I’ve been coming to this location for a long time, the hostess and servers have always been friendly and attentive but this location and standard is in need of an overhaul. They are in a very industrial part of Pasadena but there’s a dullness about this location, in the restaurant and servers while away from the customers that require some changes. The food was hot and tasty and my coffee cup was always full but the servers were complaining within earshot of us that made the experience less than mediocre.

So I have had food picked up or delivered a few times food is ok if your starving and don’t want jack in the box at 2 am. Although after seeing one of the delivery drivers scratch her private part then grab someone else’s food. Will never order from this place again.

Do not get the delivery here. Orders are always slapped together with missing ingredients. Fries are always cold and served with a poor attitude. There are plenty of places better than this.

Our server was AWESOME! That is the only reason this place got any stars. The other servers had no smile and acted like the customers were an inconvenience. Irma was our server. Even the manager looked like they were bothering her. Most of all, this place was slow. Food was good, but Denny’s always is!

Nothing special. Food is mediocre, service is minimal. It’s a diner so don’t expect much besides eating and leaving.

Visited for breakfast on a recent Sunday morning. The hostess seated my friend and I at a dirty table. Then we had to wait far too long t get coffee while looking at the menu. We were seated in view of the grill, and our order sat for over five minutes before it was brought to our table, by which time the food was cold. The T-bone steak ordered with breakfast was over cooked, ordered English muffin only to receive white toast. The restrooms were very dirty and there is an open hole in the wall behind the door. I remember when this was a nice Denny’s. The service was fair at best and the food not up too the standard I expect from this chain.

This was once a very good Denny’s location and it as really gone down in the past few years. Seems like another Denny’s I have gone to is doing the same thing. Not sure what’s going on with Denny’s, but after today’s visit, I won’t be going to them any longer. We arrived at the restaurant and waited almost 15 minutes to be seated. There were six people in the restaurant at the time, between them, using only three tables. I saw several tables that still had dishes left from previous customers. These tables were still not cleared when we were leaving the restaurant. When the waitress FINALLY seated us and took our drink order, I told her I would have coffee IF it was not strong, otherwise I would have hot tea. My coffee arrived very strong. When questioned about it, she said«That is our mild coffee». I sure would hate to see what their strong version was. The mild could almost burn a hole into the spoon. My daughter ordered orange juice. The waitress cam back and said they didn’t have any. Then she asked for apple juice. Waitress came back and said they didn’t have any. I was wondering at this point ‘Does she know ANYTHING? I finally asked her, well what do you have? She responded with«We don’t have juice»… hmm. OK… you DON’T have juice, but WHATDOYOU have? MY daughter finally said, ‘Just bring me hot tea.” You would think when she went to check on orange juice, she would have checked the others and come back to tell us what they do have to offer. I was never asked if I wanted a refill on coffee or if I wanted anything else to drink. My daughter’s hot tea only came as a cup of hot water and a tea bag. They use to also bring a canister with an extra cup so you could have a second cup. Not here. And again, she was never asked if she needed more hot water. Then we began to order when I felt like walking out. My daughter had a build your own slam. She said it was ok. Nothing spectacular, but it was edible. She had hash browns, pancakes, sausages and bacon. I had the biscuits and sausage gravy that included eggs and hash browns. It was all mediocre. The gravy, I felt, tasted funny. I let my daughter try it and she said it seemed ok. It just needed something… not sure what because I did add salt when the meal came to the table. We never were checked on. Never asked if we were doing ok or if we needed anything. maybe refills? There was once a maybe 30 – 35 year old tall, larger black man who was a manager there, and for the life of me I can’t remember his name, but when he was there everything was perfect and if it wasn’t, he made sure it was perfect by the time we left. Everything has gone down hill since we left. BTW, our waitress today was Irma.

Ordered the chicken fried steak it’s not fresh.. it’s frozen. If I wanted a frozen dinner I would of stayed home. Service is slow and to lay back. Took more then 30 minutes for two plates to come out. Note it was not busy at all. There was only four other tables. Maybe I just came at the wrong time«7pm». Most times we come for breakfast and services is extremely better.

This Denny’s is what you would expect for it’s location, which is just off of 225 in a heavy industrial part of town. The food is medium and the restaurant is disgusting… dirty bathrooms and just a general griminess everywhere. The saving grace for the 3-star rating comes with the service. I always find the wait staff to be very friendly and attentive. BOTTOMLINE: The only place to eat around here. Descent food, great service, nasty building.

Cons: Rarely get good service Crappy Restrooms(I speak for the women, I’ve never been inside the Men’s) Hit or Miss food quality As you probably noticed, I do not particularly care for this location, but I always go here whenever my husband is in the mood for Denny’s and we’re too lazy to drive too far. I’ve had many bad experiences and very few good ones of this location. It could be the fact that I’m always there late nights with the times ranging from 11pm to 3am. Most of the servers we’ve gotten always miss something on our order, so we usually have to call them down for it. For refills as well, this is not the place in which you can count on them giving you a refill when you’re low on your drink. The food is not always fresh either, especially the vegetables. *shudder* I had ordered a salad a couple of times and there are a few wilted leaves here and there and one time I took a bite into a piece of cucumber that was a bit sour, which I promptly spat out. Some of the fried foods there are either fried just about right or over fried, which is not very tasty at all. The women’s restroom is just gross most of the time and there’s usually something wrong with or something missing. Missing toilet paper, paper towels, or most recently a broken toilet paper holder cover that keeps falling. I only come here when the spouse and I are hungry late at night and can’t be bothered to cook and don’t want fast food. It’s not too horrible as long as I don’t use the restroom and order any dishes with fresh veggies. I’m not sure about how the service is in the daytime but I wouldn’t be holding my breath.

I know some people don’t like Denny’s, but I do. I went to lunch there recently and was pleasantly surprised to see their new $ 2, $ 4, $ 6, $ 8 menu. Yes, you guessed it! They have dishes at those prices, which you can purchase all day long. I just love that Denny’s tries to keep things affordable, and they definitely succeed! I ended up buying from the regular menu and it still was very inexpensive. This place is in Pasadena, but surprisingly enough it still holds to Denny’s standards. The employees were nice. The restaurant seemed clean and the Food was very good! I had a chicken soup, which was so good! I also had the Huevos Rancheros and an Iced tea. My brother had the BBQ sandwich off of the $ 6 menu. I enjoyed my food very much. This place is a little too far from my office for me to go to lunch on a regular day, but if you work or live close by. it’s worth the try!
