Was insulted going into this particular Starbucks with my service dog and baby girl… as the barista asked me when I reached the counter if my dog is a service dog because my dog was barking at the two dogs that were with their owner who was in line after me… I told the barista that my dog is a service and I asked the barista if I was pinpointed out to be asked if my dog is a service dog due to my dog barking and why the guy behind me wasn’t asked about his dogs? The barista told me that the guy with the two dogs was a regular there??? What does that mean to me «regular?» So that means«regular» customers do not get asked if their dogs are service dogs? Obviously the little chihuahuas that this guy was with had no visible signs of his dogs being service dogs… no service dog vest or tags… BUT I DIDHAVE A SERVICEVESTFORMYDOGANDITWASINSULTINGFORTHEBARISTATOEVENASKMEIFMYDOGIS A SERVICEDOG!!!

I haven’t been in all Pasadena’s Starbucks, but this is my favorite place. The only thing I don’t like — it’s always crowded by students, hard to find a good place to sit.

Great service and friendly staff. Great place to go when on break from school. Usually crowded but it’s across the street from PCC so can’t complain

Come here pretty often because it is close to school. It could get pretty busy at times, but for the most part everything here is fine. Baristas are nice and have a good attitude, often cracking jokes with customers. The reason for the lowered score is due in part to my most recent visit. Tried the Strawberry Acai drink, and was underwhelmed with the taste and presentation. It tasted like water with Strawberry concentrate, pretty much no Acai taste at all. In addition, I specifically asked for less ice, but over half the cup was ice. I asked an employee how much exactly is «less ice,» since I’ve requested it before and only get about an inch layer of ice on top. The response, a very blunt, unapologetic, «that’s already less ice.» And he just walked away. Not cool, pun intended.

Took a minute for them to make my latte, but it took them over 10 minutes to pull out a non-heated coffee cake from a display. The barista Virgo ignored me twice and has an attitude with customers. Only person that actually helped was hayley. She went to the back to get a coffee cake out of a baggie. She’s the reason this review is a two star.

First of all I love this place, but today they disappointed me, the girls were so rude, I know what it’s like working with angry customers which is why I did my best to be patient with them but never again will I come back, they didn’t ask what size I wanted and just decided to charge me for a medium and I was okay with it at first then I asked for a HAMANDCHEESE !! I SAIDCHEESE savory and she says«okay ham and Swiss«and charged me for it I told her it wasn’t what I ordered and they gave me attitude and when I go to take a bite of my food I see SPIT. I’m going to the highest manager of this place this isn’t okay at all. I use to love Starbucks.

Decent coffee not the best Starbucks. I went twice today the first time my coffee tasted watered down and the second time I see the Batista add water to my cold brew. It’s a coffee it’s supposed to be strong. And I know it’s late but I did nothing to you so save the attitude for someone else. Please.

My favorite thing about this Starbucks is that they’re really fast. You only wait less that 3 mins for your drink. It’s convenient for pcc students to grab coffee before class.

Took awhile for me to get this review out. Been going to this starbucks for a while since starting college and pcc and their service level never dropped a single bit. The drinks are made well and it just puts a smile on my face seeing the workers so nice.

Starbucks is Starbucks is Starbucks. Places like Starbucks become so popular and so omnipresent by meeting the common denominator. They have something OK for everyone. You can love end up loving ‘em because you need that one thing that you know you’ll like, you can hate ‘em because they’re a bad version of something you love and they push that thing out or just aren’t that thing. Whatever your stance, you don’t really come here, let’s be honest, because it’s great. They have my number with the chai tea latte, and one of the fraps. I won’t tell you which. I know it’s loaded with sugar. I don’t care. I just feel the weight and the shame! You do come to a Starbucks because they are nice to sit in and they have free wifi. The problem with this one is, almost always, it is packed with P.C.C students who have set up camp, or who are talking in a large enough group or high enough volume to be distracting.(I have been.) It’s also got beastly lines in the morning, around lunch, and normal lines around working hours. A few of the baristas here are a bit curt compared to most other ‘bucks I’ve been to. I don’t know that I blame them because they’re slammed all day with people. They also tend to be college kids, so they are younger, less experienced. One in particular, I won’t describe, tried some over-familiar, rude humor with me during a slow period. I sympathize, but it’s still a bit off-putting.

