This place is closed. The first time owner, Mario, had no idea what he was doing. He charged prime prices for choice cuts of meat. The first week they were open they were charging $ 4 for a draft of Miller, ridiculous. Some of the food was good but a little too avant garde for the south suburbs. As well everything was ala carte, a big no no in the suburbs. Can’t say I’m sad to see this place go. The owner is not a very nice person.

I think the main reason I am giving this restaurant one star is because the ratio of the service experience to the price and quality of the food was very, very poor. I work for one of the top rated restaurants in the Atlanta area( Unilocal, Zagat, etc) and our entrees are not even this pricey. My aunt who just lost her husband brought my husband and our family here because her late husband wanted to bring us here before he suddenly passed. We didn’t know that she was bringing us to a restaurant where our entrees would cost as much as a fine dining establishment. This is NOT A FINEDININGESTABLISHMENT. There are some key points of service missing. For example, basic mis en place for each course. There is no reason for dinner I should not be offered a new knife when being served a meat entrée. We stirred our coffee with the ends of our forks. Not acceptable. Also, the way food goes down on the table should be with the body towards the guest using the outer arm to put the food on the table, not the arm closest to the guest with the server asking us every time to «excuse my reach». Tacky. Food wise, the Caesar dressing tasted like it was made with old fish. It was HIDEOUS. My husband couldn’t finish it. My wedge salad was very good though. The filet was good. It was ordered medium rare though and looked waaaay more rare than that. To her credit the server did answer our questions very well and seemed well versed on the menu offerings. If the owner does care about his or her reputation, they will take a look at their Unilocal reviews and realize that with food priced like you’re dining at the Ritz, there is a service level expectation that if not met will result in disappointed diners and bad reviews. I recommend they take some time to study basic service skills and ensure their servers are carefully selected and trained to meet these expectations. Otherwise the restaurant is going to go down in flames.

My rating is zero stars or minus one, if possible. My wife and I went to Modello on Good Friday, the first or second week that the restaurant opened. On that night, the bread was cold and the service slow and unresponsive(didn’t know the specials or what came with them). On top of that, I ordered soup and my wife ordered a salad. My wife’s salad came but not my soup. My wife had just started he salad and the entrée came. I asked about my soup and the waiter said she forgot. I told her forget it now and I complained politely about the entrées coming moments after we had just received our salads. We were very dissatisfied with the entire experience. Well, last night, we decided to try again and let bygones be bygones hopefully chalking up bad prior experience to new opening and restaurant still getting the kinks out. Not only was last night’s experience worse, it was awful. Once again, we had to ask what the specials were. When the waiter told us, we asked how much they were– he didn’t know-had to go check. When he came back with prices, I asked what came with the prime rib($ 35 for 14 ounces) and was told once again he didn’t know and would have to check. He thought it came with a potato and maybe a salad but had to check. He came back and said the prime rib did indeed come with mashed potatoes and carrots so I ordered that and my wife the chicken marsala– we both ordered salads also. Well ten minutes later, our salads came. Within 5 minutes of receiving our salads, our entrees also arrived. I was about half way done with my salad and my wife was about ¼th through. Someone from the kitchen put our food down on the table and then left. I signaled the waiter and politely complained about what had happened and that this had happened before. He said he was sorry and went away. At this point, we had to eat our salads fast while our dinners were sitting on the table getting cold. When I started to eat my prime rib, I had no steak knife so I had to request that– another five minutes of my dinner getting cold– also no vegetable as I was told. I flagged down the waiter again to complain about the whole experience and was basically told«sorry» and«oh well». After paying, I said something to the hostess who said she would say something to the chef but I have no idea where that went as we left. I will never go back even if offered a free meal, free drinks, free desserts(if they have any-waiter never offered or free appetizers. They can keep all. Worst dining experience ever, second worst was the first time we went there. NEVERAGAIN– staff could care less — waiters not knowing specials, prices, side dishes, never asked how I wanted prime rib done, awful timing of courses, overpriced, etc…

My family and I wanted to try this place, we were not impressed. There were multiple things during our dining experience that were not acceptable. #1 food was OK. We ordered the goat cheese ravioli which was hard and had little to no sauce. My boyfriend ordered a 38 $ steak which came out over cooked, it specifically states on the menu that a medium rare stake is pink with warm red center, this steak had no red in it whatsoever and little to no juice. They also gave him mashed potatoes instead of the asparagus which he told the waitress he wanted. When the waitress asked how everything was we told her our thoughts and her response to the over cooked steak was«maybe it was dark in the dining room, and that it looked medium rare in the kitchen» I’m sorry but NO, how would u know what the inside of the steak looked like if it wasn’t cut open until it got to our table. After that the waitress made little to no other appearances at our table. It’s like she was scared to come over there. We sat for 5 – 10 min with our dirty plates and empty glasses on the table before she came to clear them. Mind you the dining room was not busy. Throughout the dinner we also had the buss waiter try to deliver multiple things to our table that we didn’t order. They seemed very unorganized. Unfortunately we will not be returning to give them a second chance. It was over priced for the quality of food we received.

