Kavern Snow Syrup

Best snowballs in the Pasadena-​Severna Park-​Arnold area!
I have been going to Kavern since I was in elementary school. They have the best shaved ice, and the best flavors. Plus they offer cream, marshamallow, and chocolate toppings… as well as an option to make your dessert a sno-​shake?! Whatever that is.
I am not very adventurous, so I opt for an Old Fashioned Egg Custard every time. I would definitely suggest you try it… but they have about a million flavors. I wish I was brave enough to try Pokemon, but I am not.
This is also my favorite place to grab a Malt. Who even serves Malted Milkshakes anymore? 1960s soda shoppes? So delicious.
Also, if you’re starting a side business, or you got a snowcone machine as a wedding present, you should get your syrups here. Tons of flavor options. A plus, gold star!

This is my absolute favorite snowball destination, and has been since I was a kid. Sure, there are stands on every corner that are way more convenient, but I make the drive to this place anyway (otherwise, if I’m in a rush, the Hawaiian stand in Glen Burnie is ace as far as stands go). It’d make sense that it’d be great; Kavern is the company that snowball stands usually get their supplies from. Still, they offer a list of flavors that eclipses any snowball stand, along with a few fabulous toppings. It’s one drawback used to be the lack of acceptance for debit/​credit cards, but now they do accept them, score!
They have a cute little indoor seating area, as well as a nice, tree-​shaded outside area. The staff is polite and patient when you’re mulling over your choice, and they also offer ice cream!

They now allow credit cards! :-)