My favourite Starbucks in the world!!! A good spot to study and chill. They have Reserve Coffees charging mat and evening snacks and wines. What more can you ask for? You can also order through the app if the queue is extremely long. But the best part are the baristas. They are super nice and welcoming, especially CHRIS! Always glad to visit this place. In terms of customer service, the standard here is much higher than any of the other Starbucks I’ve ever been.

Been to this location a few times when I’m in the area. Always packed with students from PCC across the street. Although they have at least three baristas working, the line is always building. Lots of businesses in the area as well that order in bulk so wait time can be even longer. Parking lot is in the back or you can park on the street.

As I sit in this Starbucks and write this review I’m a tad disappointed in what I just witnessed. A homeless man, I’m assuming or perhaps he was just an «odd» man, was just(who didn’t smell, who wasn’t doing anything annoying or obscene) just asked to leave as he was eating his(paid for) bagel and cream cheese. To me a customer is a customer… He spent his money and was trying to enjoy his breakfast just like the rest of us. Very disappointing to see this first hand. It’s one thing if the guy smelt super bad BUT he didn’t… I know this to be true because I was sitting right next to him. The employee who did the dis was a little guy named Chris. Who had the worst short man’s complex I’ve ever seen. Not a typical amazing Starbucks employee. I’d suggest the manager of this location rethink this hire and quick. I’m a HUGE Starbucks fan. Always make it a point to go to an establishment in every city I’m in. I’m from San Diego in fact and I’m in Pasadena for a conference over at Cal Tech. Never in a million years would I ever think I’d give my all time favorite coffee shop two stars. Sadly today is that day… Not cool Chris, you did the wrong thing. Shame on you.

Have you ever been to a middle school library at lunchtime… Okay, understandably you probably have not since you were in middle school. Unless you’re a middle school librarian. Or a middle school student. Or a principal like… well, you get the idea. That’s pretty much all you need to know about the Starbucks. They serve coffee, hot coffee… Flavored coffee… Foamy, whippy, sugary goodness. The cacophonous din that hangs in the air at this location has a volume directly correlated to the class schedule at nearby Pasadena City College. Aside: my late aunt, Aggie, Who lived on nearby Marion Street, used to frequent this location. She would spend the better part of the day there, knitting and crocheting all sorts of incredible creations — — blankets, animals, stuffed critters, and other interesting things. She was a pretty incredible, but very unassuming person. If you’re reading this, I wonder if you remember her? It has been several years since she passed away, but she was in there pretty much every day, drinking coffee, and creating things with her hands. Anyway, if you’re on Colorado between Hill and Allenn and just can’t make it home without getting a cinnamon dolce latte, this Starbucks is as good as any other to make a stop, drop five bucks, and caffeine up.

I’ve been here several times and since its really close to PCC the lines are really long and sometimes it’s not even worth the wait. Go else where. Several spots near by. Check them out.

It’s quite unfortunate to rate this 3 stars and this is 3 stars for drinks I have ordered here because they tasted good. MINUSTWOSTARSFOR: –Slow service, whether it’s making drinks, taking orders, or just chatting a bit with each other –Need to sign into wifi every time but too slow to even load that page! –Most importantly, the amount of loitering(sometimes homeless/mentally disabled) people in the store. I have no problem with them coming in because it is cold but it gets to the point where I am being disturbed and cannot do work inside anymore. I feel bad but I think it should be regulated, as old reviews have said, since they are not really being customers to the store.

