This place is over priced and the food quality is horrible the rice tasted old keep in mind I went for lunch and the tortillas are store bought and they were cold by the time she brought them to me. $ 19 for a pop and chicken mole. The bathroom was disgusting I decided to hold it.

This is our favorite Mexican restaurant in the Tri-cities. We’ve tried nearly all of them. Nothing beats their tender and flavorful skirt steak so choose that for your meat. The tacos al carbon and the steak fajitas are amazing. The chips and salsa can’t be beat when hot and fresh and sometimes they even give you some queso bean dip along with your chips and salsa. Yum! The service is always good.

I have to admit that I had high expectations. Given the popularity and signage out front I was expecting above average mexican(sea)food. However, we went on a Friday night and everyone, and I mean everyone, from child to geriatric was watching a very very loud game. I think the noise distracted others in our group, but just rating the food, I was disappointed. It was average, but average in Pasco is everywhere you turn. They had average tortillas no salsa bar, and given 6 meals no one raved, and I don’t think I would recommend this as a must eat at.

DONOTCOMEHEREIFYOUARE A VEGETARIAN. There is one menu item(burrito) and it’s not good. Broccoli and cauliflower burrito with little to no flavor. My husband had that — he was disappointed. I had them modify something else on the menu… can’t be too hard to add peppers and onions and omit the meat, right? «Vegetarian» means«more rice and beans» evidently. No guarantees the rice was made without chicken stock. The other meat eaters looked like they were having a good time though. Mexican lunch buffet sounds awesome.

Moriscos! I had the fish and vegetables and enjoyed it very much. Clean place. Good staff. Veggies weren’t over cooked like at the expensive place I went to last night. In the area for only a few days and this is the only place I found worth coming back to.

Authentic Mexican food, really close to the airport. Quick and great service. Big portions and really good chips and salsa. Will definitely come back again and get food to go, on the way to the airport.

OMG! Are people serious? Unilocalers let us down in a big way on this one. We had heard there were good Mexican places in Pasco. We were visiting for the balloon festival in Prosser. We picked the top of the list from Unilocal to give it a try. Service took an honest-to-god ½ hour from the time we got our menus to the time they took our order. The waitress did apologize, but seriously? I counted eight full tables and two servers. So not busy and so so so slow. Once ordered, the food came out quickly enough, but ugh. I had a vegetarian burrito and it was so so so awful. Nothing in it but beans and some sort of plastic yellow cheese. The rice was very very mushy and just tasted off. The beans on the side were okay but no flavor at all, which I guess was an improvement. Everything was VERY bland. I love hole-in-the-wall places but the food has to be good. Only then can I overlook the harried staff, dirty floors, sticky tables and other grossness. After eating here, I don’t think I can touch Mexican food for at least 3 months or until the bad memory fades, which won’t be any time soon. I hate to give such a bad review of this place since it is a kind of small town favorite of sorts, but really… No excuse for this. I used to live in Anchorage, AK and we had WAY better Mexican food there, and that’s saying something!

Garibaldi represents a turning point in my life. This is where I found out I actually like(maybe even love) Mexican food. The carne asada was tender, the fried fish was crispy — both were very flavorful. I just wish the salsa was less watery. Not sure how this stacks up against other authentic mom-and-pop places. I just know it’s on a whole different level than the Mayan, Azteca, and similarly mediocre chain restaurants.

I have been to this restaurant a few times and it is pretty spacious. The most recent time I was here was on a Monday so it was not as lively as the previous times — in the night time it is a bar so I’m assuming it would be lively without regards of the activities of earlier that day though. Despite that fact, the chips and salsa were delicious as I stuffed my face with those before my meal even came. Since that happened, I ended up only eating half of my vegetarian burrito meal so I eventually saved it all for later! By tasting the beans, rice, and the burrito I have to admit that the quality of the food was very high for a place that has an exterior that doesn’t stand out as much. Ultimately, I would definitely go again as there aren’t a whole lot of places that compare to it in the Tri-Cities.

So not that great. It’s really run down inside and the food is pretty bland and salty. They did have cold beer, but other than that, not so much.

We walked in early on a Friday evening, a group of hermanos sat at a table sipping wind-down beers. Other than that the restaurant was ours. A duo of hermanas waited on us, one spoke English perfectly, and the other struggled. It didn’t matter. The menu is expansive, and I asked both what the house specials were. They pointed me in different directions, and I was left asking, «is this a seafood place? A burrito place? a grill?» That didn’t matter either. The chips were good, fresh, and hot, but probably overrated by the reviewer below. The salsa was fresh and delicious. No «Made in New York City» here. The tacos al carbon came for my wife, and the steak burrito for me, and all conversation betwixt us ceased. Our language devolved into grunts of contentment. No need for words. The tacos were on the far side of excellent, and came garnished with grilled whole green onions on top. The burrito was in the middle of delicious – nothing like those from San Francisco’s mission district, but a noble attempt. Immersed in our respective worlds of tender steak, the restaurant began filling. Several more hermanos entered, some donning cowboy hats, if only to add flavor to the scene – as if the flavor in the food wasn’t enough. As I slew the burrito and surveyed the scene, I happily noted that I was the only gringo in here. The two waitresses, once all our own, were now spread thin running back and forth. It took the old hand-wave-toward-the-register to get our check. But that didn’t matter.

