Best damn ribs I’ve ever had! Worth the drive from north Hollywood to Palmdale. Waitress/​waiters are very friendly and efficient in their jobs.

I’ve been here so many times. I love the food but unfortunately the service is horrible. It’s been too many times the waiters never check on us and our food always takes so long.

First time here. Food was good. Waiter did not come to check on us. I was eating chopped pork and was stabbed in my gum and cheek by a very sharp bone. Flagged down the waiter, told him to get manager. Took manager Cheryl 15 minutes to come out. She said she needed to see what to do. I gave them the bone, showed them my blood on the napkin. Took her another 10 minutes to come back with a form to fill out, she took it, said the waiter will be back, he gave me my check, nothing subtracted from bill, no apologies nothing, only the manager saying over and over, this never happened before. Well, Julie O. On here found 5 bones in her chopped chicken. This was handled badly, I will never go back. Screw this place. I called corporate to lodge a formal complaint.

The staff is great!!! Very attentive and super friendly! Our favorite spot around the mall.

Really good food and very consistent. Their pulled pork is amazing and their sauces are all awesome. (I especially like mixing their Sweet and Sassy with the vinegar based one) The staff and managers are all very nice and attentive and their tap beers are always really cold!

Consistently bad. They don’t serve BBQ, they serve tough meat reheated on a grill. Don’t fall for it.

Great food, and has a great bar with excellent service. The beer is cold and happy hour makes beer and bar food super affordable. Great people serving and inhabiting the bar :)

Great Place and atmosphere. Staff is very attentive and have good customer service skills.
Maybe it because of the rent they pay but I think that the food is a bit over priced for the portions.

The service was great but the BBQ was not. It seemed like it was reheated and the portions were small. the best thing on my plate was the mash potatoes!

Worst. Experience. Ever.
Seriously needed a desalination plant after the meal, as every single thing I ate had more salt than the Dead Sea.
Expensive, small portions, dry (did I say salty) and almost cafeteria-​style food.
We were celebrating my bro’s bday — he lives in that area and picked the place. We made the drive and, honestly, El Torito would probably have been a better choice.
Our server was condescending and couldn’t be bothered to walk around the table to collect plates, the bill or anything else… we were required to pass things to her… really?
I ordered baby back ribs with a Memphis mop. I got salt-​infused St. Louis ribs which, if rubbed together probably could have started a fire they were so dry and overdone.
My bro ordered cedar planked salmon — it was about as big as a baby’s hand.
Please, save yourself from spending $ 160+ and walking away feeling like you maybe were assaulted.

Always good delicious rib tips. Service in the bar are is ok. Food is just to good to complain.

Good comfort food and excellent customer service! I love the pulled pork here! Every time my husband and I go there for dinner it’s delightful. The manager is awesome!!! Most of the time managers are serious and unnoticeable but this guy is so cool. I like to see a manager or supervisor that sets the tone/​energy for the night. He also personally made me a drink because I couldn’t decide on what to order and it was great. It’s a nice laid back spot to go and enjoy good food.

Burnt ends and ¹⁄₃ rack of St. Louis ribs (naked) + two sides. Order it. Trust me. Best thing at Famous Dave’s Now, you might ask, why are you only scoring them a 3, if it was so good?! Well, I’ve had better, actually, much better, but for this chain, it is the best dish I have found.

As the first people in the door when the restaraunt opened, they refused to seat 4 out of a party of seven until I pulled aside the host (still had to wait 10 minutes for a table at the mouth of the kitchen). It was a reunion for my Grandmother and her work friends — they see each other once a year. Only when I mentioned that we wanted to purchase drinks and appetizers could we get a table. Service was slow, especially considering there were only four tables. We had trouble getting anyone’s attention, which is crazy since we were seated at the entrance to the kitchen. The final straw was when the waitress tried to say she got the order wrong (neglecting to take orders for 2 people) because one person on one side of the table said they were full from the appetizers. My grandmother wasn’t never served a drink, appetizer, or meal, and somehow it isn’t the waitress’ job to notice that…
Compliments to the management for correcting the situation, getting everyone’s drinks finally ordered or refilled, and comping my grandma’s meal. Not adding stars for that, though, since by the time they were willing to pay attention to our table, the meal was practically over and we took our food home in doggy bags.