I’m a student at PCC so this is in perfect proximity. I’m sure it gets crowded during the day but I’m only here in the mornings an it’s not too crowded. The baristas are the friendliest of all Starbucks and the REALLY know how to make their drinks. It’s pretty clean in here as well.

I hate writing a review like this because I don’t want to come off as a heartless cruel person. But I have to be honest. First, the positive — very friendly, smiling young man taking my drink order at the counter. He was very attentive and nice Now the Negative — not even 7pm yet. Half the place packed with students studying. The other half of the place? — homeless people with bags and bags of stuff with them. Most people in each group had really no obvious drink that they have purchased — or maybe they had finished it, and just had not purchased another. The lady in front of me was homeless with all of her bags, and she did purchase her drink.. She was very nice and bless her, paid for a drink with change. She had every right to be there. But after I had my drink, I start walking around looking for a chair. There are none. All those students studying, where were their drinks? Then I saw at least three tables of homeless people, bags of stuff — but no drinks. I went all the way to the other end of the store, to the corner — and there was a homeless person with numerous bags piled high in the corner. He was taking up enough seating for a party of four people. I went outside and it was warm enough to sit outside. There was not a single paying customer at the outside tables. There were 3 homeless men — once again, with no Starbucks drinks that they had purchased. I did not feel safe sitting on the patio whatsoever. Okay, Starbucks — it was not a raining freezing night where the manager could be concerned about his fellow human beings safety. It was a nice cool night about 7pm. If you are concerned about the homeless people in the area — give them a free cup of coffee and Keep printed lists of homeless shelters and food pantries in the area, then hand them a copy so they can get the things they need from the proper resources. But, myself, a paying customer, had no place to sit. Isn’t a customer supposed to make a purchase every few hours to be able to keep their table? Isn’t there a rule like that? The manager needs to explain this to all of those students taking up your tables studying. I go to Starbucks at least 4 times a week. This is the first Starbucks I have been to where I felt unsafe, and unappreciated as a paying customer. I won’t be back to this particular Starbucks ever.

Great staff. Clean store. Quick service. WiFi is UNIMAGINABLY slow. Might as well not exist. Coffee is good and the tea is great but in general, food at Starbucks sucks and that is the case here as well. Seriously though if you’re coming here in hopes of doing some work on your laptop or tablet through WiFi, forget it.

BUSYSBX! Avoid this during school hours! Comfy, not quiet, lots of students chatting, Very roomy, and has outdoor seating. Small Parking lot in the back, 1 hr parking only. Plus it’s next to B of A! Greeted nicely and asked for what drink i wanted, not by the cashier, i would like to add. The cashier(she) was 5⁄10 I’ll tell you why. The person ahead of me had some type of issue, i don’t know what it was, but you made a bad impression when you gave attitude(rolling eyes) when the woman infrom of me walked away. I’m watching this all happen and really thought you were unprofessional, no matter what the issue was. I did not know what the issue was, until i put 2&2 together. SBX used to offer a tall cup of coffee when you purchased a bag of SBX brand coffee at the market. This lady wanted to redeem her tall cup(could have been old packaging because they do not offer this anymore). She gave her bag and there was soft words exchanged. The cashier said«I’m not allowed to do that», the lady said, «they have done it before…» she probably just finished her coffee bag today with that promo… anywho, the lady walked away with her coffee, and the cashier barely had time to address the issue of her walking away, so she entered the cup for free. Then comes the eye rolling and whatever facial expression she was giving at the moment. I’m not sure if that promo had an expiration date, if it didn’t why not give her that cup? If it did, so what, give her the cup. It looked as though she was a regular and that she knew that’s how it worked. So trust the customer build that relationship. They’ll come back, and if she presents you with the same issue, take it and before giving her coffee check if the promo expired. Then you can educate her by saying, it’s expired and this is a one time exception. She’s happy and you’ve said your peace, chalk it up with management, I’m sure they aren’t going to cry over a tall cup of blonde…
