First visit: had the recommended chili relleno and asado tacos. Both were great: flavorful, lovingly made, & fresh. The relleno was especially succulent. Service was warm and welcoming.

New restaurant named Habanero and the food, atmosphere, and service is greatly improved. Give the menu and staff a chance. I think it is well worth it.

Small place, serving the typical selection of Mexican food. Burritos are enormous, and seem to include sour cream by default(or at least the veggie one did). When we were there, they had tamales listed on the specials board behind the cash register(note for the wise: see what’s on the specials board!). The tamales were the real winners. They were pretty seriously big, and arrived unwrapped, lightly fried with a bunch of cheese melted all over them. Filling! And damn tasty too. Side of rice & refried beans was also quite good. Horchata is large, and seems to come with free refills. They offer breakfast, which sounded really good, but beware that it ends at 11am. Service is efficient — not friendly, but not particularly unfriendly either.

Not bad, not great. Good horchata, if a little on the sweet side. I got a second to go. The tortilla chips are hot & fresh(not sure if they’re made in house or not), and there are 4 different salsas to choose from.(I liked the avocado based one the best, but the darker brown, garlicky one was also pretty good.) We’d been craving breakfast, even though it was noon, &LMDM advertised Mexican breakfast. The menu said they only served breakfast until 11, but we decided to ask if we could order off of the breakfast menu anyway. The waitress responded with a curt, «I’m sorry, no.» Fair enough; I guess I just expected a little more courtesy than that. I ordered the vegetarian burrito, which was enormous(approximately the size of my head), but I was sad that I asked for no onions & ended up with onions anyway. I was also sad that there was sour cream. It wasn’t listed that way on the menu, & I would have asked for it without if I’d known. My boyfriend had the chicken & pork tamales, which we ended up kind of splitting because they were so big & rich(& I couldn’t really eat my burrito). VERY tasty. I might give it another chance if I was in the mood for Mexican, but next time I’ll be sure to ask more questions about what comes on things & to emphasize special requests.

i have eaten there a few times. the wait time is always long. the service is rude. today, as i walked to the counter(there is nowhere to review a menu), another customer walked to the counter and asked the waitress for her check. she needed to get back to work. the waitress told her to sit down and she would bring her the bill. then, she waited for me to place my order, before casually strolling over to give the customer her bill. no regards whatsoever for the customer’s needs. next, the waitress gave me attitude because i ordered«beans» on my tacos. she said they only go from the menu(the menu says«hard tacos with choice of meat» i thought beans would be a «choice of meat»). she decided to rudely make«an exception this one time.» I should have left. instead, i waited the 15 minutes for 2 bean tacos to go. there was only 1 other customer in the restaurant. as i waited, the lady who requested her bill questioned the high price of her total. the rude waitress showed her that the menu says«prices can change any time.» and therefore she must pay the higher price. mine cost more than the menu said as well. in closing, the waitress who is always there, is rude or at the very least indifferent to the needs or requests of the customer. the food is inconsistant. the prices are not as listed. and the wait time is unreasonable. visit tortilla town on 24th street. they are friendly, delicious, big proportions, reasonable prices, they make your food fresh, right in front of you, and they seem quite happy to have your business.

Amazing restaurant, this is the second time that I have been to PR and this time I went with a few girlfriends ALL of who loved it! The service was lovely. they tend to bring the mains out a little slowly but its only because they doing such a great job with the dishes. nice prep and presentation. While we were eating they brought us out fresh corn tortillas so we could always have hot ones to eat. YUM. I will be dreaming of the food till I am back in Paso!
