This place is pretty good! I ordered the acai banana berry bowl and it filled me up! Their bowls only come in one size, but they’re pretty big and filling. There was a long line when I came during lunchtime, and it took them awhile to finish my order since there were a lot of people. Overall, their acai bowl tasted super good and all the fruits were fresh!

Come here if you want slow service and rude workers! I waited 45 minutes with three friends to find out that they had no record of our order. Then they proceed to tell us that we never paid. Worst experience ever. Our drinks were awful as well.

[ BLURBS ] I like that they’re open really early(7:00am) to be exact and usually no one is up that early to get breakfast bowls on a weekend. Which is great, the plaza is empty, there’s no line, and parking is easy to find. Although the shop itself was a little difficult to locate. I had to call the store to help me navigate the plaza. I found that it was tucked inside the plaza to the left on the first floor. [ FOOD ] I ordered their pitaya bowl with no pineapples($ 6.95) and it was good, slightly creamier texture than what I’m used to from the coconut butter that they add in. But nothing that doesn’t enhance the goodness of the bowl. Very well blended so there weren’t any leftover chunks in the center and not too sweet either, loved it. [ SERVICE ] This place is so much nicer than the other location in Bella Terra. Everything was in place, the floors were clean and the air wasn’t stuffy(but the again we were the first ones there). Although the girls working there could be a little less intimidating(not sure if appropriate wording) while they were trying to put a smile on, it just felt like they didn’t want to be there(or I might’ve just been there too early for them to function properly just yet, I mean I completely get that feeling). Well anyways, still willing to make this my breakfast bowl place when I head out this way in the morning.

It isn’t really worth your money… I prefer jamba juice because the price is chosen and the drink is better. It wasn’t sweet at all, mainly it was just chunky and at the end the drink had this weird smell to it…

Wonderful service. It’s located in a small but still kinda big shopping center that looks like a little mall. Parking can be dodgy on the street and incredibly rare but you only have to pay $ 1 per hour. The bowls are incredible and you can expect nothing but the best here. It always smells so good inside. I could spend a day in here!

Tried their acai and pitaya bowls. I’ve had better tbh! I was in the neighborhood today and decided to grab a green juice. Walked in at briefly 11am and it was empty. Asked the employee what was the best selling green juice and she said toxin flush so I trusted her! It was so delicious. Probably one of the best green juice I’ve tasted in a while. All of the ingredients went so well with my taste buds! TOXINFLUSHGREENJUICEFORTHEWINGUYS! They do ask if you want ice with your juice* I turned it down because I didn’t want my juice to be watery.

When you’re craving an acai bowl and are in Pasadena, it’s hard not to think of Nekter. Acai Banana Berry This bowl is pretty big. They only have one size. I’m a pretty big dude and it filled me up. My friend couldn’t even finish hers, so this is plenty. It comes topped off with fresh strawberries, bananas, and blueberries. I wish it would’ve come with more fresh fruit on top, but I can’t say I didn’t enjoy mine. In fact, I devoured mine in seconds. It tastes that much better knowing that it’s actually healthy for you. Wheatgrass Shot It pretty much tasted exactly like you would expect grass to taste like. This was my first and last time doing a wheatgrass shot. I’m not even sure of the health benefits, but I wanted to give it a try. Hard pass. Parking can be found on the street(Lake ave) or you can park in the structure around the corner where next to Tokyo Shabu.

I tried an acai bowl and it tasted just like water and pineapple not a huge fan of their bowls. Today was my first time going my friend order a smoothie and it tasted just like cashew milk. Thankfully they changed my acai bowl and I got a green detox juice and it tested good. Tip: Ask for ice in the side for your juices

Staff was friendly but there weren’t enough of them. With only one cashier and another making smoothies, they were totally unprepared for the lunch hour rush. Several people waited around due to my group ordering wheatgrass shots. The smoothie I ordered was good. It didn’t taste heavy with sweeteners and was blended nicely. We had wheatgrass shots which tasted like sugary ground up grass which I guess is normal. What happened AFTER the shots though. YIKES. There should definitely be a warning that one of the reactions to wheatgrass — if you’ve not had it or aren’t used to it — is that you MAY vomit. All 3 of us that had them vomited 2+ times each, at work, within 15 minutes of having the shots. Be aware of this side effect.

