My second time here and it’s decent. I wouldn’t say the best… sort of on the line of Outback Steakhouse, Applebee’s, or a Red Lobster. The décor is really nice and surprisingly big on the inside. The place is well maintained and very clean. I wish there was more to say about the décor but it was really dim and what you’d expect from a restaurant that’s similar to Outback Steakhouse. Staff: very friendly. Our waiter, Yaser(I believe that was his name) went above and beyond. He was friendly and attentive from the moment my husband and I sat down. We waited a good 20 mins for the rest of or party to get there and Yaser didn’t rush us at all. He kept coming back to check on us to make sure we were doing ok, bought us fresh bread when the rest of our party arrived, he was really on top of everything. He was very friendly and conversed with us without looking annoyed that we were probably wasting his time attending to other tables. Food: Decent. I ordered the spicy ahi tuna bowl which consisted of rice, shredded carrots, mango salsa, seared ahi tuna and these crunchy wonton like strips on top. It wasn’t the best thing I’ve tasted but not the worst. It is one of the restaurant’s favorite dishes so it is worth a try if you’re not looking to eat fish or steak. Another must try is their bang bang shrimp which has a spicy tang to it. It’s fried shrimp with this spicy rant sauce on a bed of lettuce which really lives up to its name. Definitely something worth getting… price could be better though. Whom I believe was the manager, came up to our table to ask how everything was. I noticed he continuous circled the restaurant checking on everyone’s dining experience which is a plus. A lot of people who stay at the hotel next door come to this location for lunch/dinner. If you’re visiting the area, this is a decent location since the mall is probably a 5 minute drive. As a local I wouldn’t say I’d come here all the time, but it’s a nice place for happy hour and a less fancy/classy dinner

Some reflections from a recent visit my wife and I made to Bonefish grill On Dec 20th2015 at the location in Paramus, NJ. To quote my wife. «It was the single worst dining experience of 2015» We arrived around 6pmish. We were first seated not that far from the entrance and against the window area. It was cold. I swapped seats with my wife but it was unusually drafty and cold. Even my wife’s pregnancy could not account for it. It was so cold we asked for another table. The staff was gracious to accommodate our request Suffice to say the next table in the dining room was just as cold. Perhaps colder. We mentioned this to the server. After approx. 10 minutes we were able to feel some warmth. But then shortly after, it got cold again. Then warm. Then Cold again. The temp fluctuations were not subtle. My wife and I then waited at least 20 minutes before a server came to take our order. While we waited and placed our orders, no water or even cutlery was placed at our table. We actually leaned over to the neighboring table to napkin/cutlery. The food was O.k. but certainly not worth going back. I wrote the company and never heard back. Thus Its going to be quite to ever go back.

Lovely place for dinner on a Friday night. Great intimate ambience and I liked that our table could have a conversation over dinner without shouting. The service was exceptional. Our server was very helpful, disappearing to check where one of the beers were brewed when casually asked by our party. We couldn’t even stop her in time, she was just that fast. I had the talapia with mango salsa, french-style green beans and spinach with garlic. The fish was very good and not too oily, while the mango salsa give it a nice acidic tang. The crisp green beans were liberally coated in butter, which made them automatically delicious. It was a simple meal, but well executed.

Came in for an anniversary dinner on New Years Day and it was overall a great experience! We were seated quickly on a Friday night and it was a holiday too. So very glad for that since we were really hungry. Server was able to quickly bring over bread which was warm, soft on the inside crunchy on the outside. When ordering when I mentioned my allergy my server was able to tell me exactly what dishes have what types of onions and answer all my questions. We ordered the lobster stuffed shrimp special, bang bang shrimp, and rainbow trout topped with mango salsa and with garlic whipped potatoes and French green beans on the side. We mentioned we were splitting everything and when everything came out, the main entrée was already split into two portions for us. Mango salsa was even separated well so allergy could be taken care of. That was greatly appreciated! Lobster stuffed shrimp was full of flavor, served right on the skillet. Very creamy but not too much and it complemented the other dishes we ordered. The bang bang shrimp lives up to the hype! It’s creamy and there’s a kick to it that isn’t too bad spicy level-wise. My boyfriend loves it and usually he doesn’t eat anything spicy. Good and must try on the menu! For the rainbow trout with sides, Bonefish’s promise for fresh fish is tasted in the fish. You can taste how fresh it is! The mango salsa was light and perfect since we had some creamier items on the menu for appetizers. Between the two of us we were full from two appetizers and splitting an entrée with out breaking the bank! Can’t wait for the next time we try Bonefish again!

