Every time I eat with people I usually come here because it’s soo good and I always feel like I’m being really healthy. It’s pretty pricey but I think it’s worth it because the quality is good. I always go for the hot plates which are $ 11 and come with your choice of meat, salad and mashed potatoes and garlic bread. I usually go for the marinated steak with the baby arugala. My ex used to say that the arugula tasted like grass LOl so if you’re unsure go with the baby spinach to be safe. My only issue with this location is the portion sizes. Sometimes I’ll get a lot of meat on my plate and other times(aka most of the time) they skimp out on the meat and salad. I’m always satisfied though tender greens is so good.

Impressed with the level of service and quality of food. It’s a cafeteria style joint with salads, soups and roasted veggies taking center stage and the proteins(choice of 2 or 3 types of chicken, beef and tuna) taking a back seat along with an assortment of desserts and specialty drinks as well as beer and wine. This is how the rest of the world eats. 2/3rds of the plate is some sort of vegetable and the protein is the smallest portion of the meal. Just a healthier, better balanced way to eat. Their chicken cobb was bomb. Their cowboy cookie was great. Their mac-n-cheese was blah, bland and they had no hot sauce?! The quality of ingredients used for each dish is what makes this place so special. Locally sourced, organic and cage and hormone free ingredients. But never mind all that, the food is fresh, clean and delicious. I’ll be back to try EVERYTHING.

tuna noiche salad, aqua fresco(Free Refills — i enjoyed it because it was unsweetened and it was combination of pineapple/orange), tomato soup with basil oil, and dessert(cookie was chewy and crunchy!) were all on point! the workers were very friendly! NOTE: they offer parking validation(up to one hour) if you park in the parking structure.

We had to make a quick stop to visit my sister n law at the hospital and on the way out we wanted to grab a bite to eat somewhere close. My fiancé is hooked on Tender Greens and California Chicken Café so we looked to see which one was in the area. Tender Greens was in the area so we decided to hit it up about 20 mins before it closed. My first experience with Tender Greens was a to go order my fiancé brought home and it was decent but I really loved the mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts so I had to get those again. I decided to go with the big plate: albacore, kale salad and mashed potatoes. For being healthy, I actually thought this meal had a lot of flavor and when I was finished it gave me that full that wasn’t too heavy. The kale salad was basic but the albacore and mashed potatoes were the winners here. I also had their fresh squeezed lemonade and it was totally fresh! Probably some of the best lemonade I’ve had in a while. If you have room left over, make sure to get one of their pastries. We went with the hazelnut chocolate chip cookie and the cranberry cupcake. The cupcake was just a little too sweet for my liking but the cookie was really good. Overall, I’d be back again but I think I’ll be substituting the kale salad for the mushrooms. I saw someone else get them and they looked amazing! This gets the stamp of approval for sure. OOOO 4 out of 5 Afros
