BEWARE! This guy will lie and rip you off! I recently went in to have him«appraise» a large coin collection for insurance purposes and ended up selling it to him when he said it was practically worthless. However, I just found out from an estate appraiser, that he had given me barely a quarter of their value. If you are like me and have no idea what things are worth STAYAWAYFROMHIM!

This guy Steve is the rudest and most unpleasant person I have come across in a long time. He made me wait outside his shop for no reason with $ 10,000 worth of gold in my pocket, then when I knocked again(it’s a glass door and he was looking right at me) he ignored me. I think there is something wrong with this guy. Psychologically. I would suggest you go to the many other gold buyers in the valley who are courteous and professional. This guy Steve really is an idiot. I’m surprised he stays in business. Also, his shop is a dump. Two thumbs down for Steve and his coin shop!

Bad Business! Today I visited Steve’s Coin Shop. Checking ahead, I learned they were open until 5 pm. At 4:30, I came to the door. It was locked. A man inside walked over to open it. I entered and was about to tell the purpose of my visit. He said«We’re closing. We open again tomorrow at 9:30» I walked out. I will never again visit that store and am all too happy to tell the world.

This guy is a scammer — be careful. If you want to sell gold or other precious metals, an honest broker will determine the content/purity of your item & make you an offer based on the market price(less their fee, of course). This shop, however, examines your items — takes a weight measurement & then asks you how much you want for the item. When I said that he should make an offer based on his investigation, he acted like this was an unheard of concept. When I explained that I expected him, as the knowledgeable person, to tell me what it was worth or at least what he would pay, he actually got angry! I mean, the guy started raising his voice & everything. I’m glad I had my property in my hand by that point — I simply walked out. He was yelling after me… like anyone would accept such treatment? Too funny Whew. I went up the road to Unique Coin & Currency Supply. The man there treated me with respect, examined my item & offered me a fair price. Simple as that.
