Terrible service by who seemed to be the owner… He was dismissive and barely interacted with me, seemed annoyed to be hosting me… I ordered the chicken rice vermicelli soup, it was okay at best… The broth was sort of bland and there were no herbs or anything fresh to make the soup pop… I will not be back and I would not recommend

The food wasn’t very good and they give very small portions(why be chintzy with broth??) I really wanted to like this place and we ordered a couple things but it was all«meh»

Everything I have been getting here lately has been excellent. I tried the grilled pork Banh Mi hoagie and the beef Phở. Both very good

the 2 stars aren’t for the food(a so-so banh mi sandwich) but because of the surly service I received… excuse me for bothering you — it won’t happen again

Everything was bland… everything. And the apps came after the meal. The portions were small, and each meal was overpriced. The perfect storm of mediocrity.

Worst Vietnamse food I have ever had. Shrimp Pad Thai was just shrimp and noodles… nothing more? Summer rolls were terrible and spring rolls tasted old and dried out. I will never order from them again!

A wonderfully quaint little restaurant in an otherwise nondescript shopping mall, La Saigon punches way above its weight. The curries are hearty and delicious, the spring rolls full of flavor and the service fast and polite. Highly recommended for a night out seeking a touch more adventure than your standard Thai or Chinese night in. BYOB. Try the Princess Platter for a full tour of the appetizers, the eggplant & shrimp in a garlic sauce and any of the rice noodle wraps for a fun twist.

Compare to the other phở I have this place provides less food and same price. We decide to buy a slice of pizza after two bowel of phở

Food — 4+ Prices — 4+ Service — 4 Ambience — 3 Le Saigon offers high-quality, authentic Vietnamese cuisine with reasonable prices and good service. Located in a shopping center on Route 30 in Paoli, they’ve been in business for many years and seem to have a loyal local customer base. They do a brisk takeout business as well as a steady lunchtime crowd. Fresh ingredients and a quiet(perhaps too quiet), friendly setting make for a relaxed meal that won’t set you back too much. BYOB is fine. I have tried several things on their menu, but favorites are Pad Thai with Chicken and Chicken with Lemon Grass. Nice selection of appetizers, too. I see some other diners have complained about the food being«bland», but if you ask, the owner is more than happy to accommodate any special requests for amping up the spices or adding ingredients that you may have in mind. Haven’t had their phở and I know fellow Unilocalers give that mixed reviews, so my overall 4-star rating is based on my experiences over the last several years with their classic menu items.

Looking for a good phở place a little closer to home, I gave this place two tries. Both times, the broth brought to mind the word«dishwater». Needless to say, I will not be returning.

They need to up their game. With so many very good Vietnamese restaurants available, why would I bother to eat this mediocre fare ever again? The summer rolls(called snow rolls here) were light on the fresh and aromatic herbs that make these a delight elsewhere. Same criticism for the vermicelli noodles with sautéed shrimp. Service was indifferent. Oh, and if you’re looking for good Vietnamese food on the Main Line, try Phở Street in Bryn Mawr.

I’ve been here twice for lunch and really like their rice vermicelli special w lemon grass. It’s great summer fare at a good price for the area. Service was fine and they have a nice menu. I liked it better than other local Vietnamese restaurants.

The charbroiled meats on rice noodles are excellent, even better with the spring roll. The service is good too. A great place to eat!

Had a great lunch at Le Saigon. Tasty Phở, grilled beef with lemongrass and a nice strong and sweet Vietnamese iced tea. Nice quiet atmosphere, a clean and cozy restaurant!

Le Saigon is… meh(exactly as Unilocal says 2 stars denotes). When we went there for dinner tonight, there were just 3 other customers in the restaurant. By the time we ordered, they had all left and no one came in by the time we finished at 8:30 pm. The tall man who was the only person on the service side of the restaurant acts as if customer service is not that important. The ambiance is very ordinary. The food — which is the best part of the whole dining experience at Le Saigon — is… very ordinary, and the portions are noteworthily small. And the prices are way, way too high for what you get. Overall, I can’t imagine why I would ever going back there again.

I’ve been to far too many Vietnamese restaurants to not know the difference between a good phở and bad. I guess I will admit that this is slightly bordering on the bad side. The phở tasted so bland that I got concerned whether I was actually having a cold that I was losing my taste buds. It was after checking out the reviews here that my fears were relieved. I didn’t have the flu. They just had didn’t have very good Phở. I did like their vermicelli, so I’m not all that disappointed. But then when you put a hefty price tag on top of a less than mediocre experience, you’re sort of asking for trouble.

This has been my favorite restaurant for years. Their spring rolls are amazing! I have never tried the Phở which have negative reviews on here. Their vermicelli dishes are something I look forward too. Surprised at the negative reviews.

Well i guess its a good thing, there isn’t a lot of competition on the mainline for vietnamese food because if there were — they would be in trouble. After reading the reviews, we decided to give this place a try. I grew up eating vietnamese food — so I know good, bad, and fair. SO far we ordered the beef and pork vermicelli. What can I say — super bland, barely any veggies — too many noodles. I don’t have much incentive to go back. You can always tell if a vietnamese place is good by their vermicelli and their Phở Broth. But after this, I don’t think i want to try it — I’ll just make the drive to Upper Darby or the city. However it is a cute place.

A solid 3 stars, maybe even 4 — food is very basic(possibly a little bland) but the spring rolls and bun were tasty and the traditional Vietnamese Coffee hit the spot on a cold day. grilled Lamb over bun was succulent and tasty — albeit a small portion and $ 12.95. Quick service got me in & out even on a busy Thursday lunch rush. Nearly every table was full — and this after years of being open is a great sign. Prices are higher than in Philly(Chinatown, Vietnam, m Vietnam Palace, Phở Cali) but considering where we are — I am beyond thrilled to have a non-pizza lunch alternative. Can’t wait to go back and try the sumer rolls.
