First time at this restaurant. Found it on Unilocal while looking for Indian food with lunch buffet in the area. I thought the buffet was a little small compared to some I’ve been to. They were running low on a couple of the dishes and it took a little while to replenish. The naan was good. Their service was so so. The owner/manager? was nice, but we did have to ask for drink and bread refills. The food was spicy. Parking in the back of the shopping center. It was the weekend so they were not charging a fee. The restaurant is located upstairs.

I love this place. It is my favorite Indian restaurant in Pasadena. i would recommend going to lunch Buffet if you have never eaten Indian food or if you want to try there food. It is great price and comes with a drink. Service: Excellent. They are very friendly and are constantly checking in to see if you need anything.

This is my go to Indian lunch buffet. Im not an Indian food expert by any means, but I really enjoy all the food here. I often see many Indian families eating here so I must be in the right place… Lunch buffet here is done really well, and they have some items that are not available at other buffets. They have all the standard tandoori chicken, tikka masala, paneer, the spinach one(sorry I forgot what its called), salad bar, mango dessert, rice, etc. BUT they have a huge vegetable platter that has okra and french fries on it that is really unique IMO. Their buffet food is always perfectly cooked and I have never had overcooked chicken here which is a relief. The naan is also made fresh to order when you come into the restaurant, so it is perfectly crispy and warm. Lunch buffet also includes a soft drink. Plenty of parking in the back. Service is prompt and they always clear the plates quickly.

Had it delivered through Eat 24! 1. Mixed Grill — Fantastic! 2. Non-Vegetarian dinner — Awesome combo to go with the mixed grill if your having Dinner for two. Plan on having left overs. Winner!

Thought the location and area was great initially. Cute restaurant and nice view, but things didn’t stay great throughout. Staff wore the stale(shower optional) cologne that took away from the food. This was the biggest complaint. Staff left a big fingerprint of curry on our bowl when food was brought to the table. Not appetizing. Ice water had one or two slivers of very sad and lonely ice shavings.

Great date spot. New Dehli has easy-to-reach parking, a quiet, comfortable atmosphere, and delectable food. I tried the Mango Chicken Curry and it did not disappoint. The servers are attentive, and the view by the window is great, and romantic. I also like the location relative to the street. Being upstairs means you are away from the hustle and bustle of Pasadena, plus being off Lake means that you’re not far from other restaurants, bars, and eateries. My gal and I even stopped by one after our scrumptious meal. I would also like to point out that the management was very accommodating. We were originally seated under some uncomfortably bright lights. We asked to be moved if possible, and as soon as a table was available we were whisked away. Great stuff. Definitely recommend. I’m sure when we are in need of an Indian fix, we will be back.

Wonderful food! First time here but will not be the last! Great Mango Chicken Curry. I said some spice and they knew just how much to put in. It was perfect. Vegetable Samosa was also large and flavorful. Naan and rice were good as well. Nice interior upstairs and you can people watch below. Can’t wait to return.

Good selection of choices for the lunch buffet. I liked the lamb curry the best. Garlic Naan is a must have. Very yummy.

I got a coupon from Amazon $ 11 bucks for $ 22 spend. Entrée about $ 11.95 so we ordered 2 entrees and a mango lassi. Food Decent portions, taste not bad and service were fast and polite. We ask for spicy and yes it was super spicy I can’t finish my chicken vindaloo. Haha. Nan and rice extra charges. The parking in the complex now have someone charge you $ 2 bucks for parking, even validated by the restaurant it cost $ 1. Ridiculous. Use to be free parking . Said and done, my bill came up $ 19.95 from the total of $ 41.95. With my coupon $ 11 and plus tips, basically it’s the same deal without coupon I guess.

I’m usually not a fan of buffets, but this place has a great one. Most of the options were spectacular. Make sure to ask for their fresh naan(garlic!). I also ordered a mango lassi, which was amazing, but kind of expensive. Service is very attentive. I would definitely go back here.

