Does oshkosh train their employees to make customers feel as uncomfortable as possible? actually, excuse my plural form on the word«employees.» my experience was with one woman who was tending the cashier. i was there today with my 2 baby cousins and their parents to pick out some shoes for them. oshkosh has a great selection and i was excited to pick out nice summer-y sneakers. in the process of finding the right size, a tiny metal clasp that was loosely hung on the wall fell to the ground. it fell onto the floor out of my reach so i left it as it is and proceeded with my shopping. a second later, this woman from the cash register comes stomping down to the shoe area as if to intentionally let me know that she’s made this mere 8ft trip just to pick up the clasp that was dropped. i was looking in the direction of my baby cousin who was trying on his shoes, and that’s when she went«EXCUSEME,» from behind me, in the snappiest voice i’ve ever heard. this confirmed that all her stomping was not solely due to her immense weight, but because she wanted me to know she had made the trip to pick up the clasp. though it wasn’t my fault, i turned around and apologized because it seemed she was really making an effort to let her presence be known to me. then on her way back to the cash register, she saw my uncle helping my baby cousin put on his shoes while crouching down on a low white platform. she turns to him and goes«please don’t sit on that.» and walks away. okay, got it. heard you once. she takes 1 step away and goes«those things can break.» understood. we apologize that my uncle rested his buttocks for a mere 20 seconds to help his son try on some shoes. another step away, she goes«it is not a chair.» now this is getting really fxxking annoying. another step away and she’s almost back at the cash register where she was watching over us like a hawk from the moment we entered, and she goes«thats where we put the displays.» first of all, if there were any displays on the damn platform, my uncle probably would not have crouched on top of it. secondly, can someone explain to me why this woman felt the need to repeat herself in 4 separate comments as if talking to an autistic child? obviously this was a clear reflection on how poorly oshkosh trains their employees on proper customer service. i would’ve lodged a proper complaint had oshkosh made that kind of contact info readily available on its website to its customers but i am left with no choice but to announce it in my very public Unilocal review: i am extremely unhappy and dissatisfied with the way we were treated by the cashier that was tending the register earlier today, on 7⁄14 at around 6 p.m. that is NOT the way you treat your customers and an ABSOLUTELYUNACCEPTABLE way to speak to them. It seems she is miserable at her job because she seemed super annoyed by the kids in the store– mind you, a store that sells KIDS’ apparel. Until you guys straighten out your customer service, i will not be paying another visit there and, believe me, i will go out of my way to spread the word to people to steer clear of this store. NASTY!
