Wharf Express

Went there today and they were closed. No hours of operation on door. Looked through windows and they appear to be gone and not just seasonal. Too bad, I was looking forward to trying it.

Okay find a place you really like and what happens they go out of business of course don’t know why I was here just last month and now they gone.

Best po boys on the beach. I eat here at least twice a week, and am always referring to friends. Also try the bacon wrapped shrimp!
Great staff as well!

Very good food and service. Cheese grits were just right. Shrimp, flounder and chicken tenders were cooked to perfection.

Some friends that live locally recommended we try the Warf while on vacation. We got 2 seafood platters to go. Not a whole lot of ambience, but the place is very clean, and the guy behind the counter was very accommodating, The food was VERY good. Prices are very reasonable. Great place to grab delicious seafood dinners to go

We had the Greek salad, gumbo and oyster basket. It was all great and recommend highly!

We stopped by this restaurant today for a late lunch. We’d passed by it many times, but until now hadn’t ever dined there. The food was very good and very reasonably priced. My girlfriend and I shared an appetizer of broiled, bacon-​wrapped shrimp. I then ordered a catfish entrée, fried, with garlic green beans and cheese grits as my sides. My girlfriend ordered a combination entrée of crab cakes and oysters, both fried, also with garlic green beans and cheese grits. We received our food fairly soon after we ordered it, and everything was very delicious! The cheese grits had cheese throughout, the portions of seafood were good, and everything we had tasted wonderful. The staff were courteous and attentive, the restaurant was very clean, and the atmosphere was comfortable and relaxing. We’ll definitely be coming here again, probably with friends and family in tow.

We ate here while on vacation and our food was excellent! The staff was wonderful and attentive and our orders came out really fast! Shrimp tacos, fried green tomatoes, shrimp and grits and spicy shrimp appetizer all Great! My only complaint is that there’s not a location in my state because I’d be a regular!!! Love this place!

Good food! Nice staff! Everything is delicious. I tried the shrimp and grits Saturday special and out was bomb! Definitely have to visit again

I stumbled upon this amazing restaurant when a group of my friends invited me out. My wife has a severe shellfish allergy, so I am always wary of taking her to seafood restaurant. Have no fear, Peggy and the staff at Wharf Express is amazing. They took care of us like we were family, and we will come back when we are in town. They have 4 different fryers, and do not cross contaminate any fryers. We also had a few siliac and gluten free people in the group. They have a completely seperate area for preparing wheat and gluten free meals.
I had a snapper entrée with hush puppies, red beans and rice, and grits with cheese and andouille sausage. All was amazing. I’m kind of a red beans and rice snob, and the flavor profiles were definitely there. My wife ha a chicken cranberry pecan spinach feta salad with balsamic dressing and was really enjoyed it. Many of our group of 12 had different dishes, though the bacon wrapped shrimp seemed to be a hit with everyone.
I also got a few slices of key lime pie to go, and they did not disappoint.
If you want exceptional service, great seafood, and an excellent price I would highly recommend checking out wharf express.