I can’t say anything good about this place. I really want to because our server was trying really hard to make a good impression on my friends and I but it didn’t make up for all of the mistakes that occurred.
A few of my friends, went here for dinner after a track day at Willow Springs. The service was just not up to par and neither was the food. I normally go to Famous faces in Long Beach so I expected the same service and quality here.
We had missing orders and once we notified our server it took an extra 5 – 10 minutes just to get what we needed. One of the worst parts was that one of friend ordered a sandwich called the man handler which was supposed to come with coleslaw but it literally came with a tiny «dot» of coleslaw. I wish I took a photo for proof of how little coleslaw there was.
My boyfriend and I order a whole rack of baby back ribs but we barely ate half of it because they ribs were burnt and had essences of gasoline in it.
I really wanted to enjoy our meal and experience here since the one in long beach has always been good to me the 2 – 3 times I went but I just can’t look past bad service AND bad food quality.

All the meats were great. The sauce coated on the ribs was surprisingly good. Normally when ever I order ribs at any restaurant, I usually ask for either no sauce or on the side. I hate super sweet sauce overpowering the smoked meat. Famous Dave’s sauce on the other hand is perfect enough to be left on the meat.
Sides were good too. I like their cole slaw. Reminds me of KFC cole slaw, which is my favorite.
Minus two stars for overly pricy soft drinks. Diet Pepsi for $ 2.99 and raspberry iced tea for $ 3.99. I thought it was a huge rip off in my opinion. With that kind of price, I can easily buy a 2 liter bottle of soda at any supermarket.
And I just realized that my order (St Louis Ribs and Brisket) didn’t have corn. Did they forget?

BAD MANAGEMENT HERE!!!
I have always loved the sassy BBQ salad but will be taking my business elsewhere due do the wrong food being brought out on my last two visits and the horrible additude of the manager who wouldn’t even turn around to acknowledge me when I tried to talk to him about my food correction not getting there after an hour. Yes ONE WHOLE HOUR. How long does it take to cook a piece of chicken? We were told 7 minutes about ½ an hour after our food came out wrong. I felt we were more patient than most would have been and to be that rude was uncalled for. They took it off the bill but a simple sorry or even some eye contact would have gone further. Mismanagement creates less customers. Less customers will put you out of business Dave. Next time I’m going to Dickies.

Went here for a dinner because I was craving some bbq. The front greeted just the way they should and promptly seated my wife and I. I ordered some burnt ends and rib platter. The ribs are always the Best at Famous Dave’s. I just wish they had just a little more meat on them.
Now the burnt ends are another matter. Of course you are going to get a burnt taste, but darn it does accumulate way too much into half of the pile of meat. Maybe turning down the burnt volume on this meat would help.
We got plenty of water throughout the dinner and I applaud them for being so attentive.
The downside to the seating arrangement is the one seat they put us in. It is the booth right by the rinsing sink. Something from the kitchen was making a bit of noise about every 10 minutes. It was enough to notice for sure. Not a lot of people were using the sink so that wasn’t an issue with traffic by the table.
Overall, it was a nice dinner and I would come back again even if it was just for ribs.

Sorry this was our first time here and we were not impressed. When we walked in the wait staff was gabbing in the other room looked at us waiting and kept up with their conversation ignoring us. The place was empty and it still took them another five minutes to decide where to seat us.
My husband ordered the feast for one with a bowl of chili, I ordered ribs and ends. We ordered corn, greens, coleslaw, and baked beans as sides. The waitress explained the sauces and brought fresh chips to sample them with, they really weren’t anything special.
The food was okay at best, everything was dry and drowning in sauce so I couldn’t taste any smoke. The meat pulled nicely from the bone but it would have been better if it weren’t dry or swimming in sauce. The corn was boiled and tasteless. The greens were good. The coleslaw and baked beans were okay. My husband said the chili wasn’t great. Overall we wouldn’t return.
