Very happy and will be back. I had the bbq butter shrimp, which was delicious along with a blackened halibut, baked potato and cole slaw, which is different and delicious. I also had a wonderful and attentive waitress.

I got a response from my first review from the owner at Cameron’s that was thoughtful and polite. This is a local restaurant, so I went back because I feel the staff is excellent, and I can see that the management does care to put out a quality item. I do still feel that without ruining or overcomplicating things, Cameron’s could work on their menu to be simple but more delicious for the prices that they charge but I do feel this is a chill place with stellar staff to have some beers and eat some fish. I will continue to go here in hopes that they will work on their menu to either a) lower the prices and change nothing, or b) keep the prices the same and up their game. I do recommend going here nevertheless. good people. good atmosphere.

Camerons restaurant is my favorite place in Pasadena. Super easy parking, freshest seafood around, great atmosphere and excellent service. I usually start with calamari, order the special, and split my desert with someone. Surprisingly they also have the best sliders ever.

Jeff had excellent service. He was quick with us and notice he had about 4 – 5 tables but still fast. Great customer service. Good food, first time here and I enjoyed it.

Cameron’s has changed up the menu and it is really an improvement. They now have a soup of the day. The old standbys of Manhattan or New England Clam Chowder are both great but the addition of a soup of the day is an added bonus if you like soups. I had the chicken tortilla soup and it as good as I’ve had at any Mexican restaurant. Last night we started with the shrimp cocktail. 6 big shrimps on a bed of ice with cocktail sauce. I requested a little horseradish to spice up the sauce. It was perfect. My guests had the calimari and it was lightly battered and there wasn’t any left on the plate. Did I mention that Cameron’s has hired a new chef? His name is Rick and he’s really coming up with some new ideas for the«specials.» My guests had the Chilean Sea Bass and Almond Crusted Trout. The portions for both were very generous. They also got two sides. There wasn’t anything left on their plates when they were done. I had the Crab Cioppino. I got it with the linguini in the broth. The portion was huge and I wound up taking home half of it. We finished off the meal with their chocolate molten lava cake and three spoons. It was a great finish to a great meal. JEFF was our server and he was very attentive. The bartender was Kim and she came up with a Strawberry Tequila Sunrise blended and it was perfect. I’ll be going back to Cameron’s again soon!

I loved this place, it was so nostalgic maybe from the 50’s. The Mexican shrimp and calamari were cooked to perfection… With fettuccini noodles. Butter garlic sauce… skewers of shrimp and calamari and halibut. Is your mouth watery… That’s how good. I read the other reviews and was surprised at some of the negative feedback, we went beyond the reading and checked it out ourselves and were pleasantly surprised

I’ll start off with the food here, it’s tastes great. My favorite dish is probably the clam chowder, you can’t go wrong with some good clam chowder also there salmon and halibut are amazing. I would give them 5 stars if the service was a bit better.

I ordered two California Rolls, to go; waited 29 minutes. Once I got home I found rolls of rice stuffed with tarter sauce. I went back to restaurant to return the(California Rolls), I was offered no explanation, no refund or a credit. Very over priced, slow service on a slow day. As I sat on the wooden bench waiting, I saw two employees walk up to the register complaining about customers. Cameron’s looks very nice inside yet that’s the end of the show.

Only grabbed some mussels and clams from there but I must say they were pretty good quality. What I appreciated the most was the enthusiasm of the staff to ensure I got what I needed no matter how little or how much. It was a good experience overall

What happened Cameron’s? You used to be one of our favorite seafood places! The quality of the food has really gone down– even the display case in the front has some pretty tired looking seafood. The food is definitely not worth the prices. This is to bad– the service was good and we love the décor. We’ll be happy to give it another chance if we see any good reviews that are current.

Now and then, I enjoy a change of flavor. Cameron’s gives me a chance to have some old style flavors that I don’t always find. Love the Oysters Rockefeller here. It was hot with plenty of cheese and fresh taste. Tried the clam chowder, and at the suggestion of the server, i experemented with a 50⁄50(Manhattan and New England). This combination was great. As Entrees, both the Grilled Salmon and the Scallop dinners were moist and cooked to perfection. Love the new soup of the day selection. The staff was attentive throughout our dining experience. Drinks were tasty and worth the price. Ambience is old school wood with beach/sea motif, and comfortable. Nice bar with tv’s and tables for dinner. Costumers were an older, established, regular Pasadena crowd. I wish they were open later at night.

