Richey’s Country Cookin’

Normally order breakfast at Richey’s, they always give you more than enough most of the time two people can eat from the same plate. We ordered lunch the other day and it was really good, the chicken fried steak is huge every lunch special come with mashed potatoes and 2 sides. I have taken a lunch plate from from work and my husband, myself and our 2 year old can eat from the plate and be satisfied. Can’t beat a lunch like that for 9 bucks.

No ladies room available !! Wait staff informed us owner aware but can’t fix it until tomorrow. Took my son to men’s room two urinals, two stalls one of which out of order to. A notice should be posted on outside of restaurant, we would have not gone in. A sit down crowed eatery that gets a lot of elderly patrons should not operate business if they haven’t an available bathroom. Purely opened for owners selfish reasons!

You will not find a better home cooked meal anywhere around here. Breakfast and lunch are both great.

I always love going to Richey’s, especially for breakfast. I’ve lived in Pasadena for over twelve years, and this is one of the ONLY local restaurants that my family goes to. I got the sausage and cheese omelette with grits and toast. Everything was delicious. The ONLY problem that our family had on this last visit was that someone’s pancake was a little weird, almost burnt. It was still good enough to eat, though. Other than that, everything was fantastic, as usual. Our waitress was quick and made sure to continue to check on us, and our food got to us quickly.

We walked in for our first visit on a weekday around the late lunch hour. No one greeted us. Servers kept passing in front of us with dirty dishes without stopping to ask anything. The place was pretty full and we were unsure if we were supposed to seat ourselves. We finally stopped one of them and asked. She pointed towards a couple of empty booths. The table was semi clean. An individual dropped off some menus. Again, no greeting, no name given, no «we’ll be with you in just a minute. A different young lady came by and asked for our drink order. I still don’t know what her name was. As we were waiting we noticed others being served a bread basket. After we had to ask for one, it was brought with no butter. No one even came close to our table, so when we realized we forgot something in our vehicle, we stopped to ask the server who was at the cash register at the time. We were brought «Butter Spread», NOT REAL BUTTER as the menu stated! Our food arrived lukewarm, which turned into cold mashed potatoes and pork chops really quick; and, that was on top of the chops being tough. The taste of the food was decent. The environment was comfortable despite the service which was slow and indifferent. While paying, we had the honor of overhearing some employees arguing possibly playfully, but still inappropriate. We do not plan on returning.

Delicious place to eat with low prices and good portions. Not what you expect for the location of the place. Service is decent, and place always has someone here. I recommend the San Diego Chicken breast sandwich. The bacon and swiss on chicken is DeeeLicious! =)

I used to love coming here for lunch back when we actually had 45 minutes to eat (now we only have 30). Even then, my coworkers and I had a hard time getting back to the office on time because, although their food is great!, their service is very slow. You need to go there when you actually have some time to burn.
The waitresses are always friendly and the place is always full of people. I would say this is probably one of the busiest restaurants in the area. I always order the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and vegetables. Their lemonade is very good. Their prices are low, my chicken fried chicken is only $ 8.15 for lunch.
I am sad that I am not able to go to eat there for lunch anymore. Maybe one day they’ll give us our 15 minutes back!
