Cool place. Service is alright. Foods good. Price is amazing… So if you’re in town and want a quick affordable bite come through!

Great prices, fresh sushi. We come here often for dinner and it’s always packed. Wait can be up to 30 min, especially on weekends. Lunch time is much better. Salmon skin salad is delicious and reasonably priced. Great place for a quick bite.

Besides the fact like I like the logo and it looks exactly like game stop’s logo which is the only reason why I decided to come in. my salmon sashimi was really good, its hard to mess something so simple like that but how can you forget to not place half of whatever I ordered from the little piece of paper where it requires you to right down how many of the plates you want. Besides that the waiter took very long and hardly ever asked how I wad doing or bothered to refill my glass of whatever or asked if I needed anything else until I wanted long enough and just wanted to get the check. Two thubs down.

I love this place and come here whenever I crave sushi, but had to write a review on one bad experience I had. The people here are usually very attentive and helpful but me and my family were served and helped by a man who’s name I believe was Steven or Stephen or whatever way you spell it, and he was very rude and disrespectful. He sat us at our table and left the menu. After that we were ready to order but couldn’t find him anywhere. We asked the other servers where he was and stated that they would get him ASAP. We asked the other server to help us instead. By the time he came back we were already eating and stated that he got stuck fixing the receipt paper or something like that. Aside from that, the new people who took over for him were great and really helped us forget about the whole situation. Overall sushistop is great and the prices are amazing!

Love this place. So affordable and super fresh sushi. My favorite things on the menu are the Jumbo Scallops and the popcorn shrimp on top of a California roll and spicy tuna! The sushi chef had me try a blue fin tuna sashimi… melted in my mouth! Oh, I also like the fried rice with spicy tuna and guacamole… just be careful because the sometimes over fry the rice and it get hard(just ask them to lightly fry it). Enjoy it!

I love love coming here after work for a quick, good, and affordable meal! Most of the things on the menu are $ 2.95 … And a few hand rolls are just $ 4! I always leave feeling super satisfied and happy that l didn’t just spend a fortune for some fresh seafood. My friends and I always order the baked salmon roll, blue crab hand roll, spicy garlic edamame, and eel rolls. We are never unhappy! The sushi chefs are also very friendly and quick. They’ll answer any questions you may have and recommend what they think would fit for you!

Ambience + Décor: 3 stars Food + Drinks: 3 stars Service + Staff: 3 stars Their advertisement says basically $ 2.95 per plate on most items. Sold. Let’s check it out. Quickly got seated and ordered a bunch of items off the menu. Looks like they had a good assortment of appetizers, rolls, sushi, fusion stuff, bowls and even udon. We got the spicy tuna roll, salmon roll, spicy scallop roll, popcorn shrimp, dynamite roll, tempura roll, and teriyaki chicken bowl. Let me just say, most of the items here are doused with mayo and sauce! HEAVY heavy heavy on the sauces! Like where’s the rice and fish?! I guess what do you expect at prices like this, but wow, some of the rolls, all you can taste was mayo or dynamite sauce or unagi sauce. The waitress kept confusing our orders and bringing things we didn’t order to our table as well. Teriyaki chicken was a bit too gingery for me, I guess filling for $ 2.95. I think I enjoyed the salmon roll the best. Spicy tuna was a bit too spicy for my liking. I guess if you’re on a budget and want to fulfill a sushi craving, this is the place! Right on Colorado in Old Town.

Customer service went down the drain! Want water well your waiter is too busy to care checking their cellphones in plain sight. You might as well not exist after you place your order! Sushi was okay. This place was way better a year ago, but will never be going back!

I think for(almost) everything being $ 2.95 a plate, this is a great restaurant! My friend and I came on a Tuesday night and the place was almost full. We used the check-in offer for a free small house sake that I ended up drinking alone lol. We had: — Baked mussels: 3⁄5. They were decent, but lacking something I can’t put my finger on. — Spicy scallop roll: 2⁄5. Pretty plain, but not bad. Good for those who are scared to experiment. — Spicy tuna on crispy rice: 5⁄5. Nom. I’m a huge fan of spicy tuna and this was great! — Las Vegas roll: 4⁄5. Good stuff. — Salmon sashimi with truffle oil: 5⁄5. YUUUMTHATTRUFFLE. — Baked salmon roll: 5⁄5. Definitely our fav. — Dynamite roll: 5⁄5. I’m very picky with my dynamite rolls. I really like the ones here because they’re extra creamy. Sure, quality isn’t a 10, but it’s cheap and quick so no complaints! We paid $ 17 each including tip between the two of us and we were stuffed! Also, service is slow but understand that it’s a busy restaurant and don’t have enough servers working so give them a break.