The best part was the server JEFF! Extremely accommodating with great suggestions. Food: There was a group of us so we tried a lot of items. Appetizers: Lobster mac n cheese, wedge salad, fish tacos. A few of us liked the lobster mac n cheese. I usually don’t add salt to my food but the mac n cheese needed it. Nothing special about the wedge salad, it was fine. The Fish tacos had what looked like cheap 99cent shredded cheddar. Not sure who came up with this recipe. Entrees: the mixed grill skewer, soy scallop special„ garlic shrimp, sand dabs, crab cioppino, and the linguine and clams. EVERYTHING on the mixed skewer was overcooked and dry. All of the scallops were like rubber as well as the shrimp(which were tiny). The sand dabs were swimming in at least 3TB of liquid butter, and the linguine had no flavor! Our friend really enjoyed the size and flavor of the cioppino. The sides were reminiscent of sizzler in 1983. Rice pilaf was average and tasted like«uncle ben’s instant rice». I must say we all agreed the mashed potatoes were good! A great redeeming value. Dessert: Chocolate lava cake with ice cream and whipped cream. The presentation was a disaster. The cake, ice cream and whipped cream left nothing to the imagination. Take three items from a local grocery store and put it on a plate. Give a 5 year old some caramel and chocolate syrup and let them go wild. That’s what this looked like. Place: Maybe its nostalgic of me, but I love the décor in here. I am sad to say its the end of an era. From the silver containers they serve their condiments in, to the mediocre menu. All would be fine if the plates were $ 12 average. But they ranged from $ 18 — $ 28. Its a beautiful space and really wished the owners would hire a new creative chef to give it the face lift it needs.

Wow, the owner’s glib comment speaks for itself. That is precisely the attitude which makes this restaurant a total loser. He’s obviously not happy that I didn’t respond to his PM plea for me to reconsider my review. For the record, I put the scallop onto an empty plate to photograph it. And I stand behind every single word of my review.

Cameron’s is nothing short of amazing! Excellent food cooked to order. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. If they don’t know the answer to a food related question until they can research the issue, and then give full honest answers. Their cocktails are big and mixologists knowledgeable. I think farm-raised salmon is unhealthy because of all the antibiotics and miticides used to kill the ticks and mites in the crowded pen. The medicated food escapes the pens as do the salmon infecting the wild salmon and other species and the ecosystem. Agribusiness is now lobbying extensively to permit GMO’s in farmed salmon production. While Cameron’s is emphatic about selling fresh fish they agreed last year to try fresh frozen at sea salmon. It was wonderful. But, when the fresh came in in May, it was even better.

Cameron’s is a nice seafood restaurant. I found the food to be average. If you’re not adventurous and like pretty mild menu choices I think that this is the place for you. I tried the sole filet dinner with baked potato and steamed veggies. It wasn’t bad but if I go back I may try something else. Overall, the service is not bad and is a place to keep in mind to take/or suggest to friends that have a hard time trying new things but want to think they are.

Can you find somewhere else to go for your fish? If so, go there. This place was recommended by a friend and I’ll have a talk with her about that. The most mediocre meal I’ve had in quite awhile. I wasn’t getting reception so couldn’t look it up on Unilocal or I probably wouldn’t have come here. I was looking forward to a nice piece of sea bass but that’s not what I got. I wanted everything without a lot of butter on it. The seabass came out wet… like not cooked enough. Yuck. Sent it back. It came back a little more cooked but all broken up in pieces, and the flavor just wasn’t good. The veggies were dry and tasteless. I took a couple of bites and reached for the bread. Just couldn’t eat it. My companion’s halibut was blackened and didn’t even look like halibut. She said it was ok but nothing to write home about. The place itself is really cute; lots of booths and fish-type memorabilia on the walls. And the service was really good, I must say. But that didn’t help the fact that the food was pretty awful. Also, the first cup of coffee we were served was lukewarm. Asked for a new cup and the server made a fresh pot. Unfortunately, their coffee leaves a lot to be desired. Very weak. So that’s the last time this place will see me. Was craving the salmon at Palm Restaurant downtown. Sorry but I don’t like mediocre food. They did have a big buffet and most of the people were there for that. Didn’t try it, don’t want to.