Great juice options with premium ingredients. Love that they include the effects the juices will have on your body right on the menu. Acai isn’t the most premium however is by far the best for the price. Thank you Nekter, continue to expand, we need more of you!

Holy smokes was it hot inside! After placing my smoothie order, I sat down to wait for my drink. After a few moments I looked at my boyfriend and asked, «Is the AC off in here or is it just me?» «The AC is off.» When it’s over 90 degrees outside how can a business not turn on the AC? And if it was broken, the business has to make the AC repair a priority. We are in SGV. It is HOT here very often. I hope Nekter fixes the cooling system, not just for customers but for the workers. So anyway, thanks Nekter for making me work up a sweat before receiving my smoothie! The Berry Banana smoothie that I had was pretty good. It definitely tasted healthy and not artificially sweet like most other smoothie places. I’m glad I finally got around to redeeming the free 16 oz. smoothie coupon that came with the weekly advertisements. Definitely glad I checked this place out and may be back to try their bowls sometime. Parking: street parking out front or private garage for the entire complex around the corner. 4 stars for smoothie minus 1 star for no AC = 3 stars.

Perhaps 3rd time will be the charm with this location. Today’s experience was quite painful; not just myself but for a half-dozen other customers. It was about 93 degrees and the air conditioning was not on. Two different customers around us expressed their frustration for waiting 15 minutes and 30 minutes, respectively, for their drinks. Another was told that product was out of stock(odd to be out of inventory at the start of a day). Unfortunately, my drinks just got rung up so I decided to stay. But that was my cue to start my timer on my watch and we went next door in another business that had AC to wait it out for the long haul. After 10 minutes we went back in and found one drink was ready. By the 20 minute mark we finally got our other drink. The Little Beet juice drink wasn’t worth the wait as it tasted only like beet, instead of the mix that was expected. The Banana Berry smoothie was pretty much just banana, but maybe that’s because Juice It Up and Jamba Juice are my benchmarks. Anyhow, hot day in a place without AC coupled with a 20 minute wait for drinks just does not make sense, especially when Jamba Juice is across the street and makes both smoothies and juice drinks in half the time. With that said, maybe it’s «fool me three times» instead of twice until I’m really a fool. I’ll try this place out once more before I throw in the towel.

One word to describe this place and it’s food? Delicious Always a good choice when you’re looking for something light, healthy, but will still fill you up. I could barely finish my very berry bowl!

I was super happy they opened a Nekter Juice Bar near where I live! I’ve always been wanting to try it and I finally got to. I work next door at Pieology so I always walk by it and I decided to try it one day after work. Now… I keep stopping by after work and it’s so refreshing on a hot day. In the past 7 days I’ve gotten 3 drinks there. I’m going to try the Acai Bowl soon! It seems pretty big so I might want to share with someone. My first time, I had the Greenie. I got it with the $ 3 Facebook Promo deal. It was alright, it’s a typical green juice! It has parsley, spinach, kale, cucumber, lemon & apples in it. I took out the celery because I personally don’t like celery. It’s a very classic green smoothie but I would prefer other juices. My second time stopping by, I decided to try a smoothie! I got the Pink Flamingo ANDITWASHEAVENLY. I asked for the agave on the side because all fruit smoothies are already sweet enough for me so I ended up not even adding the agave! The Pink Flamingo has pitaya, strawberries, pineapples, agave nectar & coconut water. I love this drink! The third time, I was going to try something else but ended up getting the Pink Flamingo again. Haha, I’m more attracted to the smoothies rather than the juices here! They’re so delicious & the ingredients in each smoothie seem to work very well together. I’m on an adventure to try everything on their menu(or most) since I work so close & it’s such a temptation to stop by after work every time. You definitely need to take a visit here & try their drinks & bowls. I’m sure you won’t regret it! The staff here is very nice as well & greet you once you enter the place :) It’s a small little place with just several tables inside but there’s a huge outdoor seating area that’s shared with all the other food places nearby.

