Hm… Hm??? Hm… Okay bye So not worth the money. I don’t know why anyone would pay for a sandwich here. I would rather eat at Jersey Mike’s or Subway. I can put some mayo and put some ham at home. Never again.

The bread smells divine, and they make the sandwiches super quick. The meat was fresh and bread was soft. But then I saw the photo of the namesake smiling next to a dead elephant he’d just shot. Horrendous! I’ll never eat at another one again!

***Jimmy John’s is an okay fast food sub sandwich shop that is better than Subway though not as good as Jersey Mike’s; prices are decent and service is quick*** Street parking is available.

If there’s a super great something about this place it’s definitely the bread. The bread has a great fresh taste with suppleness that can be mistaken for a moist fluffy pillow that’s edible. The first time I had it, I immediately wished my grandma was still alive so I can make a torta using their bread and her beans. That combo would’ve stopped traffic and Unilocalers alike, I’m not lying. Their meats are tasty and they’re not extremely cold, which I like. Nothing is more of a turnoff than eating super cold-cold meats that your tastebuds can’t even register as flavorful food. My only negative critique about this place is that it’s a tad on the pricey side for a sandwich and the staff, though super efficient, are all work and no charm. I don’t need them to be my bestie or anything but at least Subway Jared was… okay…anyone is better than that creep.

Subway with a different name. To many better sandwich shops in Pasadena; Pasadena sandwich co., Europane, «The Hat», Lemonade…

Jersey Mike’s is waaaaay better. Very nice people working here and the place is clean, but the sandwich is just ok. The bread in the highlight of the sandwich and you can get sprouts. Oh and there no hot sandwiches on the menu!!! The sandwich I had, doesn’t have too much flavor. I have no clue what these 5 star people are talking about. I’m about flavor not nostalgia. Trust none of the 5 star people. Keep Unilocalin Unilocalers

I have become big fan of your ‘#6 Veggie sandwich with brown bread and sprouts added’ after my spouse introduced me to this. Just one question, why is the AC kept at such a low temperature always that someone might freeze to death. Please look into the temperature control otherwise I see no reason to not to revisit JJ. Also why is the service so slow at this place as compared to other JJ. Now that I read about JJ owner it breaks my heart. :’(Please stop killing.

I’m from Illinois and I’ve been eating the sandwiches since I was 13. This spot is doing them perfectly and the staff is really friendly! Definitely going here for a great sandwich and grab a pickle for side!

I had to get a quick bite for lunch and I don’t know why I wanted a sandwich. I think I ordered the roast beef sandwich. It was okay for what it was. I’ve had better but I thought I’d give it a try.

HOLYHEAVENLYSIMPLESANDWICH!!! I love this place! I had heard for years from my fiancé about this place as apparently it is huge in the midwest. The Turkey Tom is my go to… I add sprouts and I even get it with mayo which is rare since I’m not a big mayo fan, but THIS mayo is Hellmans mayo… yes please! The bread is delicious and the lettuce crisp. I get mine with the hot peppers and get a pickle on the side… yummy!!! Free Smells, but pay for the sandwich you won’t be disappointed

For a quick lunch we decided to grab a sandwich and we saw Jimmy John’s. I had never tried them before, so where to eat was decided. I think that the Tuna with sprouts(which was what I ordered) was a good solid sandwich, but nothing spectacular. The customer service was on par with… maybe, In-N-Out… It’s really busy, but it still has a friendly atmosphere. This is a compliment. I LOVE In-N-Out. For a chain, it’s pretty good, I’d rather come here over Panera Bread or Subway.

Yes, they are fast, but I really do think that could happen at other sandwich places too if they didn’t ask you a single question about what you want in your sandwich. I paid with a card and before the girl at the register handed me my receipt, they were already handing my sandwich to me. I didn’t quite expect that but okay, let’s move on. Initially, I didn’t like the bread. it was kind flat for a sandwich roll and a little too smooth and almost plasticky. The more I ate it the more it did start to taste like bread, but still not the best bread. Everything else inside was passable. Overall it was not a particularly memorable sandwich. Would I go again? It would be more likely if I only had like 4 minutes for lunch. But I think I would not mind trying a couple other things on the menu.

