Wow, this place can be the worst place to buy a car. So me and my girlfriend were very interested in buying a Nissan Rogue SL (Fully Loaded). Sales person that help us was Emil was very helpful and gave us a good deal on a car. But when we were getting the paper work started and the payments we met Ernie (Finance Manager) was a disaster! He was telling us about the free year of oil changes, warranty (dents, paint, leather), and a bunch of rebates. After everything was set the car should have been at $ 38,000 is what we agree on. But later find out the final price was $ 46,000. All these rebates and warranties were more money than he told us. Then he later tried using a bank that had a higher finance rate, rather doing the Nissan. The worst part was it took over a month to pay off our lease that they said they would take care of, never finish any car loan until we came back three week later asking why there are problems with the loan, and then finding Ernie not only lying to us but telling us some bs excuse. We asked for a manager to talk to and made us wait over two hours to meet someone. This finance manager Ernie is not only trying to cheat customers but almost ruin our credit score. Finally after all this a corporate general manager Nelson called us apologizing and said he would look into this and will make up for all the mistakes. So far we haven’t heard anything from Nissan. I don’t blame the Emil for the mistakes that Ernie did. Emil was very professional and helpful. But this Ernie (Finance Manager) and Nelson (Corporate General Manager) lack of respect and trying to pull some bs with us makes me wonder how can people buy cars from this company. All I can say is STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP AND THIER COMPANY Auto Eastern Nissan unless you want to waste your time on fixing things yourself. Customers are what make business last and sadly this company just doesn’t care about anything.
This company is so cheap that they gave us the car with not a full tank of gas. They promise us that they would credit us for the the tank of gas. Guess what never happen! Really your company are so cheap that you can even fill up a car with gas.

I am 5 ½ months pregnant so my husband called before I headed there so they knew I was coming but still ended up waiting 3 hours to return my lease because they wanted to take all the customers that were buying cars before me. The customer service was clearly different once they knew I already leased with another company. They just kept telling me that they were finishing up with another customer and will be right with me. The ride that I had arranged for ending up having to leave me there after she was waiting there for an hour because she had her child with her and we weren’t expecting to be waiting that long.
Not one manager came out to apologize the inconvenience.

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAY AWAY! No wonder they have one star.
These people have absolutely no respect for their customers. They will belittle you and treat you like garbage if you decide not to buy. Go to meadowlands Nissan instead. I’ve bought 4 Nissans and never had an issue there.
At Paramus, I went to return a lease and they refused to let me sign for my return. Instead they lied on my receipt and said I was not present. They were mad that I was not getting another car on the spot. After complaining about my receipt I was told to move away from the reception area so other customers wouldn’t hear that they were lying on legal documents (which is fraud).
This particular dealership is a complete shame to the Nissan brand.

Car salesman are a swarmy bunch, but this dealership is exceptionally unprofessional.
As another customer stated they are not registering cars after purchase. My family bought 2 cars from this dealership at the end of November, after the most shady negotiation process. 3 months later the plates for one car finally come in, and the very rude receptionist at the front desk insists we must pay the $ 300 fee, even though it was paid the day we bought the car. Sure enough they get our file, with the receipt for the plates. Save yourself a headache and stay away from these crooks.

Customer service and the management is a complete joke!
No one gets back to you and when you do call back for the 5^th time you are greeted again by who… The answering machine for someone that no longer works there.
This place has been under new management several times and they have yet to improve their services & staff.

Do NOT buy from this dealership! You will have to make several trips for additional temporary plates because they don’t register the vehicles before the temporaries run out!!! They also have you drive on expired plates because they can’t print on Sundays or before the temp expires. When my plates finally came in I was called the day before one of the temps expired. I went the next day and was told I had to pay $ 63.50 above the estimated cost… no problem, just show me the DMV breakdown or receipt. I was told all they had was the registration and the plates which totaled $ 93 less than they were charging me. The manager Santiago refused to provide me with a breakdown or receipt and said he can’t get it. They also had no idea what the additional charges were. What kind of dealer charges you $ when they don’t even know what its for or provide a receipt???

they literally offered us a loan to buy our car out of our lease and kept the money. they haven’t made one payment to our original bank and we’re about to start legal procedures for theft.
do not go here.
they will take your money and dodge all phone calls.

if you are trading in your car… do not make business here… bought my altima 3 months ago and they still haven’t laid off my trade. impacted my credit score. they won’t do anything about it… stay away from this place

Agree with previous reviewers in that I would prefer to not give a star at all. Long story short… sold a year old vehicle back to this dealership for an elderly relative when she became unable to drive. Left the vehicle with the salesperson and was told payment check for the vehicle would be there in a couple of days. They do not issue checks directly from the Paramus site. Multiple trips to the dealership, multiple unanswered phone calls and emails to this same salesperson over the following month left me still unpaid. Reported to BBB — no response from dealership to them as well. Finally met one employee who worked at a different location but happened to be in the dealership when I stated I was not leaving until I had a check in hand. He apologized and admitted to «management issues.» He was a delight to work with and resolved this issue. It took 5 – 6 weeks to be paid. Imagine taking a car from a dealership and not paying them for 6 weeks!

this dealership owes me a rebate since june… and in addition they tried to cash my deposit check (which they said they shredded) a week after i bought the car… no reply from the manager… no help from anyone… customer service in Tennessee has contacted them twice about this and no check yet! the WORST! they dont care about their customers OBVIOUSLY!