Tried it twice. Didn’t like it twice. The first time I tried it was at the Anaheim Taste test, where I sampled about 10 different juices but didn’t find one I really enjoyed. The second time I tried it was was with a couple of friends. The cashier seemed like he hated his job. Ordered the banana berry and the greenery. The banana berry was watered down and you could barley taste the distinct fruits because they all masked each other. The greenery was okay in taste, but the smoothie was room temperature which threw off the entire drink. Learned my lesson. I’ll stick to Jamba Juice.

This place definitely has some great healthy pick me ups for a hot summers day ! Prior to my visit, I thought it would be a good idea to see what other fellow Unilocalers recommended. Most people recommended the chocolate dream but I am not personally a fan of chocolate so I opted for the other favorite which was the pink flamingo. Pricing : $ 5.50 for a 16 oz which is the usual for healthy smoothies. Taste: Never had dragon fruit blended up so it was definitely an interesting experience. Since I knew that dragonfruit is bland in general, I was okay with the plain and simple taste. If you are looking for something sweeter than you can probably ask one of the workers for some recommendations?! Oh and I failed to mention that it has a pretty magenta color to it which was something cool! Satisfaction: Heck yes! 1. Felt great to consume something that was guilt free and delicious 2. Actually was my meal replacement for dinner, I was pretty full after drinking the whole thing and remained full even after my gym workout. Final verdict: Definitely want to swing by to try their acai bowls one day, but definitely a pleasant first experience.

Yesterday, I purchased the 3-day Classic Cleanse and I’m loving it. Each day there is 6 bottles of juice to drink. I’m on my second day and I don’t feel hungry at all. Compared to other cleanses I’ve done, the Nektar juices actually tastes very good. Utilize the June sale and purchase the 3-day cleanse for only $ 105. It’s so worth it!!! As of July, the 3-day cleanse is $ 120.

South Lake desperately needs less pizza and sandwich spots and more healthy options. It’s a beautiful neighborhood yet most businesses here are such a yawn. As a ten-year resident here I want to see my neighborhood grow and keep up with the trends so yes, I think Nekter is definitely a great addition. If you live around here, support it! Anyway, I love their cleanse! They had a special going on throughout June so I tried it for four days. I didn’t feel hungry during the cleanse and felt great after. I snacked on raw almonds and some lettuce and avocado when I felt like chewing but overall I didn’t have any issues getting through their advanced cleanse. I definitely dropped some weight by combining it with exercising and dieting so I’m happy. I also like their berry & banana acai bowl and some of smoothies. Not a fan of their freshly squeezed juices tho. Love the interior and service is decent. Workers could be a little friendlier but who cares, it’s a juice bar, come in, get what you need and go on with your day. I’m a regular now :)

I’m usually a huge fan of Nektar for açai bowls, but today’s bowl didn’t live up to my expectations. I got the PB bowl, which had a great consistency, but very little flavor. I’m not sure if the PB bowls I’ve had in the past were overloaded with way too much peanut butter, but I couldn’t taste ANY in the one I got today. Instead, it just had a light, tangy berry flavor, that was not as satisfying as expected. I’m sure I’ll return to Nektar at some point in the future, but I’ll get a different bowl instead or stop by a different location if I’m craving the PB Bowl.

Honestly, I think this place is probably the most cost efficient juicery in Pasadena. Or maybe I’m just too shell-shocked with the ticket price of all the other places in Old Town. It’s about goddamn time Nekter opens in Pasadena, because I don’t know how long I have seen the«coming soon» sign outside the window, and thinking, maybe they’re not going to open after all. I’ve been here twice, and both times were a nice change from what I’m used to eating/drinking from the other places. The PB&J acai bowl was filled with peanut buttery goodness without overbearing on the topping, even though I kind of like the overbearing on the toppings. The Chocolate Dream smoothie would probably be the BEST smoothie I have had, in comparison to the limited places I have tried. There’s something in that drink that makes it more interesting, like a certain«pop» of some chocolate in there, or maybe it’s the coconut water? I don’t know, but this may be my go-to drink during the summer. Will definitely come back here soon, and I may get into their one-day juice cleanser. Oh yeah, park in the Macy’s structure, and walk to Nekter. It’s not a far walk, and it’s like a reward for walking«so far», at least in LA terms.