I stay in this area for work and found this gem of a restaurant thanks to Unilocal! We dined in early so there definitely was no wait and no crowd. Our waitress was on her game bringing fresh bread over to the table. I ordered goat cheese ravioli with a cup of chicken noodle soup. The soup was good but the ravioli were great. Although it said pan fried, that isn’t the term I would use. They were more seared but good nonetheless. I think there were about 6 good size ravioli. The only complaint is the lack of stuffing leaving too much plain pasta. Everything was moderately priced but the best part was on the way out. Instead of typical crappy mints, they have specialty chocolates! Yum! I’ll definitely be back!

My boyfriend and I went here for a dinner date night and had a great experience. They had a decent wine selection for me and beer selection for the bf. He had the salmon and it was cooked perfectly and served with carrots and peas. I had pasta with vodka sauce which was delicious. We don’t normally order dessert but a table near us did and it looked so good that we did too. The tiramisu was made in house and was heavenly. Even my boyfriend enjoyed if and he isn’t big on sweets. We also had really great weather so we decided to sit outside and really enjoyed how nice their back patio was. Our waitress and the owner were also very sweet and I could tell that they were really invested in making this new restaurant successful. If you decide to try it, I feel like you won’t be disappointed.

Excellent steaks, the best I’ve had. Love the sides as well. The Patio is great, the inside is very inviting too. We have been there for lunch as well and like the tempura fried green beans and sliders. The truffle fries are great. I thought the prices were very fair and comparable to fine dining in the area. It ‘s nice to have a great place in the neighborhood that offers, lunch, dinner, patio, and entertainment on the weekends.

I hate to say it because I had high hopes, but it’s the same shit, different name(used to be LImestone). The bar was good, as always. Service and food sucks. Ordered the«signature» lamb shank and found it to be the kind of lamb that makes you feel like you don’t want to order lamb for another 2 years, not very good, especially for $ 26.00! Calamari appetizer was ruined by bad sauce that accompanied it. Shrimp stuffed with crab was close to inedible(thank God I was hungry). Shrimp stuck to the shell. Side dish of rapini was not cooked by anyone who knows how to cook rapini(also inedible). Total rip off as far as food and service goes. Don’t waste your money or your time. They try to sell their steaks, as that’s their money item but I am thankful I did not fall for it. I’d be even more dissatisfied than I am right now. No way, ever again. Almost forgot to mention the salad that arrived after the main courses. C’mon, really, you expect to stay in business?

This is the old Limestone Grill. The new management has given it a more positive and friendly feel. Dinner for three at 5:30pm. Having looked at the menu on the website before coming I thought it was pricey and everything was ala carte but the menu looked interesting and we wanted to try it because we heard good things about them. They started us with a crusty, fresh bread that comes with a nice spread as well as olive oil and parmesian. We had Peroni’s, but they have a good beer selection including IPA’s. For entrees we had the 8oz filet, the hangar steak with a horse radish crust and the lamb Osso Bucco. Our server suggested we could split the sides since they were generous serving sizes. We split a salad and grilled asparagus, which is perfect for three. All the food was very good. The steaks were tasty and cooked as we ordered. They came with a smidgeon of mashed potatoes. The lamb was a braised shank with mushroom risotto. It was fall off the bone and flavorful. Our server and the staff were friendly, attentive and efficient although service was a bit slow. But almost all of the tables were filled at 6:00. Even though it is pricey I thought there was a good value and we will return.

The best experience we have had. Our waiter Tony was excellent! My husband had the Zuppa de pesce and was amazed! Calamari, mussels, and shrimp were perfect. I had the Pork Chop Parmesan. To my surprise this was the size of Fred Flintstone. So tender you would not believe. Although we do not usually eat desserts, we did indulge in the flour less chocolate cake. You have to experience the goodness! We are so happy Mondello’s has arrived! Date night great night!