My boyfriend and I decided to try out this place because he saw a coupon in the newspaper that featured all you can eat Indian lunch for $ 8.95! Parking: Do not park in the parking lot behind the restaurant; they will charge you $ 2/hr, and if you are going to be in a buffet, expect to pay a lot of money! Luckily, we found parking on the street! I would suggest doing the same, if you don’t mind the short walk. The restaurant is on the 2nd floor! Appearance: When we arrived, I was turned off by how empty it was. I think it was because we came at 11am because it got really busy at 12pm. I was afraid we made the wrong choice of eating here for a second! The décor was modern with a hint of Indian culture. It was very clean, spacious, and welcoming. My boyfriend and I got a nice seat next to the window. Since the restaurant is located on the 2nd floor, you get the view of the street. Its not much, but it’s still pretty nice. Now let’s get to the food… I honestly don’t know Indian food that well besides chicken curry and tandoori chicken. I wanted to try everything; so, I added everything on my plate! There are 6 entrees, rice, stuffed pastry with curry(sorry I don’t know the names!), salad, fruits, and rice pudding. Word of advice, the rice pudding is right next to the ranch, so be careful. I almost got a bowl of ranch for dessert! The waitress gave us a basket of naan, which was really tasty. The texture was crunchy and soft at the same time and there was a hint of flavor that complimented the strongly spiced buffet entrees. I really enjoyed the curry stuffed pastry, the tandoori chicken, and the rice pudding. The main entrees started to taste all the same to me in the end, but I remember they had a good amount of vegetarian and meaty dishes. I also remember them being spiced, salty, and creamy, which is fine by me. Word of advice, don’t start out piling your plate! My boyfriend did that and he was full fast! I would say take your time because chicken and rice can really fill you up. Service was great. I feel like the waiters got bored often; when we arrived, they were just standing around or cutting table covers. Because of this, they always cleaned our plates and refilled our waters. They were also really nice and helpful. It was my first time there, so they explained to me how the buffet worked in a friendly way. Overall, it was a good experience! I recommend people to try to place at least once in their life.

Don’t come here if you’re a vegetarian, with 8 options(which is by far the smallest selections I’ve seen) you have about 3 veggie choices, and that’s it :( The quality of foods is so so at best, I visit lunch buffet moderately often and this is one of the worst ones if not the worst experienced. The service is great yes but the food is the whole point however… Disappointed ~

I’ve had dinner here a few times but I definitely recommend the lunch buffet. For under thirteen dollars, you get AYCE Indian buffet, a drink, and a side of naan. So worth it! I recommend the chicken curry and makhani. Goat is good but it’s a little dry, but the flavor is good. Also, there’s street parking or you can turn on Hudson and make a left into the Parking lot. Restaurant is on the second floor!

A coworker told my fiancé about this place so we stopped by for the lunch buffet. It wasn’t much different from other Indian buffets I’ve been to; this one offered dal, chana masala, green salad with yogurt dressing, pakora, a vegetable dish, and several chicken dishes, including the ubiquitous tandoori, curry, vindaloo, and what might have been makhani. There was also a dish similar to saag paneer. I liked the saag paneer, which had an every-so-slight spiciness, and the fact that the brunch was apparently a champagne brunch, which we were unaware of when we arrived. The two types of naan served with the brunch, plain and what was probably garlic naan, were good. It was disappointing, however, that all the meat dishes were chicken. There were no fish or other meats offered. Also, with the exception of the tandoori chicken, the chicken dishes were all very similar and none were very spicy at all. I think the spinach was spicier than the vindaloo, which saddened me. There wasn’t much to differentiate the flavors of the curry, vindaloo, and makhani. The tandoori chicken, though, was more tender and fresher than I’ve had at other buffets. The service was good; I found the staff to be helpful in answering my question about the spiciness of the dishes and in informing us that the drinks were complimentary when we initially declined to order drinks. My fiancé, who likes the more Americanized Indian dishes, enjoyed the meal more than I did. The visit just reinforced my decision to avoid Indian buffets in favor of ordering off the menu, where you can get better flavors that aren’t tamed down and more variety.

