First off, I know it’s fast food… so expect mediocrity. This place took mediocrity to a whole new low. My husband and I used the drive through and ordered a quarter pounder meal, a big Mac meal, and two McChickens. He grabbed our food and we made the mistake of taking off. Our McChickens had a pea sized spot of mayo… kind of like they ran out and didn’t want to get a new bottle. We were supposed to get large fries… the containers were large, but only HALF full at best. When my husband said his soda was light, I opened it and he had maybe six ice cubes; my soda was only three quarters full with double his ice. I was in a huge hurry today in town and decided to drive through… again. I ordered the new buttermilk chicken sandwich meal. Once again(I obviously don’t learn) a couple of pieces of ice in the soda, half a container of fries, and NO mayo on my sandwich. My husband says if we plan on eating unhealthy go next door to Carl’s Jr. They give you all of your fries, mayo, and ice in your drinks.

Worst McDonalds I’ve been to. No wonder McDonalds is closing restaurants. This one should be next.

A little pricier than other McDonald’s, but the décor is cool and the place is clean. Kids loved eating here. They have video games to keep them entertained until the food is ready. Great short stop for some quick food.

Drive thru menu was on breakfast menu at 6:00pm. I had to look at the other lanes menu. When i ordered they told me that the menu from the other lane was an old menu and that they had recently updated the menu so the meal number combos wouldn’t match. No menu to look at. I drive to second window where they hand me my bag and walk away without giving me a chance to ask for ketchup. I waited 5 minutes before i opened the window and asked for help. They asked what i needed and handed me ONE ketchup. Fries were soaked in oil, cold and old. NEVERWILL I VISITTHISLOCATIONAGAIN. K bye.

Ok so it’s not a bad Mc D’s. It is just absolutely obnoxious that they leave the lights on the golden arches when they are closed. Last week I traveled early before 4 am towards the Bay Area and saw the lights on. OK cool, I can exit and make a quick pass thru the drive thru. NOT! !!! They open at 5 am which I quickly figured out when pulling in to the drive thru. Total waste of time and power to keep all those lights on. Shame on the management of this location. Drivers can see that sign from the 101 and do exit only to find the location closed.

I have to give this McD a 5 stars. We stumbled upon this McD while driving on HW101 from San Francisco to Disneyland. When we pulled up, I was tickled by the old school façade. We were even more amused when we walked into a 50’s inspired décor. The kids loves the arcade station they have. It was definitely a great way to motivate them to eat faster so that they can go play. The food was standard McD menu. But it was prepared very neatly and at the right temperature. Something you don’t get in the city. The cashier was very personable and got my order down correctly. Also something you don’t get in the city. The dinning area and the restrooms were all very clean. After we left, an hour and a half down on HW101, my husband realized he left his new phone behind. I called his phone and the manager, Roy, answered the phone. He insured me that the phone is safe and will be kept behind the register for us to pick up. Service and honesty like this is hard to find these days. It definitely does not exist in the city.

I normally don’t eat at McDonald’s. It’s well known that it’s bad for you and that the products are not fresh/made with fillers. I stay away from eating fast food as much as possible, especially McDonald’s, but today I made the unfortunate choice of eating there. Went through the drive through about 45 minutes ago. I ordered a quarter pounder deluxe. The lettuce was almost non-existent and the inside of the burger was cold. I don’t have high expectations, but it should have been hot/warm and had an «appropriate» amount of lettuce. From now on if I have to eat fast food, it will definitely NOT be McDonald’s. I uploaded a picture to prove the amount of lettuce was ridiculous.

Compliments to Jasper!!! After traveling almost 3,000 miles I must say this young gentleman made an impression on me like no other. We were greeted at the door with a smile and a hello. He waited on us, checked to make sure we were happy, said thank you and goodbye when we left. He was so pleasant, and efficient at the same time. He treated all the customers with such a warm and pleasant attitude, it was refreshing. If I had a restaurant I would scoop him up and let him run the show. P. S. Clean restrooms and good coffee as well. Thank you Jasper.

Ugh. Went through the drive thru around midnight. The guy working seemed completely out of it. So out of it, that we did not receive one of the burgers we purchased, nor any of our drinks, though our bad, since we didn’t even think about it until we were back on the highway. Food looked as though it had been slopped together. All in all, I probably will avoid this location from now on. Also, cash only… seemed weird.

Spacious McDonald’s with a retro drive in design. Right off the freeway, so an easy place to grab a bite on your road trip. Staff was nice and food came out quick. Video games for your kids, or the adult at heart.

Wish I could give them 10 stars!!! OMG these are the McDonalds employees that deserve $ 15.00/hr. From the second I walked in everyone had a smile in their face, everyone greeted me, the ace was SPOTLESS, the bathroom, the booths, the floors, the drink area. I asked for a special order and the girl at the register didn’t hesitate simply said«sure thing it would be my pleasure» WOW these people and this place is top notch.

