish I ever had. My wife had the steak Diane and it was equally as wonderful. So I would recommend Sammy G to anyone.

So being here in February we decided to take some friends from Chicago to try it again. We sat outside on there patio. We sat for a bit and were finally greeted by our server he asked us if we wanted to open the wine we brought. I said we will have cocktails first. He proceeded to talk about how his chef is actually on the line tonight because someone called in sick?(Which if it is a quality restaurant it should run as good or better in my opinion) he then tells us about there soup tonight and there entrée special which is rabbit which the chef decided to do because he was there tonight. He proceeded to over explain the dish in a hap hazard fashion He proceeded to take our order not writing anything down which is a major red flag in my opinion I mean there are 6 of us. So cocktails come and 2 of the six are completely incorrect suppose to be grey goose lemonade cranberry they come vodka grapefruit? And the Bombay tonic, tonic flat not really the servers fault so il give that to him. So salads come Mediterranean salad big pieces of unripe tomatoes and some lettuce and a bland dressing so much different then last time. Others had Caesar and they said that it was ok. Entrees come I got a pizza which was ok a little lacking in the crust Jim and Melinda have sausage and peppers sauce lacking I’m told. Bill n Joannie both get veal Marsala which turns out it was chicken. So that had to go back to the kitchen to be remade And doesn’t come out until everyone is finished with there meal. No manager came to the table or was it even taken off the bill. Instead the server tells me he took off the corkage which really didn’t work because both Bill and Joannie don’t drink wine. All in all no management presence and a server if he would write things down could of avoided a miserable dinning experience

Stopped in on a Friday night. It was busy but we got a table easily. Full of tourists and possibly some locals. We shared a caprese salad to start. It was ok, but the tomatoes were pretty flavorless. It would have benefitted from some of the olive tapenade they served with the bread to start. I had the eggplant parm and was disappointed it was overly salted and I couldn’t finish it. My sister had the mushroom ravioli and that was great. My friend has the pomodoro ravioli and that was ok. Italian can be soooo good with the right seasonings and fresh ingredients, so I was surprised at these dishes at the lack of flavor. There was a good wine selection and the Pinot noir and Malbec we had were both good. There was very attentive service and they brought us some biscotti and sweet amaretto on the house when we closed out which was a nice touch. When we left, there was live music and a big party crowd gathering around the bar. That’s not my scene but it looked like a lot of fun if you wanted to have a fun night. While I wouldn’t go back for the eggplant parm with so many other choices, it would be fine if you needed a bite to eat and couldn’t get a table anywhere else on Friday night. Maybe try pizza or pasta.

Last night(3÷20÷16) was the first time we tried this restaurant. I think we may have arrived at an unfortunate time for them. It was 6:45pm on a Sunday evening and it was busy enough for us to have to wait for about twenty minutes for a table. We went to the bar and enjoyed a drink each and were served by two lovely women. There was live music in the bar at that time, which was nice as well. When we were taken to our table, things didn’t go as smoothly. My girlfriend and I decided on what we wanted for dinner quickly and efficiently, to our server’s delight. We both ordered soup, and she had the baked lasagna while I had the Penne Alfredo with chicken and shrimp. I had a rum and Coke, while my lady ordered a regular Coke. Our repeated our order to us for accuracy, and then he went off about his business. This is where the problems started. As other tables received bread, we sat for twenty minutes without any bread, and neither the server, nor the bus-people ever came back to check on us. Our water was quickly down and not replenished, and we were starving. Finally, just before our food came, our server came over and told us that we’d be getting our meals soon. I asked him if we could get bread, and he said, «More bread for you?» I told him that we hadn’t had any yet, and that my girlfriend would also like her Coke refilled, and then he scuttled off again and was not seen for another ten minutes. A pleasant«water-girl»(sorry, I don’t know what else to call her) came over and also finally refilled our glasses with ice water. Because it had been about ten minutes since we asked for the Coke refill, I simply asked the water-girl to get it for us. She came back with it shortly. The server brought our meals to us and pretty quickly came back, I’d say, within about a minute, and asked us, «Is everything as you expected?» We said, «Yes.» However, I had just moments before started into my Penne Alfredo, beginning with the shrimp, and had not yet gotten very far into the meal. I assumed the my chicken was somewhere down in the penne. But it wasn’t. They had forgotten the chicken. Oh well. I told the server when he came around again(by which time I had literally finished my meal… there was nothing left on my plate) and I told him that they had missed the chicken. I told him it was okay, but just not to charge me for the chicken(obviously). I knew that there had been some miscommunication between the server and the kitchen because, as I stated earlier here, our waiter had read back our order to us correctly before putting the order in. The manager got wind of all of this and came over to our table and apologized, saying that they had been short one person on the line in the kitchen. He was very nice and said that he wouldn’t charge me for the chicken nor the shrimp add-on’s to my Penne Alfredo. He also offered us desert on the house, which I declined. I want to make it clear here that the quality of our food last night was very good. It was just the three errors in their service(four if I count the somewhat extended wait time for meal arrival and for server check-in’s) that took away from our experience there. Had the server and kitchen-related aspect of our meals been up to par, then I would give this restaurant a higher rating, because, as I said, the food was very good once we received it. We were also given a small glass of amaretto after the meal, which is a nice thing this restaurant seems to do for it’s patrons. I don’t believe it was just us who received them. I think that our experience this night was probably more towards an anomaly on the spectrum of patron visits and therefore most people will probably have a better one than we had. However, I have to rate the restaurant on the merits of our service and meal that night.

