Awesome spot. A little pricey but overall worth the experience. Looking for a good time with your old lady, followed by a movie and dinner, this is the place.

We arrived to the theater early this time since on our first visit to iPic, we were very attracted to the ambiance and wanted to enjoy a drink before the flick. The gin and tonic and my vodka soda water were on point and stiff, the way they should be, especially if you’re paying about 10 bucks for non top shelf booze. Pretty good selection of beers which included: Sam Adams, Rouge, Angel City, Firestone, Chimay(blue and red), Delirium. Our bellies called for an appetizer, so we went with the fried shrimp. The were good sized and flavorful with a red, sweet dipping sauce. Though my gripe with this dish is the following; and of course this is all opinion and based on my experiences alone;) 90% of the time, an appetizer is shared, usually with two people involved. So, why the five pieces of shrimp? Geez, making it an even six pieces won’t kill profits will it?! Overall, a nice place to hang at before your movie.

iPic is the best for a full movie experience. My wife and I don’t come here for EVERY movie but if we want to have a few drinks, a bite to eat and chill along with our movie and do it all in one spot… we go to iPic. Food s good, theaters are nice. It’s a bit pricy but worth the extra dough for what you get. Only one complaint. The last time I went to the one in L.A. and for some reason the theater I was in was FREEZING. And I’m from Philly so I don’t get cold easily. Maybe I was in the sweet spot near and AC vent — I don’t know. But beyond that, iPic is really nice. The best part — they don’t let in kids.

I actually like this location. It’s underground where the theater is and I would have never guessed it was here. Today is my second time coming here. The drinks are good and they have a pretty good selection of what to chose from. Their customer service here is just not the greatest. I sat in the lounge area expecting a waiter to take my order, but they took so long I just went to the bar!

You don’t have to buy movie tickets to sit at the bar or order food… It is more fun though! It was a great stop on our walk about!

I came here twice. Once with a friend and the other time on a date. Both times the service was great. I love that it is low key. It’s not too crowded or loud and nice for a small group of friends or a date. We came for the lounge and drinks not the movies. The drinks were good, not too strong. I think the drink was called Death by Mocha, but it was delicious! If you like chocolate or mudslides then I’d recommend the drink. It tasted like dessert:) And I love the couches in the lounge area they are really comfortable and the servers are very nice and check on you frequently to see if you need anything. I like the red and black décor. There’s different styles of couches, dim lighting, and nice vases to decorate the lounge area. The music they were playing was good too, I believe they were playing top hits.

This place is hidden below street level, inside a movie theater, but I knew of it and finally made a visit thanks to a $ 12 beer tasting/food pairing Octoberfest event I got an email about. First of all, it was a fantastic deal(3−4oz samples, paired with a food item, 1 regular 12 oz. size beer of your choice, and a Stein of your very own). Gave us a chance to sample food that we may not have otherwise bothered with. Holey Moley. the bread pudding is absolutely to die for, and bread pudding is never on my top list of desserts. We were really impressed by the décor and overall easy going club/lounge vibe of the place. It’s very pretty actually. You easily forget you are basically in the lobby of a movie house, but you don’t have to have a movie ticket to just come to hang out at the bar. Anyway, we decided this will be a frequent Happy Hour spot now. Chicken wings were top notch. Staff was pleasant and fun, they had some halftime raffles being that it was also Monday Night Football. And they claim to be open for the early games on Sundays too. I’ll test that out soon. Specials during NFL games…$ 2 domestic drafts, $ 0.50 wings.$ 9 buckets of bottled beer. Small but good selection of craft on tap. I’ll be back. Oh I should mention that from what I could tell, it appears you can have full on food and drinks delivered to you during your movie, if you so choose. I saw waiters going back and forth between the different theaters with loaded trays of food and drinks. So that’s fancy! :-)

9/19, Thurs Night Football Met friends here to watch The Game. This space, which used to be the«underground AMC,» is now a fruity movie theater and this very lovely lounge. Looks great, feels cool, but doesn’t really work as a place to watch sports. It’s too«date» feeling for a sports night. Having said that, they are promoting football nights, so let’s check the scoreboard, shall we? Touchdown: *Friendly hostess/waitress *SUPER large TV(a giant screen made of other big screens, has lines where they fit together) *Plays audio of the game(room was fairly quiet/dead). Fumble: *Happy hour only until 6pm; their regular food prices are steep for what they offer. *Worst«tonic water» I’ve ever had. *Flatbread was good, but way too floury at the bottom; I shouldn’t see or taste this much flour. Final score: I’ll be back, just not for sports or food. Gorgeous rooms, perfect for before or after dinner drinks.