SushiStop is a total win-lose situation. They have so many pros which end up weighing out the cons, but everything here is just ‘okay.’ This is a good place to go just for a quick bite if you don’t feel like spending too much on sushi. The space, just like all of their counterpart locations, is very small. There can sometimes be a wait because of the few tables that they have, but it’s not too bad. The service is kind of lacking as well. If you’re sitting at the sushi bar, you still have to give your sheet to your waiter/waitress instead of the sushi chef, who is right in front of you. I don’t know why they do this, but it’s probably just their protocol. Most of the menu is $ 2.95 per order, but you get what you pay for. The prices are so cheap because the quality of the fish is not that great. The portions are small, but filling. Their baked rolls like the Dynamite and Scallop are tasty, but again, the quality is lackluster. The Hawaiian Poke Roll had potential if it weren’t a handroll. Overall, I’d probably come back here for a small dinner if I didn’t feel like spending a lot on sushi elsewhere.

If you’re looking for a cheap quick fix of sushi, sushi stop would be your go to place. This place definitely has a larger selection with better pricing compared to many rotating sushi spots. 75% of the menu is 2.95. Some dishes are 4 and their specials can range from 6 – 9. Portions are a tad smaller compared to your typical 9 – 12 dollar rolls of course, but satisfying enough if you’re simply craving the typical: spicy tuna, salmon, scallops. Food: decent enough for 3 dollars a plate. Definitely isn’t the best sushi I’ve had but good enough to satisfy a craving for some spicy tuna. Atmosphere: hole in the wall feel… Can fill up Quickly. Service: was decent on my first visit. Server(also the hostess) came by to check on us and if we wanted to order more a few times. Overall: would come back for a quick fix if I’m simply craving a few things.

I was craving for sushi so I decided to stop by this place, expecting almost the same standards as the Sushistop at Santa Monica. As I walked in a friendly server greeted me and sat me right away. Good start of course. I’m already familiar with the menu so I know what I want. My food order was taken and now it’s time wait. I’m a very patient person, so waiting was no problem or course. Now, the reason being its a two star because of the service. The service lacks proper engagements between the guest and server. The server(female, long hair in a ponytail with highlights and black eyeglasses with gold color design) just drops my food(not nicely) to the side close to me without eye contact and continues to walk pass me towards another table. At first, I was not fully disturbed, but a second time? The same server drops my second dish close to me, not even in front of me without a sense of appreciation that a guest is there. The server didn’t even attempt to confirm if the dishes she was dropping were mine. I was thinking she might be under pressure, but the restaurant was half empty, so not sure, but it rubbed off as unprofessional. The food was okay, cheap sushi equals cheap quality. The Eel Avocado Roll I got were very small in size. Not equal in cuts. Sushi falls apart trying to pick it up with a chopstick. The same with the Dynamite roll I ordered and it’s my favorite sushi plate, so I was not satisfied. It’s definitely not the same compared to the Sushistop at Santa Monica, at least there the staff are friendly and engaging(even if it was busy). Overall, I was disappointed, I may not return to this location and stick to the Santa Monica location.

Hello my Unilocalies, This is my first time here at Sushi Stop. I’ve heard so many things about how cheap this place is but never tried it before. I heard it was $ 2.75 before but now Everything on the menu is pretty much $ 2.95, I was a little unsure about this since if it’s so cheap then the quality might not be the best. Parking here is pretty hectic since street parking is pretty much impossible, but they do have a lot of underground parking which you have to pay. But it is Old Town, where it’s pretty much pack 24⁄7 so I definitely suggest parking at the parking lots, if you’re lucky some restaurants actually do validation. I would suggest not to come here on a weekend, we waited over an hour for our seats and had only 15 minutes to eat since we were in a rush to catch the movie Star Wars. The quality of the fish here is pretty decent, not the best but good enough for $ 2.95 per plate. I saw my friends order the tempura udon definitely made me want to try it, I had a few of their tempura and it has the perfect crunch, except for the pumpkin that was extremely hard and it was so hard to bite into so I just left it there. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to order more since we were in a rush, but next time Indefinitely want to come try again. Overall, 4 stars for service, 4 stars for food, 3 stars for environment and decoration and 3 stars for convenience. Next time I might want to try another location.