All McDonald’s are NOT alike! Elvis and McD’s latest menu addition made me see the light at the Paso Robles McD. If you are passing through on 101 and need a quickie I recommend you pull over here. First, I got to try McD’s latest addition to their dollar menu here, the Grilled Onion Cheddar Burger, and it was GOOD! It is a regular meat patty served on a regular McD bun, but then they top off the patty with a slice of what seems to be real cheese and caramelized onions. As we all know, McD’s ingredients are pre-made in a factory somewhere and trucked in to be assembled for final consumption at one of their millions of franchise locations. Thus while the onions are not actually fresh, the factory processing seems to have imparted an interesting texture and flavor which is more reminiscent of porcini mushrooms — seriously! None of my local McD locations have this burger yet, so the Paso Robles location might be one of the few which have already added it to their menu. Be the first in your neighborhood to try one of these delicacies by coming to Paso Robles. Second, previous Unilocalers have supplied photographic proof that Elvis(or a reasonable facsimile thereof) has been — is still — here. The place is totally retro with logos and 50’s era interior finish which pre-date the weird Ronald McD clown and actually make you feel like you are somewhere besides the more pedestrian McDonald’s franchises. Don’t be a snob, Paso Robles is a great rest stop between LaLaLand and SF so you may as well stop by this McDonalds!

The manager didn’t want to accept my Living Social voucher, despite it clearly stating no expiration date. Then when I asked why, she accepted it and said«just this one time». What kind of store policy are they running here? Why does McDonalds run promotions and then let stores sometimes honor the policy and sometimes not? I still have another four vouchers to use, might as well go to another location to avoid the hassle, perhaps they’ll be better.

ATTENTIONGENERALMANAGERINTHEAREA: WHY so many low stars? I love this McDonalds! The decore is so retro and fun and it’s open 24 hours. The food is okay most of the time. Sometimes the chicken wraps taste petrified and chewy if you get them too late(they must not think you will notice because it is late or they expect you to be high or not expecting the same quality in the daylight) but now that I have been trying to eliminate fast food… I really don’t care… BUT… vanilla ice cream cones are only 3 points on WWs sooo I sometimes get a cone on my way home from work late at night. Today my husband and I were running around doing errands and he wanted to stop in Foster Freeze… Oh no! I didn’t know the calories so I talked him into driving through McDonalds. We were there before 5 today(Tuesday) He went through fighting me all the way but I promised him… only 3 points and they really are good for the points and price!!! So he relented but I said; Watch, they won’t give us a napkin. Why did I have to say that? Not only did she not give us a napkin, she did not even say hello, she just barked out how much we owed. Then, she didn’t say thank you or kiss my butt or anything. She just practically slammed the window. My husband motioned for her to open her window and she looked very annoyed. He asked for napkins and she handed him one and slammed the window again. She was very young and quite clueless looking, on top of looking like she would like to be anywhere else in the world besides there saying: Thank you for your order sir. Which she did not!!! What happened to customer service? Don’t they even have to watch videos anymore? I guarantee, next time my husband wants an icecream cone, I won’t be able to talk him into my 3 points a cone place EVER again! They had their chance and blew it. I mean what’s up with drive thrus? But especially THIS McDonalds!!! 2 out of 4 times… they don’t give you eye contact or a greeting. They just blurt out the total $ you owe them and then YOU say thank you and drive away… They never say thank you or have a nice day. Well, a few of them do but if I were a General Manager in the area, I would send spies to score the drive thru window employees there and I bet I would not be so far off by saying about 50% of the staff there suck at customer service. This did not used to be the case! In the beginning this place was so friendly when it was new! What happened??? And be careful going out of their drive-thru exit when you turn right there is something up with that driveway, there is a curb that you don’t expect that creamed my car a few years ago. When talking to friends, they also shared with me how they’d reeeeally damaged their cars as well on that exit! I am careful now, so don’t know if they fixed it but beware!

Flies! I brought my kids here for a happy meal and there were flies buzzing around us and landing on our food. I started looking around at other tables and they were everywhere. I told the manager, to make him aware. He dismissed it and said«oh, that’s just normal.» With so many great places to eat in town, I recommend it only in a pinch. If you’re not local, just use Unilocal!l

A rollo mcflurry? this prompted my bf and me to actually get out of the car instead of drive through so we could sit and enjoy it. Honestly, it was a little too sweet for my buds, but worth the attempt. we threw it away after about 3 bites each. the retro style building is awesome! this location is so easily accessible from the fwy, and much cooler than all the other mc d’s. there is an entire section dedicated to video games for kids. overall, it’s your standard mc donalds– food, service, and speed