I am giving no stars to auto eastern after this insane car buying experience. Picked up my new car leased on July 4^th the deal was ok I think should have been better. Today is Aug 31^st and I still do not have the new plates for my car I have had to go back for another temp plate and am now being told they should have the new plates tomorrow when the temporary expires … the dealer scam is they want you to pay for a plate transfer instead of getting new plates from the dmv (was included in negotiations when we purchased the car) I bet they get plenty of people with this so buyer beware … the sales man told us the new plates would be in 2 times this past week … just blowing smoke if you ask me… someone in this place needs to get off their back side and manage this I regret purchasing the car in this place because if something really goes wrong and they can’t get a license plate how are they going to fix my car? Buyer beware would not recommend..

This review is for the River Street location (an Auto Eastern Nissan Paramus location with mostly CPO used cars).
I was a very motivated buyer, knowing exactly what I wanted — a black, 2013 Nissan Altima SL with less than 30K miles on it. I was happy to see that this dealership had it in stock and at a great price, so I went over and met with Geo, the manager, and Scott, the sales person.
Scott and I went to test drive the car. He’s a perfectly pleasant person, however the «salesmanship» wasn’t there. At no point did he or anyone else go through the features of the car. For me, that was fine, as I did my research before hand, but it’s not standard.
We came back in and went through the usual negotiation process. I’ll say this, if you don’t know your stuff they will take advantage of you here. They tried to give me 2x the going rate for financing, snuck on a «window etching fee» of 189 without telling me, and conveniently «forgot» that we had agreed on a price of $ 300 less than what they ended up drafting up on the contract. Now, all of this is not abnormal for a used car dealership, just beware.
Next, I take the car to an independent mechanic to do a pre-​purchase inspection (note: Geo tried to give me the run around that this is not allowed due to «liability»…it’s complete BS. Push back). Generally, the car was in perfect running condition, except the tires were all bald, one had several plugs and a nail in it, the tints on the car were illegal, and the oil had not been changed — just new oil added on top of the old. The biggest issue of course was the tires, and my mechanic advised me that they were dangerous to drive on so I wanted to address that issue ASAP. Also, tires are an expensive replacement and not a cost I was willing to absorb.
I took the car back to the dealership to have them address all issues. Part of the point-​inspection required for CPO certification are checking the tires, fluids, etc. so I really didn’t expect any push back on these blatant issues. Long story short, I spent my entire Saturday arguing with Geo, only to finally get these issues resolved. When I finally got him to agree, he threw what I can only describe as an adult tantrum — he wouldn’t make eye contact with me, and all but refused to shake my hand. The tires I needed weren’t in stock, so I needed to come back on Monday. Geo gave me the run around when I requested a «We-​Owe» form to state that they would perform the work for free, and I had to eventually get it from the mechanic. I guess his intention was for me to forget.
I finally have gotten everything set with the car, picked up my plates, and going on with my life. I have no intention of being in that place ever again.
The only people that were professional that I interacted with was Andre, the service manager, and Manny, the finance manager that walked through my final paperwork. They are the only reason why this place gets two stars from me.
BOTTOM LINE: I would NOT recommend this dealership unless you’re willing to put in a lot of extra time, energy, frustration, and miles driving to and from to get things fixed that shouldn’t have been wrong in the first place.

Only if there was a way to give negative stars. The experience was worst with So called unprofessional Manager who kept mocking us because he was unable to work on our numbers to strike a fair deal. Due to his attitude they lost a customer.

I regret not reading the Unilocal reviews sooner and not choosing to buy a car here.
We wanted the new Nissan Rogue and was very set on buying it. This Nissan dealership was the closest one. After test driving it, we decided to purchase the car. Worst mistake ever. The buying process to obtaining our license plate took FOREVER.
The salesman was new to the business and it was his 2 month (?) of his career as a salesman. So he did a poor job of selling the car and being professional but lucky for him, we were set on purchasing the car. The process of buying the car began with going back and forth from the salesman to the manager to negotiate prices. It was alright until then. Then the process of paying for the car took 4 hours (no exaggeration). It was ridiculous. We also found a noticeable scratch in the inside dashboard in the new car but we received no discount for that.
What frustrates me more is what happened after. We took the car home without a GPS sim card and a temporary license plate because they told us those things will come in within 1 – 2 weeks. They really don’t do a good job of updating us on the progress. It was always extremely difficult to get in contact with our salesman. The GPS sim card came in 2 weeks and we only found out it arrived because we called in to ask about it.
Then after a month, our temporary license plate EXPIRED. Getting a license plate takes 1 day of waiting at the DMV. But they FORGOT about our plates. After calling multiple times and different numbers few days before and on the expired date, we became very frustrated and called the manager. At first, they said they couldn’t find any record. After thirty minutes of searching, they finally found our record and told us it will be ready in two days… When we asked about if we should be driving our car with an expired license plate, they told us to drive carefully so that we won’t be pulled over. So in summary, they forgot about getting our license plate, avoided responsibility for it until after expiration, then told us to drive ILLEGALLY.
To put the cherry on top, when we did finally receive our plates, the front desk lady handed our license plate and told us to go to the back for the auto parts guy to put it on for us. When we did go to the back, the guy looked at us funny as if it wasn’t his job. When we told him the front desk sent us to him, he went to the front desk lady, had a short talk and then put our license on our car. So I guess no one really wants to do their job nor want to be a good employee.
WORST DEALERSHIP EVER.

