Took the guys out to eat after a long day welding. This place made us feel like we were back home in Mississippi. which was exactly what we needed. All you can eat Catfish for the guys and I had a Ribeye with some peach cobbler. Perfect place to eat!

Overall it was okay. I went with a couple of friends after playing some golf. Parking was no issue as well as getting a seat, pretty quick no wait. We arrive about 1 on a Friday. I had the catfish since it was supposed to very good. I ordered crawfish etofee but was served shrimp etoufee and it was horrible. The catfish was pretty good lightly battered and light flavor. My buddies said they enjoyed their meals. Both ordered a combo catfish/crawfish and side order lunch special. The service was not bad nothing to write home about. The atmosphere was not bad again nothing to write home about. Overall not a bad visit but nothing to write home about. For three of us the bill was $ 50, we all had plenty to eat they did not have any leftovers but I left the etoufee on the table it looked and taste like it came from a can. I recommend you to check the place out at least once.

Good sweet tea. Great hush puppies. Ranch for the salad was just colored water. The magnolia pasta was just a mound of flavorless white Velveeta sauce with a handful of undercooked tiny shrimp. Would not recommend this to anyone looking for good seafood dinning. Just save a few bucks and go to Long Johns.

I think this is by far the best catfish around. Not crazy about the slaw but the hush puppies make me want to sing! If I want catfish, this is the place I suggest! Wish we could go every Friday night, I wouldn’t complain.

The catfish was some of the best we’ve ever had! The fried mushrooms were huge and very tasty, however we were not fans of the cole slaw. Service was great, atmosphere was casual. Overall 4 stars, we will be back next time we’re in the area.

Really good crab. I have not tried anything else there(not really a fan of seafood) but I definitely recommend the crab. The place is BYOB which is awesome.

I hate eating out, but I have been 3 times to Sudie’s this week. Amazing food for a great price. I’ll probably come back tomorrow. Or tonight. Maybe both times.

While we were permitted to seat ourselves wherever we liked, the booth was a tight fit. However, my complaint ends there. We had the hush puppies, which were crunchy on the outside, but soft and delicious on the inside. We didn’t particularly care for the accompanying sauce, but we’re ketchup fiends and were satisfied with substituting ketchup as the dip. We also ordered the Cheese Bites, which were crunchy, flavorful outside, as well as gooey, cheesy inside. I had the Magnolia Seafood Pasta which was very cheesy and packed with seafood. I had to slow down a bit in eating it as the occasional shell did appear. The bread was deceptive, appearing plain but full of garlic buttery goodness. My spouse and daughter cleaned their plates, so no complaints from them. I admittedly boxed half my dish so I can enjoy some dessert. We opted to share a brownie sundae and banana pudding. In the end, we ate our own happily. We also redeemed a check-in special while here, but incorporated it into our waitress’ tip since she did quite a good job despite how busy she was.

Where do I start waitress had our cups full the whole time! Crawfish was so good and they were HUGE and my kids were able to eat them too. The seafood cheese fondant was DELICIOUS, the kids burgers by the looks were BIG and they were good(by the small piece my daughter let me taste). And I got the Magnolia Seafood Pasta w/salad the plate was so big and it was so freaking good had all sorts of seafood creatures in there my lawd it was GOOD! the salad was also really good and fresh for being our first time it was worth it and I don’t even care about the drive considering I live 30 minutes away !

Terrible service. They are very disorganized takes way to long to be seated. They seated similar size groups before us. They only had a line because they do not maintain their building over half there seating was closed. It a shame the have let what was once a good restaurant fall apart.

I went to Sudie’s a few months to try it out and it was not good! This place is over rated! It’s plain seafood and a bit expensive! I should have just gone to Connie’s!

Received the free appetizer with check-in. Love it when restaurants do that! Good place to eat, very southern and inviting. Loved the catfish!

I went to pick up my order and the girl at the front was super rude. Another person comes up and she’s super friendly to them. Wtf? Yeah never again, not waisting my money here anymore that’s for sure. Anddddd the food wasn’t all that good. didn’t even have much in the plate.

We were in the area for a high school football game. Catfish sounded good, so we went there. The catfish was very good, hot, fresh, and crispy. Very nice, flaky catfish with a golden cornmeal crust. The waiter tried his best and was very good, but the flaws in the kitchen is why they get a three. The order took forever. Our lettuce salads were warm, the macaroni and cheese side was cold, as were the mashed potatoes. There is no reason for it to take an hour to get food out that is cold when it arrives. The restaurant was also dirty. If all you eat is the catfish, and you have an hour to wait, eat here.

For the price the shrimp and fish can’t be beat. The entire family loves the hush puppies.

Awesome food great service! The owner Mr. Bailey personally asked me and my date how our food was. He was a delight and the staff was polite, friendly and made us feel right at home. The catfish was fried to perfection and for the dessert I tried the bread pudding and the banana pudding both were outstanding but I believe the bread pudding was the winner out of the two. Definitely recommend this place for family dinners. Please keep up the good work Sudie’s!

Good ol’ Sudies. If you have a hankerin’ for some fried catfish that is done up right and gratifying, then you’ve found your place in this truly down home country place that’s called Sudies. Sudies touts themselves as THEBEST catfish. I can’t say this is an absolute statement, but I can indeed say that this is some seriously good catfish. Outside is that crisp, golden batter that’s fried expertly and has that crunch you love. Inside is tender, succulent well cooked catfish. It’s very fresh in taste and light in texture. It stands alone or pairs excellently with the cocktail sauce. The sauce is a kicky but still mild concoction that won’t overwhelm the seafood. Other fares I’ve had at Sudies are the hush puppies which they bring to you in what is best described as a huge hush puppy basket. You could happily fill up on these suckers. Crusty outside and soft inside, these little balls of cornbread goodness are a great start. I’ve also tried the blackened catfish. Wow and wow! I was very pleased with this dish. The blackened seasoning was charred on beautifully. The flavors of the seasonings used were all there but none were overwhelming. It was just a wonderful melding of zesty spices. The Ponchartrain sauce, a buttery creaminess with crab and crawfish mixed in was ambrosial. I love a good sauce and this was one! In the veggie category, the green beans have that Southern touch of bacon. That’s not something I’m used to in the green bean cooking category but I found it quite enjoyable in a comforting and tasty way. Other delightful tidbits are the fried shrimp and Cajun seasoned fish. The shrimp are big and juicy and fresh. The Cajun seasoned grilled fish is spicy without incinerating your taste buds with red pepper like some Cajun themed dishes do. This is very well done. The bread pudding is a gargantuan chunk of sweet sensation. I love the caramel-y sauce ladled over it and the warm hint of cinnamon along with the apple bits. The servers are very friendly and efficient. The overall vibe of Sudies is relaxed and not at all pretentious. The patrons seem to be regulars and are also very amiable. It’s as if no one is a stranger here. That’s something sadly not often found within the city. It’s too bad Sudies isn’t closer to my area. I really enjoy this place and will come here again when I want a nice, friendly, casual country dining experience.