This is one of the few good, non-chain seafood around. They always have a good selection of fresh fish(not just over-priced farmed tilapia and salmon, like many chain places). It’s pricey(average $ 20 to $ 30 per person), but worth it. Their dishes aren’t trendy or experimental… just good, fresh fish, shellfish and side dishes(I love their cole slaw). It’s what Seafood Broiler and Market Broiler used to be before Red Lobster took over. In addition to an extensive menu, they also have a full bar. The décor is conservative and classy, and has hardly changed since I first started going there in the late 80’s(which I find comforting). I would have given them 5 stars except for two minor issues I had with my last visit: my dirty martini($ 13) was way too dirty… could hardly taste the Bombay Sapphire, and the grilled shrimps weren’t very flavorful. Still, I wish I could afford to eat here more often!

I haven’t been here for about 6 years and someone reminded me about it. Since I was in the area I decided .WHYNOT. let’s give it a try again. Hmm.where do I start. It was like NOTHING like i remember. I ordered the calamari, mahi mahi tacos and the clam chowder. The calamari! Boring! The batter had no flavor and when they brought the sauces out they brought salsa. SALSA.really. I had to ask for some cocktail sauce and the waitress seemed shocked that I dare ask for it. No matter the amount of lemon I put on it it didn’t help. Clam Chowder — The presentation looked really nice. The way the soup was over spilling on the sides of the cup made you want to dive in and eat it up. However, once you did you wish you didn’t. It was plain and flavorless. I never added salt /pepper to any of my soups but I felt like this one needed it. I was so turned off that I lost my appetite. Mahi Mahi Tacos — How do you go wrong? Salsa, lemon and cheese makes any taco great you would think. But once again the fish had no flavor like they forgot about the seasoning. Everything was wrong. This is not how I remember this place however, it’s been years and my taste buds have improved since then. I would not recommend this to anyone unless you like flavorless, bland and boring food.

The reviews for this place seem a bit lower than what it should reflect. Truth is the price and location is ideal for folks living in Pasadena area. I can see this as our seafood destination for week night dinners. The staff are very welcoming and attentive to our table. The environment here is very fun with a mix of different ages, families etc. In terms of the food I will definitely come back they do offer many great seafood plates. From your fried favorites, to the grilled kebobs, this place has it. We had the grilled shrimp, fish and chips and they were average but good. We also tried both of the clam chowders and would say the Manhattan style was better. We will be back soon for some oysters and lobster.

Went to dinner at Camerons Seafood last night and it was amazing. The food was delicious. My only comment is that the Waitress had to ask the manager if she could give us all separate checks. We were a group of five. And she said individual checks were not possible. But then she came back and said that she talked to the Manager and he said it was okay to do separate checks since they were not busy. Come on, that is just good customer service. And in this computerized age, if the table tells you before they place their orders, it should be no problem. But I am glad they were finally okay to give us separate checks. The waitress actually was very nice to us throughout our meal. There are so many items on the menu it was difficult to choose. I got the Halibut and Salmon Skewers with baked potato and steamed vegetables. Very good. Delicious glass of wine. One friend got the appetizer of Guacamole — big chunks of avocado. One friend got the Bacon Wrapped Scallop Skewers. One friend got the White fish and pasta special. Another friend the Stuffed Salmon special. Everyone loved their food. It was all so good, we even decided to ask for dessert. It is not listed on the menu. But the Waitress brought over a sampler platter to view. One friend got the Crème Brulee which she loved. And another friend got the New York Cheesecake — and I couldn’t resist and took a few bites. That has to be one of the best cheesecakes I have ever tasted ! I decided for my dessert — I had to try one of their Martinis. I got a Tropical Coconut Pineapple Martini. Wow — it was delicious ! I am so glad I tried it. This is such a great place. I was saying I have to go back and try more items. I would love to try the Sunday Brunch as well. The food, drinks and desserts were all outstanding.