I will never lease or buy a car from Nissan ever again! This dealership has the worse customer service. People are unprofessional and not helpful at all. They lost a car that we returned. Who ever heard of anything like that happening. Stay away from this dealership.

I’ve heard that they’re under new management, so hopefully these issues are just things that will be resolved once they get their feet under them. But, wow, do they have a lot to improve.

If it was possible to give no stars I would. Worst company ever. Been calling me for months and when I can’t answer I call back and ask why they called and they said «we don’t know «. Today I received a phone call from a machine. Telling me I’ve been missing maintenance and such. Good to know the machine knows more than the humans working at this awful place. Not like I’ll go to this location or Hackensack for maintenance because the workers are so incompetent, rude, and nasty. I’ve been hit on by workers just sitting to wait for an oil change. After I’m done with my Nissan I’m never dealing with this god awful place again.

Signature forgery, lack of integrity. Paramus Nissan is going to make you feel hopeless and helpless if you have issues after you drive off their lot.
I purchased a Nissan Altima from Paramus Nissan earlier this year. Someone from the dealership forged my signature and signed me up for the biweekly payment program with a third party company — Colonial Transfer. I provided my bank information during the time of purchase, assuming it was auto pay directly to Nissan. It became suspicious to me after they made the first withdrawal payment more than a month in advance of my first due date. I kept calling the dealership, but nobody from Finance ever picked up or returned any of my calls. I stopped by there a week later to find out that the finance person, Rick, who helped me during my purchase was no long working there. The manager I spoke with ensured me that my money is there and I just need to wait for a cycle to run through and everything will be corrected. Recently due to a payment issue, Colonial Transfer contacted me and I received the contract that Paramus Nissan signed me up for which agreed me to pay them a $ 399 service charge to enroll in their payment program and additional service charge every time they make payments for me. I called the dealership multiple times and left voice messages but none of my calls were returned. I went into the dealership early December and the person I spoke to, told me that there is nothing they can do for me since there was a change of ownership in October. Although they still operate under the name, «Paramus Nissan,» they said that they are not liable for anything from the previous owner. The owner who used to own Paramus Nissan also owns Rockland Nissan. I called Rockland Nissan and left a message on their Paramus Nissan service line. I am still waiting for someone to call me back. I reached out to Nissan Consumer Affairs and they are working on getting in touch with the dealership, but at this point the only thing they can do is leave voice messages.
Stay away from Paramus Nissan and Rockland Nissan to save you the headache from dealing with these crooks.

Terrible experience. The car we ended up with was totally misrepresented. Came back within the week to fix the situation. We were pretty much told tough luck, our fault for not inspecting the car. We sat in the car with the salesman Marvin and specifically asked, «does this rogue have everything that our trade in rogue has except intelligence key (which we were falsely told could be installed after market), GPS and a sunroof.» We were told absolutely. Before the week was over, we came to realization that the car also didn’t have automatic headlights, fog lights, power seats. Furthermore, the Bluetooth for the gps doesn’t work when plugged into the console. Information Marvin knew but didn’t tell us when we said we could do with out the gps.
Since this purchase we have been lied to and been run around with no call backs. Apparently the general manager doesn’t exist, as he/​she is never there. Their «customer service manager» is a 20year old undergrad who was too busy with final exams to do anything about our situation. Any manager we spoke with never returned any phone calls as promised.
Stay away from this dealership. They are scam artists who get you into a vehicle they know nothing about, then get you out of the door and never care again.

The salesperson we had was really nice but I felt so much pressure on getting this one car. I wanted to talk it over but I kept getting told that I wouldn’t get the same deal the next day (?!). I hate that.
Then, the paperwork took forever and it was already late at night. We were there well after closing and I was exhausted (and starving).
Later, it turns out, the one key’s remote doesn’t work. Then the hatch doesn’t work. In less than a few months of having the car, I’ve had to go back to the Service Dept (some of the guys there are nice) at least 3 times already!!! For a hatch!
And I had to keep explaining that it doesn’t work and then one guy in the service dept tried to blame ME? That I don’t know how to open a door or I’m locking it wrong? Are you kidding me?
It’s been weeks and I’m still waiting for the parts to come in so I can go in for my FOURTH visit.
Once this lease is over, that’s it. I’m going elsewhere.