Prittay, prittay, prittay, prittay good. The bread is soft and chewy, and works nicely for containing all the meats. Some sandwich places use a harder loaf that tastes more like an authentic Italian bread, but the meat always ends up sliding around. And god forbid you get avocado, it makes sandwich eating impossible. I got the Italian Night Club, and the cold cuts were definitely of a decent quality. Lots of flavor there. The tomatoes, however, we’re egregiously mealy. A huge pet peeve of mine. I had to take off all the tomato, and I think it affected the overall taste. All in all, totally a spot id return to if it was lunch and I saw one around. I know they deliver(even small orders) so it’d be cool to see one open within delivery distance of me… Because I can’t think of a single sandwich spot that delivers.

After hearing raves about this place from friends in different states, I was excited to find out they would be coming to Pasadena. I’m gonna keep this quick and fast, just like their service. I love me a great sub. Their’s is pretty good. Nicely thin sliced Deli meats and cheeses. I had the Beach Club which is basically your turkey and avocado sub but with cucumber for a nice refreshing compliment. The bread was a plain white roll that I think could use improvement. As other’s have mentioned, they really are impressive on speed. The sub was done before I could grab a table. Also great service by employees. It was a good quick experience. There are better sandwiches to be found in Pasadena though. I’d only recommend this place if you’re in a hurry or want them to deliver to you. Additional note, I’d skip on adding bacon next time. It’s $ 1.75, mediocre pre-cooked bacon and I didn’t really notice any taste of it in my sub. Also, they go a little heavy on the mayo. That’s fine with me, but for those that aren’t, it is something to keep in mind. I’m torn between 3 and 4 stars and should make another visit before posting this, but 3 stars for now.

FAST and friendly service, clean restaurant, big filling portions, unremarkable palatability, lousy parking availability. Read on for more details … PARKING — — — — - It was completely impossible for me to find a free parking spot on the curb anywhere near Jimmy John’s, so I went ahead and parked in the big public lot just southeast of Lake/Cordova. If you search long enough, you should always be able to find at least one free spot there. FOOD — — — I ordered a JJ Gargantuan sandwich(salami, ham, roast beef, turkey, provolone, onions, mayo, lettuce, tomato). It was massive, and they did not skimp on the meat portions either. Unfortunately, I was disappointed to find out the bread of the sandwich was on the«hard» side … it wasn’t nearly as bad as that atrociously rigid French bread that you will get with your typical Vietnamese Bánh mì sandwich, but it still left much to be desired(the crust was also waxy too, for some reason). While not bad tasting, the JJ Gargantuan could not hold a candle to the sandwich I use as a standard by which to judge all other sandwiches … the FarmerBoys Hearty Club sandwich, which not only offers conspicuously higher-quality(artisan) bread, but a more flavorful overall taste, for some reason. I hate to say it(because I don’t want to sound mean), but the sandwich offered by Jimmy John’s tastes bland in comparison. I did also try one of their Triple Chocolate Chunk cookies, and it was actually pretty good, and made a better impression on me than their sandwich did. SERVICE — — — — - The staff was friendly and helpful, and they prepared the sandwich with *record* speed(I’ve never seen a sandwich made faster anywhere else). I can’t say anything bad about the good folks at Jimmy John’s at all. ADDITIONALNOTES — — — — — — — — — – The restaurant interior was notably clean and well-maintained … I didn’t see a single rat or roach frantically scurrying across my path. The restaurant appears to use softer bread on their«Giant Club Sandwiches» … they would probably be a better choice if, like me, you don’t like bread that rates in the double digits on the Brinell scale.