If you haven’t had drinks at Salt Lounge then you are seriously missing out. I don’t know why I haven’t been here sooner but this is a great spot even if your not trying to go to a movie. The drinks here are AMAZING, pricey but yummy all the same. I came here 3rd on my pubcrawl for Sip-Tember and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of service and drinks served. I tried the El Corazon Margarita(100% de Agave Tequila, Passion Fruit, Pomegranate, Blood Orange, Lime, Kosher Salt and Tellicherry Rim) and it was tasty. Great robust flavors not overly watered down it was a legit margarita. BUT the star of the show was the Bangkok Monkey Liquid Nitrogen Cocktail(Passion Fruit, Coconut, Pineapple, Malibu Passion). MYLAWD its tasty, even if you dont really drink liquor this is a thick ice cream like drink thats a pleasure watching it being made. It was like ice cream super unique and tasty. It is quite expensive so beware each drink is about $ 16 but i do think trying the Bangkok monkey is worth it. Nice little lounge atmosphere wise. Loads of tvs(sports on tv) and places to sit.

Took my husband out for a special and EXPENSIVE(over $ 50/ticket!) birthday treat. Got to the movies early expecting a nice posh lounge and supposedly fantastic drinks. It was not posh, it was a sports bar full of screaming college kids watching basketball. I ordered a sidecar: terrible, switched to a salty dirty martini. I love salt and dirty martinis. It was the worst thing I had put in my mouth since Vegemite! Yuck! I switched to wine on my last drink ’cause you can’t mess that up. My husband tried three different cocktails trying to find one that didn’t suck. They all sucked.

Although iPic is our fav theater, we had never enjoyed the bar before a film. We had time before our most recent film and had great drinks, great service and loved the music(hockey for my husband!) We will make sure to arrive early for our next movie.

Somehow, I had never heard about this place before! Who knew Salt Lounge was a straight-up full bar & posh lounge underground in Old Town Pasadena. In the midst of the fancy modern décor with high seating which is my favorite kind of place for a drink, they even have a large screen showing sports, which makes it even a spot my husband will love. ;) We went to a wine tasting event we learned about from Christina, their wine distributor’s representative who guides the wine tasting, at a Santa Anita Park wine tasting event a few days before. She, first of all, is absolutely amazing! I’m a wine amateur, but I try! She is so great at matching up the tastings so that you can learn to identify the subtle contrasts between grape varieties and methods of fermenting that make each bottle so different. They do this wine tasting the last Wednesday of the month for $ 10… Kind of a ridiculous deal for great tastings with light munchies in great company. They have happy hour until 7PM weekdays with thematic drinks based on currently-showing movies — that’s pretty creative for a bar, and its’ cool that they’re obviously constantly updating their drink menu! Looking forward to stopping in to try that!

We have gone to the ipic theater several times and never really came early enough to enjoy their lounge. I am glad we got there with some time to spare because we had a chance to sit at the bar and chat before the movie. We ordered drinks and food and one of the servers was kind enough to take the food and drinks into the theater for us when we were headed in for the movie. I love the décor, it’s kind of dark and sofas are a great touch. The server tried to be attentive, but I think he got a little distracted at some point. The only negatives I would say is that the prices are a little steep. If you sign up for their website they send promotional emails, like their wine tasting event(which I’m planning on attending). I know they have a discounted night on Tuesdays(I hope they still do anyway), but I wish they had happy hour more days a week, if they did I would make this my #1 happy hour destination in Pasadena, but sometimes it is hard to get out there on Tuesdays.