Avoid this restaurant at all costs! My last experience was truly awful! The minute our table was seated, our waiter started rushing us to place an order. Said they were slammed! The food arrived literally two seconds after we ordered. Then after someone was close to finishing a dish a wait staff was literally standing by to pounce on clearing the plate. We even ordered dessert for three of the five of us and before dessert was done the bill was delivered. Then the waiter told us we would have to move to another table. I immediately asked for the manager. He came over and basically said nothing. It was as if we, as the customer, had done something wrong. He offered no apology, no explanation for the rude treatment! I even let him know that we were Palm Springs residents and we would never be back. Apparently this restaurant doesn’t care if you come or go! Avoid this pit! There are much better choices in Palm Springs!

I had bookmarked this restaurant and had been wanting to come here forever, so while we were at the street fair Thursday night, we wandered in through the patio area. Although we did not have reservations, we were immediately seated and a water bowl was brought for our dog. We ordered the wedding soup as an appetizer — so flavorful, the Cioppino, and the chicken carbonara, minus the pasta with extra vegetables. The soup was phenomenal, the chicken good and the Cioppino was a bit bland. Our waiter was attentive, we were served quickly. Next time we will dine inside. The bar area was happening with live music and lots of people dancing. Great find tucked back from the street with a good vibe & food. Very friendly hostesses — they lured us in!

3.8 stars. AMBIANCE: 5STARS You really can’t beat the ambiance simply because they have multiple choices. You may choose to eat in the patio(which is really the area in between multiple shops, but nice nonetheless on a warm night, especially if you’re near the fountain) or the front part of the restaurant overlooking the bustling boulevard and cityscape(great location) or the more private, slightly more elegant dining room in the back, and, our favorite: the huge busy bar area, which has live entertainment and a dance floor. HAPPYHOUR: 5STARS(but…) Cheap drinks, and some cool yet small appetizers, like the yummy but not spicy at all $ 7 Spicy Meatball Slider, and the $ 6 caesar salad. Maddeningly, they were slow to offer me another new drink during happy hour, but once it was 8:01 I had three guys ask me. FOOD: 4STARS The well-cooked spaghetti with vodka rose sauce was alright, and I liked the added chicken. The wife’s whole wheat pasta primavera was a little dry but we both liked it. We never got our bread to start. SERVICE: 3STARS Fine, especially considering how busy they are. With reservations, we got seated right away. DRINKS: 2STARS After happy hour, I ordered a Tito’s and cranberry. It tasted like water. Either the vodka was watered down, or they ran out of cranberry and topped it with water, I’m not sure, but it’s a reason for me not to return.

I’ve waited more than a week to write this to know what I want to say. The wait staff were awesome, my issue lies with the kitchen staff. Our waitress told us shoe string cut fries with the steak«Diane». What arrived to the table were fries visually similar to McDonald’s which was very disappointing for a $ 32 entrée. I did enjoy my Prawns in penne with a wine sauce. The dining experience was enjoyable otherwise. Food was cooked properly. This sounds very rude to say, but, the only reason I’m rating 4 is for the wait staff.

This was way nicer than I expected. It’s a little, no, a lot«touristy». But isn’t that what you want when visiting Palm Springs? The outdoor patio is HUGE with a tropical setting, Palm Trees and white lights. On a nice evening, this is quite the place. Inside, it’s also much nicer than I expected, it’s actually tastefully done. The menu is expansive, and has just about everything traditional Italian. I opted for the Fettuccine Alfredo($ 14) with Chicken($ 4) and Broccoli($ 1). Slightly my own concoction and a little pricey, but excellent flavor, sauce, and the chicken was super tender. This was executed perfect despite the slightly overcooked pasta(4.0 stars). Service was nice and professional, but a little forgetful. Would I go again? I mean, just tell me when! Pizza looked awesome and would certainly be on my agenda. — In the adjacent bar, they have live music. A very small stage fits no more than 3 musicians. On a Thursday night recently, The Evaro Brothers performed and they were great! Apparently, they play Thursday to Saturday nights. Rock me Amadeus!
