My husband attended Art Center many years ago as well as taught there. We keep coming back because they are one of only two stores that carry the ink for our Epson Stylus printer. I appreciate the kind and helpful staff every time I am there.

I’m an Art Center alumni, and I’ve been patronizing their student store now for over a decade! Even though it may look small, it’s packed wall to wall with great supplies that cater to all different types of disciplines. And since they mainly sell to students, their prices are fairly competitive. The one product I’ve been coming back for since graduating are their wood panels. You can order them to any custom size you’d like, and it only takes a 1 – 2 week turn around time to have it done. The last time I was there, I saw that they added to their wood selection for the panels, allowing for more color choices between dark or light grained woods. I’ve had to interact with them on the phone every now and then, and customer service has always been on point. And when I’ve been in the store, their staff has only been helpful and friendly when dealing with my questions. So glad to still see it running strong after all these years!

Great people with awesome selections. If you are a student, the staff appreciates when you bring in your syllabi and let them make copies. They use these to look at the projects you will have to do and try to order enough of your supplies before you need them. Faculty don’t always let them know what supplies they are requiring or when they are going to send all their students in to buy something so this helps them avoid selling out of the stuff we need. They offer 20% discount on all their art supplies and do full refunds if you keep them unopened and/or in good condition. Just keep your receipt and do it within 30 days. They have book buyback and they are good about telling you if they can buy the book back for higher prices during finals and let you decide if you want to wait a bit. They have a lot of used books sometimes and even text rental so it makes sense to buy some books in here. They are an Apple campus store so if you are enrolled you get great savings on laptops and desktops. They also sell Adobe software and Wacom tablets. The staff is friendly and they try hard to find you an answer to your questions. They even use the apple demo laptops to help you google stuff that might help you. They help you to your car when you buy something huge or heavy and even let us have cardboard boxes when they can spare them. They have a large selection of pens, copic markers, brushes, paints, mediums, papers, inkjet paper, portfolios, and they even sell cute Avanti greeting cards. They also sell snacks and some basic toilettries. The fact that you can buy single sheets of a lot of their paper and pads is great. If you are not a student, they still give you the discount. So many of us never carry our student ID so they just stopped asking for it. They stay open later for finals sometimes. If you are just going to campus for the store there is a 20 minute parking lot in the first parking lot that is super close to the store. Or you can park in the student parking and tour the campus, too.

meh. It’s pretty good price for what they have, comparing with blicks. They don’t have everything but they have most things you can work with.

I’m a recent grad and I shudder everytime I set foot on this campus, but what keeps me coming back is the student store. They’ve seriously got the biggest pen selection I’ve ever seen. Like pens you never even know existed from far away lands all bunched up in bins for you to try out on little scraps of paper. They also have the biggest collection of Epson and other inkjet papers I’ve ever seen. This is also the only art supply store that I know of where you can buy single sheets of any any type of paper, which comes in real handy when you only need a few sheets from an expensive marker vellum pad or whatever. And during the first week of each term everything(except computers of course) are 25−30% off. And the people there are really nice and helpful too. It’s located across from the cafeteria all the way at the opposite end of the campus from the main parking lot.

I like that they carry different formats of inkjet photo paper and dry adhesive. The entrance is upstairs from faculty/visitor parking. They have Japanese brand pens if you’re not willing to look for animation supplies around the Fashion District or Santee Alley. They’ve also got different sizes of wooden panels(special order available). There’s a discount applied at the register so I don’t really pay the sticker price.