Spacious inside, bright & cheery atomosphere. The wait staff is very friendly and attentive. Food is good to very good. I saw some very interesting orders delivered such as very large oysters in half shells. Buterflied shrimp and several very large seafood cocktails. We will be back to try those dishes.

This place has great food. I’ve only ordered some kind of burrito, and it was delicious. The chips and salsa are also quite good. BUT… the best part about this place is that they have live MARIACHI music in the evening. I’m not sure if it’s just on Fridays and Sundays(only days I’ve been there)…and it’s around 7−8pm. Really great music!

had some company in town… wanted to show them some amazing mexican food we have here in the three cities… jumped on Unilocal and saw corey’s review(which i can always count on) and off we went… because i was convinced! we got our chips and salsa and our visitor took a bite and said.“i’m not kidding, this might be the best tortilla chip i’ve ever had”. I felt I had done my duty and it was good. :) I highly recommend this place and will head over there more often!

With two long coastlines, Mexico should be able to put out some great seafood. Garibaldi doesn’t disappoint. Fair warning though, just like any Chinese restaurant, there are certain dishes that seem to shout out to ‘gringos’ like myself, avoid those and keep moving. We ended up ordering from the ‘Mariscada en Botanas’ section, opting for the ‘camarones machos’ and ‘camaron y pulpo’. The camarones machos is noted as «raw» on the menu, but no worries, it’s mistranslation and should have been written as «cold». It’s a wonderful cold dish of shrimp mixed with cucumbers in a spicy-sour base, perfect for the hot days in Pasco. The sour nicely offset the camaron y pulpo, a buttery pan-fried mix of shrimp and octopus. Both dishes were far better than any thing we had tried in Seattle and we look forward to trying some of the other seafood dishes.

For fancy Mexican food, this place is probably towards the top in the Tri-Cities. This place has been there for at least 15 years(my guess, does anyone know?). I’ve been impressed with all the dishes I’ve eaten there. Like someone mentioned before, its a well kept secret considering its not the type of quality you’d expect in that part of town. Come to think of it, its definatly one of the nicer restaurants in Pasco– there really aren’t many quality restaurants there– you pretty much have to go across the river for most of them. Garibaldi is worth trying out if you haven’t.

Oh WOW. it’s like a secret stuck in Pasco. The food is wonderful. The service varies. The buffet is excellent. Almost everyone there speaks Spanish. I came for a busy lunch. Tri-City area police came in. eee. hope I didn’t park wrong. eee. They smiled and were polite. Whew. It’s a small town. I have eaten there about 5 times. The food and convenience over-ride my pickiness on the service. The cashier is quick. Their philosophy seems to be excellent food, customers in and out. no mess with waiting for a check, you can get it at the register. I appreciate that.

I’ve been in the Tri-Cities for over 10 years, and I’ve lived in Kennewick & Richland for all of that time. I have done the«standard tour» of the«usual» restaurants in these two of the Tri-Cities. Regretfully, I’ve not explored Pasco’s offerings much. With the large Hispanic population in Pasco it’s a shame I’ve not checked out more of the Mexican restaurants in this city. One restaurant I’ve been to a few times while living in the Tri-Cities is Garibaldi’s. The restaurant sign has a big shrimp on it… my guess is this alludes to Garibaldi’s specialty: Mexican seafood. There are tons of dishes to choose from on the menu, and by far most of the dishes were in the seafood realm. I was a bit overwhelmed by the choices — they all looked good. So, I asked the server for recommendations, and I went with the bacon-wrapped shrimp plate w/corn tortillas(Camarones Con Tocino). I must say this was pretty yummy. The shrimp/bacon appeared to be grilled as well as the veggies which accompanied it. After tonight’s dinner, I have pledged to make more visits to Pasco, whether its at Garibaldi’s or any of the other numerous«real & authentic» Mexican restaurants of Pasco. ************** Ok, I had to update(5÷11÷08) this review due to another visit to this restaurant. The other few times I’ve been to this restaurant the place has been somewhat dead and mellow. Last night I went on a Saturday night during the prime-time dinner crowd, and man it was awesome. The place was pretty much packed. There were people at the bar. There was mariachi music blasting from the stereo, there were little kids running w/o their shirts on. There was an old grandma peacefully sipping a margarita. It was all in all a really fun time, and very happening. Garibaldi’s, you get 5-stars!