Great food, wait staff was very attentive. It would have been 4 starts except it was very hot inside and the bathroom was beyond filthy. The okra dish was delicious and the nann was the best I’ve ever had. The rice desert was a little odd on the first bite but definitely a must try.

Reason we decided to have dinner in this town. Big Bang Theory :)(seriously) On a long road trip, we were hungry enough to look for yummy Indian restaurant and this topped the list Ambiance: Good. Although more lights would be nice. Food: Delicious. My friends ordered Mango Chicken curry and we settled with malai kofta. Both were really tasty. Mango lassi was good. And yes, free papad :) Service: bit slow but no complaints if the food is so delicious Its very good upscale Indian restaurant.

I could have sworn I already wrote a review for this place. Oh well! I would probably say this is the best Indian place in Pasadena. Their curries are always delicious. I usually get Garlic Naan and rice to eat with Lamb Vindaloo and of course… Chicken Tikka Masala. Sometimes I get Vegetable Paneer or the Palak Paneer(spinach). I prefer the Palak Paneer because I love spinach and they also have some cheese cubes in there, and who doesn’t love cheese. The Vegetable Paneer has a more tart taste to it. It might be from the tomatoes. The Tikka Masala is great, awesome consistency and if ordered medium spicy, has just the right amount of heat to it. The lamb vindaloo is great at well. A solid curry with a great aroma and consistency. The food is always great and has awesome portions. They don’t skimp on the meat which I appreciate. However, be careful with the spiciness! I love spicy food but one time I asked for it hot and I literally got the Devil’s curry. My husband and I were sweating at the table, trying to cool off with some lassi but HOT. DAMN. It was freaking hot. We were so glad it was dark in there. It was seriously embarrassing! The servers are always pleasant and attentive. They tables are clean and I like that theres a little view of Colorado Blvd. It’s kind of nice to sit there at night. It’s not an amazing view or anything, but it’s just pleasant. Be careful ladies! I don’t know which interior designer though it would be an excellent idea to panel the floor with BOLTS, but if you’re not careful when you walk here, you might roll your ankles if you’re in some heels. There is parking in the back if you make a left to go into the structure. It’s free and there’s usually tons of parking. Anyway, definitely come here if you have the opportunity! It’s one of the better place in pasadena.

I’ve only had their weekend lunch buffet($ 11.95 per adult, half of that for kids 3+), so this review is purely based on that rather than their actual a la carte menu. Their buffet selection is okay. There’s the regular salad, raita(yogurt), and some dressings. There’s rice. They have a bunch of different chicken curries and just chicken without the sauce(tandoori). Sorry, I forget and not too familiar with the names of the foods. There was a veggie curry(too much cauliflower, not my thing), another veggie curry with chick peas, and the spinach curry with cheese bits inside. The spinach one was good — it tasted amazing with the plain naan that the buffet comes with. There was also one goat curry. So if you enjoy chicken and veggies and Indian curry, I’d recommend their lunch buffet. I came here because the Indian restaurant that I used to go to in Pasadena was closed, and they had samosas in their lunch buffet. New Delhi did not have them, so that was a bummer. I’m not sure if they do a rotation and I missed it, but they had a large plate of veggies — broccoli, carrots, seasoned potatoes — fries. The buffet comes with wither chai tea, sweet lassi(not too sweet thank goodness), soda, or champagne. Dessert includes rice pudding or mango pudding. The mango pudding had chunks of canned fruit cocktail, which was an interesting surprise. The flavor was delicious though. It tasted way better than it looked. Drink, all you can eat, dessert for $ 11.95 + tax. Not a bad deal… however, where were my samosas? Service was very nice. I brought my 2 babies with me, and they were very accommodating. My shy daughter enjoyed interacting to the individuals here, which was a good sign. I’d definitely come back to try their main menu, but lunch buffet is so much cheaper for the variety.
