The Palm House

We split an order of the onion rings (delicious) and grilled vegetables (unremarkable). She had the blackened ahi tuna and rated it a strong ⁵⁄₅. Excellent and paired with a delicious risotto.
I ordered the New York strip, served with a small side of onion rings and peppercorn sauce. The steak was unremarkable.
Palm Springs is in the desert, it’s hot. Owner was trying to cut costs by not activating the air conditioning — it was over 85°F inside the restaurant. Due to the poor ambiance and short-​sightedness of management, we won’t return.
Comparable cuisine can be found half a block up the street.

Loved everything about this place. The food was delicious and service was great. It was so fun to listen to the live band. I will definitely be back. Only wished we lived closer we’d come weekly.

I agree with all the great reviews. The ambiance, food, service and price were all amazing. Our waiter Bruce was very attentive, as was the manager and the rest of the staff. This is my first review ever, just needed to share my great experience. We will definitely return and recommend The Palm House to our friends and family.

So good! Everyone really enjoyed their food and drinks. The live music was great and the staff was very accommodating.

Had the worst experience at this place. I’ve had better service from just about anywhere else. Me and my parents came here after seeing all the great reviews about their delicious food.
Unfortunately, I can’t even talk about the food cause we never got it. 45 minutes waiting and we didn’t even get our starter. And within those 45 minutes the waitress who took our order only came once to see how we are doing, like we had food on our table. We started getting angry because groups who were seated after us started getting their food. We asked where our food was. Then they found out the kitchen never got our order because they lost it. SERIOUSLY? It took them that long to figure that out? And we had to bring it to their attention?
The waitress apologized and we waited 20 minutes longer and still no food on our table. And no staff ever came to apologize or update us on what’s happening. I doubt their food was worth waiting more than an hour. We decided to leave. When we told the waitress, she only said «ok», like she expected that, which is even more infuriating.
We’re not from around here but I can guarantee you we’re never coming back here. If they only apologized sincerely and not avoid us like a plague after their mistake, I would have given the food a try. But the service was so pathetic.

This is by far the best dinner spot we’ve been to in Palm Springs, hands down. We searched Unilocal reviews to choose where to go and this place was surprisingly better than we could’ve expected. Besides the wonderful drinks, each meal being absolutely delicious and the R&B chill jams from the live band, we enjoyed the ambiance and service. Definitely recommend this for anyone from being single to having a family gathering!

We went back for a second visit and the food was again, excellent. We tried different dishes than on our first visit.
But, the service was bad. Even though the place was almost empty, on a Friday night, we had to wait to get seated, wait for a waiter, who was at first a woman, and then was a man. (Not a sex change — two different people.) And the drink order took a long time (remember, the place was almost empty). When the food arrived it came with a small bowl of something we did not recognize. I asked what it was and the waiter said” hollandaise sauce” which we did not order. I asked what it was for, and the waiter didn’t know. To top it all off, when we finished our entrees, the waiter gave us our check without asking if we wanted anything else, like dessert maybe?
In spite of what their website says, they are not open on Monday nights. The manager said they were too busy to update it. But he wasn’t too busy to spend most of the evening sitting in the back corner of the restaurant chatting with his girlfriend.
We’ll go back because the food is great and the prices are right. But the unprofessional service is very frustrating.

Best food in Palm Springs at a price that won’t kill you. The music was terrific even though I was so concentrated on the food. The lamb was terrific as well as the muscles. The owner came to our table and in conversation he recommended a great drink. Great food and a great time.

Awsome service, amazing food and great live music! Big parking lot in the back so no hassle, the host was gracious and the service was impeccable! Will return again. Thanks for the great time Palm house

A great jazz band, nice and modern atmosphere, and everything else was good. Come check out live entertainment, for freeeeeee.

I went there last night with some friends and have to give this place a 5 star shout out! Everything from the great live entertainment, to the service (James was awesome), to the great drinks, and kudos to the chef-​the food was INCREDIBLE!!!
Great atmosphere, I usually don’t stick around for dessert but was having such a good time didn’t want to leave. So next, another round followed up with delicious dessert!
Moderately priced, lots of parking in back, this place is just what Palm Springs needs. I Highly recommend The Palm House, and can’t wait to return. Thanks for the great night!

This is our second time here and everyone in our party raved about their food. The atmosphere is beautiful, clean and well maintained. This evening there was a nice jazz band playing while we enjoyed our dinner. I had the tomahawk pork chop with red mashed potatoes and fresh spring vegetables. The rest of the party had the rotis chicken and the salmon with asparagus. The prices are extremely reasonable. Highly recommended!

Excellent food & Brandon our waiter was great. I had the salmon & asparagus & ordered the grilled vegetables. My husband had the coulott steak & he said it was perfect! We ordered Manhattans for before dinner cocktails & then wine. Highly recommend

Service and atmosphere were good, but we all were not satisfied with the steaks we ordered. The stiletto Collette. Worst steaks we’ve ever had. To make matters worse, the «manager» had no clue how to properly resolve this matter, had to step outside to call someone else about it to get approval for discounting the check, and we ended up leaving paying for meals we didn’t even eat or enjoy. Would absolutely not return.

The food is fantastic! Great Chef! Wonderful desserts! The service is very good. The bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable! The Manager, Johnny will take care of you! They have live music 7 nights a week! Jam session on Sunday! We can certainly recommend this restaurant…

Had dinner at The Palm this evening and everything was perfect — the food, the service, and the entertainment. Food presentation was spot on. The salmon was a ten with beautifully
Prepared aspargus. Gelato to finish was delicious. Of course, Rose was fantastic as usual. What a great evening at Palm Springs new restaurant. Give it a try and I guarantee you will go back time after time.

Great parking in the lot behind the restaurant– a definite plus.
Good wines, nice pour and great happy hour pricing.
This was our first time at the place. We understand it is recently under new ownership. Kudos to the owners for a great happy hour experience. We will be back to try the food and listen to the live jazz!

Great service & friendly staff! Very good house wine & excellent s steak sauces. The cream spinach was too sweet but the asparagus was great!!! The steaks were a bit small & thin but okay but not bad for $ 22 with baked potato or fries. The live entertainment was great! Nice addition to Palm Springs!

This was our second time here. The food was very good, but they were very under staffed. This caused for a slow service. I c would give the palm house 5 stars if not for the lack of suffecient service on a Saturday night.
Over as ll I would recommend.

This is a great new addition to the downtown restaurant scene. The idea of fine dining while listening to wonderful jazz singers is what PS should be about. The food we had was wonderful and the prices were amazing inexpensive considering the atmosphere. My wife had a piece of Salmon that would have fed two people, I had a tasty wedge salad that was a ½ of a head of lettuce and pan roasted mussels that might have been the best mussel dish I have ever had. The wine list was very reasonable with a good selection.
Most of the tables have a great view of the stage and on the night we were there a great trio performed. The only draw back to the layout was that the stage could not be seen from the bar area. The do have a TV in the bar that shows the stage and you can hear the music. I am not sure you can just get a drink and be in the dining area. We will be back many times.