My wife and I visited this Bonefish Grill recently and had a great experience. The food was delicious(Bang Bang Shrimp, Ahi Tuna Sashimi, Chilean Sea Bass, Mahi Mahi) and the service was top-notch. Special thanks to Manager Matthew Ortiz. Herb K

Went here with the family for Christmas dinner and the food was awesome. Everything was just deliciously prepared. The drinks were fabulous. Our waiter was attentive and the service was excellent. In fact my wife had gotten a lobster tail that wasn’t quite up to the bonefish standard that is normally served and they voluntarily offered her a new lobster tail without us even complaining about it. Highly impressed with the service going above and beyond in ensuring patrons are happy. Will definitely return for many more enjoyable meals and service. Love this place.

Delicious and the service was great. I came here last month for lunch with a friend. I had the blackened fish tacos with fries. I also had a craft beer, and for dessert we split a brownie. The brownie was decadent! I could not eat the whole thing, but it was lush! The blackened fish was delicious as well, cooked just right. The only suggestion is to make sure the booth seats are wiped clean in between customers. I hate to have to knock off crumbs before I sit down. We had a coupon, and it was worth the trip. I would return without a coupon. It was good! Oh and the male waiter was funny and great. He was short, glasses in his 30s. I think he had reddish or light colored hair. Maybe his name was Kyle? I can’t remember.

I’ve been here a couple of times since my initial review, and have had lovely meals. 3.5 stars overall. I’d recommend sticking with the classics… the real classics, not the Bonefish classics like the bang bang shrimp(which I find to be far overrated with a gummy breading). I thoroughly enjoy the shrimp & scallops entrée, which I get paired with the jasmine shrimp and whatever veggie sounds good. Other fish entrees are also good — prepared properly and simply. My fav sauce is the herb pesto, which has quite a bit of flavor and a little kick. I haven’t had anything there that will blow your skirt up, but it’s a good, reasonably-priced meal. Service has always been good, and the restaurant itself is comfortable and classy.

Consistently good. Sometimes you just want the assurance of a good meal. Had a tough day?.. Well, come on over, cos this place is reliable and rock solid and besides. they gots wine. Always good food, great service. Reliable and does not disappoint. And sometimes, that is all you want in life. I enjoyed their fresh grilled snapper over Asian sauce. They did such a good job on the fish. Perfectly done.

I had dinner here tonight and the experience was solid, but I don’t think I’d return if I was in Paramus. We arrived early(5:30) so getting a table wasn’t a problem. We were a group of 5 and the service was pretty prompt. I liked the décor of the restaurant, it was large and we didn’t feel crammed at all. They had a great happy hour special til 6(3.50 wine, 4.00 wells), but I wasn’t in the mood. As for the food, I wasn’t about to go to a seafood joint and not order some for my entrée. First, I sampled the tomoato/pepper soup and it was pretty bleh. The bread they brought to the table though was crispy and good(especially with the olive oil). I admit, I was at the dentist earlier getting a cleaning and he used a numbing agent for my gums which wasn’t 100% worn off, so maybe my taste buds weren’t as accurate as normal. I thought the Fish Tacos were on the blander side. I’ve had some really good fish tacos recently, so the bar was set pretty high. My brother agreed. My mom also had an issue with an undercooked burger, so while the trip to Bonefish Grill was nice, it could have certainly been better.

So I came here with my aunt and daughter today expecting to be blown away, didn’t happen… We made a reservation for 6 pm for a booth because my daughter us 3 and it just an easier arrangement for us to sit with her. Well they didn’t have any unless we wanted to wait which we did not. So took a 4 top and sat. We were ok for a bit and then she wanted to get up and run around. So we asked to move to a booth but couldn’t because there were none left. Then one opened up. The hostess told us we couldn’t move bc someone else with a reservation was about to sit at it. So my aunt says well we also had a reservation with a booth request. So somehow she cleared a booth and we sat there. Much better! Our waitress was a doll and very helpful and eager to please. She told us the specials and we put in our drink order. I was happy to learn it was happy hour and ordered a glass of house chardonnay for $ 3.50! Yes you read that right, $ 3.50! I was like oh yea found my new happy hour spot, ha that’s funny, considering I never get out for happy hour lol… And it was a good glass of wine too. We started out with their fresh bread and amazing pesto. Then an order of bang bang shrimp. omg so good! I can eat those little fu**ers all day, everyday! My aunt got the shrimp and scallops. The shrimp was pretty good, the scallops were a bit rubbery though. She got a side of the truffle mac and cheese and it was awfuI! I got the house salad with hearts of palms, Kalamata olives, bleu cheese grumbles, and grilled chicken. It sounded better then it was. It honestly lacked flavor. Even with the house dressing. So I didn’t each much of it. My daughter got the kids chicken fingers and fries. They were ok, nothing spectacular. All in all the food was ok, except. For the shrimp, those were awesome! I’d come back for happy hour. But for $ 20 a plate I don’t think got what we paid for.

