You could never go wrong with monta and su-Beurag, the best in town. As a gourmet cook, I know that both of these dishes are labor intensive, and it is so nice that you can conveniently get these dishes without having to spend a day in the kitchen. If you have never tried it yet, I strongly recommend that you do, and I am sure you will be back for more.

This wasn’t my first time trying Armenian food, but it was my first time trying monta. Monta is a dumpling of sorts. I think it’s pretty awesome that almost every culture has some version of a dumpling in their cuisine. I ordered a regular sized portion of monta and a large tomato soup. The monta was nice and crispy with just the right amount of soft chewiness. The garlic crème sauce was a nice accompaniment. The tomato soup had a pleasant zing to it. This came with a different type of monta more reminiscent of a wonton. The owners are so incredibly friendly and will take the time to explain the dishes if you have any questions. I would recommend requesting the sauces on the side if you plan on ordering your monta to go. They also sell frozen monta by the pound.

Eating some vegetarian monta right now and it is delicious! I went to the Monta Factory for the first time today and they just started making vegetarian monta. It is filled with lentils and bulgar and some tasty spices. Nice that they have a veggie option. Only $ 8 for the small, which was enough for me and my dad. The owner was very sweet and helpful. I’ll be back for more veggie monta and to try the other items on the menu…

We’ve never had Armenian food before so we kinda wandered in with no expectations. The owner took the time to explain the menu and the different flavors. You can tell he is really passionate about what he makes and this reflects in the bright and savory flavors of the manta we had and in the tomato soup. He was out of the su-beorg today because the Armenian Christmas just passed, but we’re excited to come back again another day to try it! A side note, seating is very limited but very quaint. Definitely check this place out!

A friend of mine introduced me to this small family run operation. Can’t thank him enough. Anyone who misses traditional homemade monta needs to come here. Absolutely authentic tomato and garlic sauce. Wow. Reminds me of how my grandmother use to make it 30 years ago. Trust me, you’re going to love it.

Never had monta before but decided to give this place a try because the Unilocal photos looked amazing. Got a regular order($ 8) of non-spicy monta with all the sauces(tomato, garlic cream) and it was awesome! Definitely will come back to try the spicy monta. Tiny place that’s easy to miss, which gives it even more charm, with really friendly service!

Truly as good as it gets for Monta. Love the aluminum tray it’s served in, since you can put as much sauce as you want and soak it well. Right amount of dough and crispiness is just right. Menu is limited but each item is amazing and done right. I imagine most people do pick up orders here, although they do have 2 separate tables outside for sitting. Family owned and a great and friend staff.

Probably the closest to homemade monta I have ever had! Just like moms… its phenomenal! The garlic sauce is creamy and make sure you ask them to make it spicy. I’ve had it at least once a week for the past 3 weeks, and honestly, it HITS! Not interested in monta? the su-boreg is also amazing! Two of my favorite dishes prepared in just a few minutes at a reasonable price. Cant beat that!

This place nails Monta. It’s like having your own Armenian Grandmother cooking for you whenever you want. Monta is thin pieces of dough pinched around meatballs and baked on a sheet. The topping options presented to me were garlic yogurt, tomato sauce, and pepper paste. You can get all or none for no extra cost. I chose only garlic yogurt because that’s how I grew up eating this dish. A personal size sheet of monta is $ 8. Call ahead to place your order; it usually takes them about 10 minutes to bake your order fresh. Let them know if you’ll be eating there or taking it to go. They also sell refrigerated sheets you can take for later and cook whenever you want. I have nothing but praise for this place; they make a laborious dish to prepare seem so simple and delicious. The restaurant is set up kinda like a pizza delivery place with minimal seating area(about 4 seats and 3 small tables) so keep that in mind depending on the size of your party. Highly recommend this spot. A Pasadena gem. Good friendly service

I just had the best monta in the world it reminds me of how my mom use to make it. It comes with tomato sauce or with yogurt. I like the yogurt sauce just amazing. Haven’t tried the salmon sandwich, but on my list. Thank you Sako for an awesome dinner as usual. Sako and the family best monta makers.

FANTASTIC! I make my own Monta(when I have lots of time) and this place nails it! Watch them make it right in front of you and take it home to go. They have great tomato soup, and the Monta is authentic and flavorful, not dried out or over cooked. There are a few(2 – 3) seats on the front patio on the street if you want to sit and eat otherwise get your Monta to go or frozen and cook later. Monte Factory you need to start shipping trays to customers in other states, I would be first in line to get an order. Great service and good hospitality you guys Rock!

This place compelled me to write a review — and not many places make me do that! Nicest customer service and delicious food! I ordered take out — the salmon salad and the cheese dish(forgot the name!). Omg — so good! Plus it feels really good to support mom and pop places in my hood. Check this place out. You won’t be disappointed!

First but definitely not the last time visiting this place! The food is extremely oh sooo awesome! If you’re thinking about ordering just one tray of mante. think again! The food was very fresh and very filling. You will not realize how full you are simply because the food is so good that you keep eating! The staff was very nice and friendly and the place was extremely clean! I recommend this place to EVERYONE!

So delicious I couldn’t get enough!!! The salmon sandwich is something you can’t imagine! So fresh so light so juicy and so fulfilling! It’s also pretty big you can share it to save room for awesome monta!!! Honestly by far one of the best montas ever!!! Guy can get it regular or spicy, I prefer the spicy and it was amazing! The dough isn’t gooey like other monta it’s such a better combo with the substantial texture of the meat and pasta like outer shell. I added the traditional tomato and yogurt sauce and seasonings and pretty much are the entire order! If you happen to be in the Pasadena area and want a hardy fulfilling meal for an amazing price and mom and pop feel, this is the place to be!!!

Let’s start off by saying this place deserves 10 stars!!! Everyone I know has been telling me about the Monta Factory in Pasadena, I decided to give it a try. So what’s Monta or Monte you ask? It’s seasoned ground meat in a hand made noodle type of Armenian Dough. With garlic yogurt on top. The best stuff on earth. I called 10 minutes ahead of time and gave my order. When I arrived everything was coming fresh out of the oven. Not only did it look great, it smelled amazing! So I got my Monta and my Su-Beoreg and headed home to chow down with the family. Caution: The Monta Smells so good it may not make the ride home. I got home and unpacked it, still steaming hot. Everyone loved the Monta and the Su-Beoreg. Great Armenian Dish to enjoy with the family. We will be going to this spot on a regular basis.

I had a random craving of mantee when my sister told me about this new business. I called and made an order of the spicy mantee large to go and they told me I’ll be ready in 10 min. I also ordered a side of garlic yogurt. When I went my food was nice and hot ready to go. I definitely will be coming back here way more often. Most delicious Mantee in town!!!

The mantee is the original, the way your grandmother makes it but better with dough made from scratch and mantee made by hand and the su-beoreg is so cheesy and yummy. Definitely will be back.
