Not a good experience at all. The two stars are given because it has an ideal location and is not a busy business… you can get in and out quickly… plus they have a nice front office. I was referred to this location because Kaiser sends patients to get their hearing tests. I went because I had two hearings aids in need of repair. No pleasant greetings when you walk in. They have a young receptionist who is all business and hands you the clip board with papers to fill out. Return them and you are called in immediately… it is a nice office, very clean with good magazines and nice little treats to munch on while waiting a few minutes. Unfortunately when you get called in, the audiologist is not very nice. I showed her my aids and she made, literally, a huge face, crinkling her face up and just making a huge deal about them. I told her she was being rude and she got full of attitude about it. Very unprofessional. She quickly did the hearing test and then quoted a ridiculous price for one of the aids and never even addressed the other one, which I have since found out from a different hearing center, Alhambra Hearing Aid Center, was very easy to fix because it was just the mold that had to be replaced for a mere $ 100. She never even tested the aids to see if they were working, the way the later audiologist in Alhambra did, and so she did not fully see what was wrong with it. The aid was in working condition, but just needed the mold replaced. I found out via a phone call to make a complaint, that this audiologist has no on site supervisor. It is so small, they only have off site supervision, which to me explains why she knows she can treat anyone as rude as she pleases. I complained to Kaiser and was able to follow up to get two brand new aids out of the Claremont location, which is much better, larger, and nicer. The fact that I had to get my service elsewhere because the Pasadena HearUSA/hearX was unable to due to both a much higher cost and a very unprofessional audiologist who failed to fully assess the aids, shows me that this location is not the best to go to when in need of aid repair or new purchases.