Super simple sandwich with good quality bread. My friend from the Midwest sort of raved about this place so I decided to check it out since I was next door. I opted for the #4 turkey sub which consisted of mayo, tomatoes, provolone cheese, turkey and shredded lettuce — that’s it! I added mustard & pepper to it which made it much better and less boring. They make it at lightning speed & it seems like they’re known for that. I hadn’t even paid yet & my sandwich was already done. I’m all for speed but it’s almost worrisome. Chips were branded Jimmy Johns although I’m sure someone else makes them. Either way, they were pretty good, more crunchy than normal kettle cooked chips. The bread was what made this sandwich good but it was no Capriotti’s. I love sandwiches so if I had to rank in order of worst to best it would be: 1.Subway 2. Tie between Jersey Mike’s & Togo’s 3. Jimmy John’s 4. Capriotti’s

SERVICE: Super friendly, and super fast! They were not kidding when they say one of their specialties is the speed in which a sandwich is made. We barely paid, got our beverage cups, and didn’t even make our way to the beverage machine(which is like…8 feet away from the cash register) and our sandwiches were called. MADE, WRAPPEDTIGHT and READY to eat! WHAT!!! We weren’t even sure if it was ours for a moment! FOOD: Here I go being the party pooper again. So I wanted to see what the hype was all about and I guess I missed something, because it seemed like only a slightly better than average sub. Yes, it beats subway, and I’d have to say it’s kind of head to head(maybe slightly better) than Jersey Mike’s…but still, I wasn’t as impressed as I thought I’d be. However, the 8 inch subs were big for the price! Both boyfriend and I were very satisfied(full) after our lunch! I ordered #1. Pepe… it wasn’t bad. I have to say that the bread is was perfect in texture. Not too soft, not to firm. I felt like the smoked ham somewhat lacked in taste. I feel like I should’ve gotten the italian one or even the bacon one. Good, but not the best. Boyfriend ordered #2. Big John(with cheese)…I tried it and I liked it better than Pepe as the roast beef definitely added more taste. Good, but again, not the best I’ve had. PARKING: Pasadena always has some terrible parking. Especially it being on lake. We were lucky to find a perfect 1 our spot on a small side street. FINALVERDICT: I’d like to come back here in the future. Definitely won’t order the 1st2 again, but if I’m in the area and need something quick… Jimmy John’s is the place to be!

A friend, upon hearing that a Jimmy John’s had come to LA(or rather Pasadena) squealed in delight. I figured I had to give it a shot. I opted for a no. 2 with cheese($ 6), a small roast beef sandwich they’ve given a silly name and then asked for a no. 11 with swiss, a turkey and ham number with slightly less silly name($ 7.50). «Provolone ok?» «I guess.» After a little investigating it appears that the appeal of Jimmy John’s was that that make sandwiches super fast. «If you need a sandwich in like, two minutes, Jimmy John’s is your place!» When I asked how two minutes versus, I don’t know the three minutes it might take at some other place might affect my life as a whole, I’m not sure I was given a satisfactory answer. I then saw a note about delivery. Ah, I thought. «You like Jimmy John’s because they will bring you a sandwich, don’t you?» «Yea, and they deliver the sandwiches insanely fast too!» In hindsight, driving out of my way to go to a place whose claim to fame appears to be delivery seems a bit much. My friend agreed it was«A good, simple sandwich» and I did as well, though I’m not sure it is the ‘world’s greatest gourmet sandwich’ as they themselves declare. They keep the ingredients simple, only one cheese as far as I can tell and that should help with making the sandwich process as fast as possible. I do agree the bread is good and fresh, but I was a little letdown with the meats. They were pretty average. There appears to be a lot of focus on smoked this or fresh sliced that, but it all came out fairly average. I expected a little more from something called a ‘giant club sandwich’ and coming in close to $ 8, I’ll tell you that. I imagine a little bit of a following is at play here… It is funny that this location is situated nearly across the street from a Jersey Mike’s, a place so similar as to make the situation almost ridiculous. I don’t frequent Mike’s much, but I might prefer it. That said there I tend to have trouble getting the order right, which adds to my time.