Definitely worth another visit. Food is good quality AND value, service is wonderful, service is quick. What else can you ask for in a quick lunch-break lunch. I really like their udon bowls for $ 2.95. Hearty and a good portion. In fact, 60% of their menu is $ 2.95! This makes it easy to try everything if you’re here with someone else. Will definitely come back when I’m in the area!

Cheap sushi but not high quality. But overall can’t complain since you get a relatively good quantity for the price. We tried 6 different rolls(4 – 6 pieces each roll) and a Tempura green tea ice cream and the bill was $ 22– really reasonable! The only dish that was good was their Unagi roll and the popcorn shrimp one. The tempura spicy ahi roll had potential(was unfortunately with soggy nori) and so did the spicy ahi with guacamole(not enough spice to contrast the mellow guacamole). The baked ones(Scallop and Dynamite rolls) were too heavy and just not very flavorful(bland). The tempura ice cream was probably the worst item here– since it wasn’t fried properly(became more like a pound cake batter outside) and not very good overall in flavor. Probably wouldn’t come back here since it wasn’t that good, but from a price conscious perspective, it is hard to complain.

Decent sushi for what you pay for. Better than revolving sushi but nothing gourmet or fancy. Keep in mind each plate is about $ 2.95 with a few that are a little higher. The rolls are pretty basic ranging from baked salmon roll, popcorn shrimp, spicy etc. For what you pay, it’s pretty good — definitely better than store bought sushi like Whole Foods, Trader Joes, etc. Their sake is also cheap. $ 3 or $ 4. If you’re looking to fill up, you can order their chicken teriyaki(a little dry), curry w/chicken bowl(better), tempura udon(1 shrimp, 2 – 3 veggies), or chicken udon for also $ 2.95. Good idea if you want to carb up. Service is a hit or miss but not too bad most of the time.

If you want to get your sushi cravings satisfied and don’t want to pay so much then you came to the right spot. Their menu selections are simple and affordable. They did raise the price a bit but it’s alright. Their items are mostly $ 2.95 and some are a little more but not that much more. They will state the price so not to worry it’s still pretty good. Place is located in the heart of old town pasadena so parking is 90 minutes free. Service was on point. Place is small but clean. So I say this place marks the spot if I’m in desperate need to get my sushi fix. So come and try it. Stop by Sushi stop. I’m sure I will be coming back here.

Sushi Stop is soooo cheap ! The handrolls, cut rolls, specialty rolls and bowls(like udon, terriaki chicken etc) are all $ 2.75! The rolls only come with 4 though but I still think it’s super cheap. The food is ALRIGHT… but what can you expect when its less than 3 dollars. I also tried the salmon shashimi truffle($ 6)… its honestly so gross. The truffle oil was discustingggg ITDOESNOTGOWITHSUSHI. Next time I’m going to ask for the shashimi alone without the sauce. that literally ruined my whole meal. Regardlesss, it’s not their fault I don’t like truffle. So I’m still giving them 4 stars. Park in the free 90 minutes parking lot next to tiff&co and walk !

Inexpensive doesn’t mean cheap. And SushiStop is all about the inexpensive sushi. This isn’t «cheap.» It’s just simple and it’s good and at $ 3.75 for most things, it’s solid! I had a seaweed salad(great fresh taste, medium sized portion), an eel and avocado roll(nicely put together and a good portion) and something with shrimp tempura in the middle and tempura crunchies on top(tasty!). And with a big glass of water that was refilled three times, I walked out the door for less than $ 15. As expected, SushiStop was quite busy but a seat at the sushi bar was great to see the art being assembled. Pro tip: Do not ask the sushi chef for wasabi or ginger or anything at all. That’s what your waiter or waitress is for!