Busy place for a Tuesday night with dinner specials. 3 course meals starting at $ 14.99. Had the salmon dinner with house salad and a brownie, all from the gluten free menu! Was a little disappointed with my one side dish as it was kind of all over the plate, otherwise everything was good. Our waitress was so nice and kept returning to see how we were doing. We sat in the dinning room separately from the bar. The bar area had tables that you could also eat at. Pretty packed bar. Martini’s were good.

Well, today I’ve been to Bonefish. I’ve been there several times and I want to give it an average look at this restaurant. The Atmosphere averages around normal. The room is a little dark but manageable. The sound can get a little bit noisy but for the average person it would be also manageable. Due to the Hotel that’s connected to the restaurant it can get very crowded, and I suggest to make reservations.
The staff in general seems to be very good well trained some of them are more friendlier than others and in general all give you a sense of being welcomed. As far as the food is concerned, it is all very well prepared, this is based on several visits within the year. The only thing that I can say that’s negative is that if you’re the type of person who likes a lot of food I would suggest you ask the wait staff to let you know which one of the dishes will give you a little more extra. Like I said before all the dishes that I had as of this year was well prepared . I had a wonderfully prepared dish of fish with shrimp the side dish was jasmine rice and string beans. My friend had shrimp and scallops dish again was well prepared but seem to have less than I had as far as amount. We both enjoyed our dishes but my friend said his dish with slightly warm while mine was hot. In either case I would recommend both the dishes. For dessert my friend and I shared the Jamaican pie we had an expresso for those of you like that. I really recommend that people go to this restaurant is set up for more larger groups if you like but the settings are usually go from groups of two to up to groups of 6 normally again there is another room I could be set up for large groups and the main dining area can also be set up for office groups.

Good food but overpriced for small portions. Always busy and don’t know why but think it is a bar thing. We had steak and the vegetables were non-existent along with a dab of potato. Waiters are off doing something that I wonder about. Stick with appetizers cause the rest is overpriced tiny food. I like Bang Bang Shrimp.

This place can be a hit or miss when it comes to service. Some nights it has taken 30 – 45 minutes between the appetizers we ordered came and when the entrees came. The food is very good and very consistent. We love the fact that they take and honor reservations and I have to say that is one reason why we keep coming back. The best part of the menu is the Mussels Josephine, I can eat this as a whole meal, make sure you get lots of bread and don’t let them take the bowl away until you get every last bit of that delicious sauce out of the plate! Bang Band shrimp seems to be everyone’s favorite. My go to dishes are the Pecan Parmesan Crusted Rainbow Trout or Imperial Longfin. My Dad loves the Caesar Salad and the american Style Kobe Beef Burger, both were great from the tastes he let me have!

Hmm. A solid 3.5 stars. The food here is pretty good for a chain but I always leave with a feeling for something more. Genuinely speaking, the staff is good. I’ve had a horrendous waitress here that made it so I won’t be back. I like the bang bang shrimp and and salmon salad. I’ll be going to the location in nanuet from now on.

If you want an overdose of salt, this is the place for you. Everything, minus the drinks, were salty! Waitress seemed to have a chip on her shoulder. Also, the crabcakes tasted like mush. Undercooked, watery, disgusting. Stay away from those. My medium filet was cooked more like well done. Pass.

Hidden BRUNCH gem! Boozy brunch might i add! Me and a girlfriend came here this past Sunday for their bottomless bubbles brunch. The hours are from 11 – 3 every Sunday. We arrived at about 1 and it was not crowded at all. The price for the unlimited bubbles is 19.9.(good price!) You can either have mimosas, bellinis or the blackberry sangria. We stuck with mimosas the whole time. We ordered the sangria but it was way way too sweet. Melted lollipop status. We started with the imperial dip. Awesome! It had so much fish and cheese in it. It was a perfect way to start the meal. We both ordered omelettes for our main meal. You can either have steamed asparagus or potatoes au gratin for a side. Both of our meals came out great. I ordered the Oscar and my friend had the Cajun shrimp one. Mine had fresh crab meat and asparagus, cheese stuffed inside. So delicious. I had the potatoes for a side and she had the asparagus. The asparagus were huge! Either side would complement your dish well. The service was OK. I believe our server was new and he didn’t bring out the delicious bread with pesto sauce when we first sat down. We had to ask for it about an hour into our meal. But he was quick with refilling our drinks. I will be frequenting this brunch more often to try other dishes and to take advantage of this great deal.

Food was good and fresh. The service was delightful. Overall pleasant experience. It’s affordable as well so if your looking for a little bit nicer than casual bite to eat you should give it a go! All new menu items! The ceviche was delicious and crisp! I also got the ahi tuna steak and my boyfriend got the steak and crab cake. I’ll be back for sure. Wine prices are also more than reasonably priced. Affordable nice dinner out.
