This place rocks. It is now called Castaneda’s. The tacos are nice and crispy, and full of meat, lettace and cheese. Diffently have to have the carne asada fries and the tortas, they are both my favorites. Well worth your money and you get a lot.

Man things have changed. The singe sed Castaneda’s Good food, good drinks, great chips & salsa And the best service with happiness all around. Fat bellies and more to go home for later. The patio seating was clean and welcoming with over the top service even on the patio. A world of difference between the last visit and now. So we’ll be visiting again…

I usually come here after work and tonight there was a worker who was rude… So I got my food but yet to receive hot sauce usually they ask before handing you your food. So I received my food n then waited patiently for about 3 – 5 minutes and then the worker walked back to the drive thru replied, «what do you want,» in a rude tone of voice… I can go to the one on highway 111 because they always give me good customer service, but it was late and the on on Ramon Rd is a whole lot closer to my house… This guy was rude like I said… I wasn’t able to get a photo of him or his name… But I rather recommend the one on highway 111 it has better customer service than this one…

Our favorite!!! They are always very nice and friendly. The food is great. And they give you lots of salas!!! We love this place!!! We usually stick to the same order of shredded beef tacos with sour cream and a carne asada burrito. But we just discovered the el pastor burrito!!! OMGAMAZING! ANDTHEIROPEN24HOURS!

It’s good, but definitely doesn’t have that Mexican taste. Prefer Taco Bell over this.

Drive thru review. I stop by here every now and then just like today. Grab a Burrito on my to work. And as usual. No one here speaks on word of English. I mean c’mon…its a drive through… ENGLISH! I have to explain 5 times what and how I want it. Still wrong. Would not recommend.

This is a good mexican food place, I like the food and the price is right, try the fish tacos, chicken tacos, enchiladas, and the rice+beans.

HUGE portions, friendly service, great food. Love this place! My new FAVORITE place. But fyi the potatoes in the breakfast dishes are French fries — delicious but not the healthiest ;)

Is there an imaginary bubble that isolates San Diego and refuses to let quality Mexican food escape? I mean, I figured that Palm Springs was not too far from SD, so how much different could it be? The answer is: much, much different. The service at the cash register started the lackluster experience while the guy facilitating the orders chatted it up in Spanish with his buddies for a few minutes before acknowledging my presence. Yeah, he saw me, but could clearly care less giving me a little extra time to make my big dining decision. I narrowed it down to an order of two beef tacos or a carne asada quesadilla, ultimately settling for the latter. Seeing that it would be at least another five minutes before my food would be ready, I headed to the salsa bar. It was out of just about everything, which is a bummer because all the descriptions on the bar sounded great. A few cups full of red sauce was all that was left, so a few cups of red sauce was all I got. The soda machine was also out of ice and the lids for the cups didn’t fit a medium sized drink, large only. The quesadilla ended up being incredibly average and I was done after eating half of it. I was still hungry but it just lacked the big flavors that would typically keep me digging in for more and I politely wrapped up the remainder to go — they never saw the light of day but rather the bottom of a trash can.

Went here after work to get something to eat. Went through the drive thru and ordered carné asada fries. After getting over the shock of them being $ 10 I drove home. When I got home and started eating the fries were so old they had turned black and were beyond soggy. I went back because they weren’t even edible. The girl gave me attitude and gave me a hard time about some of them being eaten(and when I say some I mean maybe three bites) and replaced it with a burrito worth $ 4. So I lost $ 6 and a bunch of my time. What a disappointment.

All the meat burritos are $ 6.85 plus tax for the burrito by itself. What happened to $ 4.50 for carne asada or chicken burrito? It was tasty and normal size, but for the price there is better out there.

The food is good; HOWEVER, the customer service is poor and terrible. I would highly recommend the other Santana’s by Palm Canyon.

The other locations are great but I frequently have issues with their orders. Picking up from the drive through they have forgotten a burrito, our drinks and a quesadilla each a different time I went. This morning I called ahead to pick up two Breakfast California burritos. I just got home and I’m sitting here with two carne asada burritos… too many times I’ve been burnt, I will not be back to this location.

I keep going between three and four stars but the food I’ve had overall puts it at a soled three stars.(I want to give it another just because they’re open all night.) I could honestly say I was addicted to their chile verde nachos for a good two months. It’s easy to find something tasty to fit your mood on their large menu.

What better place than Santana’s to have a snack while waiting for your car to be washed? Located conveniently across from my favorite car wash, The Airport Cash Wash, Santana’s does exactly what it’s supposed to do – fill me up affordably and quickly. Highly recommended for«fast food» Mexican that tastes like«sit down». Bravo!

They are officially off my list. Which is a big bummer, because they are one of the only places that makes/serves potato tacos(IF they can get the order right). I tried twice in the matter of days to get POTATO rolled tacos(asked 3 times the last trip)…got it back to the office and they were beef. REALLY??? Ordered Horchata with no ice, they filled the cup halfway with ice. Not again. Not that you care.

newest location in the valley and my favorite far! Visited late at night and the salsa bar was in great condition both times(stocked and FRESH)… Ordered the california burrito both times and helped myself to a bunch of sliced pickled carrots & jalapenos, sliced radishes, sliced cucumbers, and some of their chipotle sauce for the burrito… I did try calling in a order for lunch but they didn’t answer the phone WTF?! Otherwise I would’ve given them 4 stars because of overall convenience of 24hr mexican food/value
