My boyfriend and I came here for valentines dinner. We didn’t have a reservation and we called them and they said come in we will get you in. They were so friendly and welcoming! The food was truly out of this world. One of the best meals I’ve ever had. The chef came out to introduce himself to everyone which I thought was a very nice touch. The owner to truly one of the nicest people. I can’t say enough about this place! We will come back to town just to eat here again!

We went here for dinner on Valentine’s Day and they had a 5 course meal that was simply amazing. The restaurant is very small and it felt a little cramped… but that was the only negative thing I could come up with. The owner was our server and she was chatting with us the whole time. Such a fun, sweet lady! Halfway through our meal the chef came out and said hello to everyone in the dining room which was very nice to see. That hasn’t happened to me once in Las Vegas(where we live). The food was incredible!!! One of the best meals I’ve eaten in my entire life. I will come to this restaurant every time I’m anywhere near here. I would give them 10 stars if I could!!! Very very impressed.

Enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Paso Terra on Sunday with a large group of people following a concert at Studios on The Park. The restaurant is a quaint, nicely appointed, warm, welcoming place and perfectly located just off the main square in downtown historic Paso. Andre, who is from France, prepared fabulous hors d’oeuvres, a pasta with large shrimp, a yummy pumpkin soup, beef bourguignon with baby carrots, beans and potatoes, homemade bread and a lovely desert. It was the perfect dinner for the chilly fall evening. Christina, Andre’s wife, is personable and the ultimate host and made certain our wine and water glasses and bread basket were dutifully attended to, a rare and welcomed quality. Their passion for excellent food, ingredients and warm customer service shine.

Look no further for the best of the best in restaurants for the Paso Robles area. This little gem has all the ambience of a first class restaurant found Europe’s best locations. Chef Andre along with the staff is impeccably friendly and accommodating. The menu is exquisite and the ambience is all that one would expect from a very private dinner. This is a restaurant not to be missed from the gourmet selections of appetizers, main courses, and then desserts, the hardest part is what to decide to enjoy as a delectable dining experience. This is gourmet eating at its finest, all at very reasonable prices. Please, please, please make this a must on your list of dining experiences. I can guarantee you will not regret it!!!

Had a lovely, reasonably priced pairing dinner on Harvest Festival week-end. We loved the cozy atmosphere with a rose and candle on the table. Portions were generous and service delightful. Definitely recommend them for a couples night out.

It was our first time in Paso and we are glad we decided to try this place! The service and food were exceptional! We ordered the bacon wrapped scallops, ahi poke salad and the halibut in coffee sauce. All three dishes were phenomenal! I wish we could have tried everything on the menu. Andre, Christina and Jane were all so friendly and welcoming, we will definitely be back to eat here whenever we are in the area.

Amazing food, amazing service. We were still raving about our dinner the next morning. Andre and Cristina are wonderful business owners and hosts. If you’re looking for a dinner spot, I highly recommend trying Paso Terra.

Instead of carrying everything into Jazz Night, we wanted to try something different this year. We decided to have dinner downtown instead. Paso Terra has long been a favorite experience to share alone or with another couple. We discovered that Andre and Christina also excel with a party of eight. After the signature complimentary bubbly and tart, we started with Andre’s mighty crab cakes, his fresh black cod ceviche and another new favorite, bacon wrapped scallops with a mesquite chipotle aioli served on grilled mushrooms. The scallops and mushrooms were so delicious that we had trouble sharing so we had to order more. Our entrées followed in quick succession. We had a Mediterranean salad with plump grilled shrimp, Nut –Crusted Halibut with a coffee sauce, a few Catch of the Day Wild Salmon, a couple of the Sea bass with a Tequila-Lime cilanto sauce on sea beans and an impressive rack of lamb drizzled with a mint pesto. While wait staff kept our wine glasses filled, the fragrant rolls coming and the table clear, Christina and Andre kept us in good cheer. In spite of their impeccable service, time was running short. In order to make it to the concert on time, they made a special care package filled with Andre’s chocolate truffles and his amazing lemon bars to take with us to the Fair. How did they know that chocolate and lemon would go so well with Boston? Thank you Andre and Christina for making our evening so memorable. Highly recommended.

Very small husband & wife(Andre & Cristina) restaurant serving Cali-French cuisine with an emphasis on seafood. The service was friendly and the food well-prepared and delicious without being constrained to organic/locavore/etc. constraints. The wine list has reasonably priced local picks. A very reasonable contender to the other nice restaurants in town even if it is smaller and less fancy(check out the owner’s amazing paintings though!).

With the variety of restaurants to choose from in downtown Paso, it pays to stroll around and review the menus posted outside their establishments. After doing this, we decided on Paso Terra. After being seated outside, we reviewed the menu that had a variety of meat, seafood, and vegetarian dishes. We decided to order the crab cakes for our appetizer, and for our entrees, the vegetable pesto pasta, and the catch of the day(halibut). The crab cakes were filled with crab and drizzled with a pepper sauce, over a bed of fresh greens that had been tossed in a perfect amount of vinaigrette. Though on the smaller side, these cakes were a great start to our meal. Our entrees came shortly after the crab cakes. The vegetable pesto pasta was coated in a dark green pesto sauce and was filled with several artichoke hearts and other vegetables. Really delicious. Unfortunately my catch of the day was overcooked(burned), but our hostess tended to this issue quickly and the corrected the issue. The fish was filled with a great charred flavor, served over a bed of spinach, and accompanied by grilled toms, carrots, and asparagus. Filled with flavor I would order this again. And finally our desserts. Housemade raspberry sorbet for her, and a lemon cheesecake for me. Both were outta sight. So if ur in downtown Paso and looking for good seafood, give this place a try

The staff and owner were incredibly friendly and the service was great but The food was a joke! 35 $ for low quality over cooked lamb lollies?(Which had NO meat on it.) And 30 $ for a tiny piece of «okay» bass? One of the things that bothered me most was their lack of creativity or culinary skill. They served the same hour old greasy roasted vegetable.4 French green beans. and a gross little pile of canned red cabbage which DID not complement either of the dishes! If your charging 5 star prices give me 5 star food!

Had dinner at Paso Terra last night, wanted to try a different place this visit to Paso Robles! So glad we did! First we were greeted by Michelle, chef Andre’s wife. She was so friendly! Food started arriving and everything was great, very fresh, well prepared, portions were good– not too big, not too small. Reasonable prices as well. Chef Andre came out to talk with us and was a delight as well. A must go to if you are in Paso Robles!

Things started out pretty well amuses of tuna on a little cracker and a sip of bubbly sparkling wine. I know it’s a little thing but the owner handed me my water with her fingers touching the rim around my glass and I sort of knew service would take a noise dive and that’s what happened. I know this because nobody that works in the industry would hand you a water that way. My husband asked about the seafood pasta and asked what kind of fish is in it. Instead of finding out like a professional server does the owner said it varies all the time but everybody always enjoys it. My husband said OK and ordered it anyway. We shared a salad and it was delicious made with very fresh fancy ingredients and presented very attractively. We weren’t told but latter found out they add on a three dollar charge to share a salad. Not a deal breaker but it should be posted on the menu. The owner cleared the salad plates and took the roll plate but placed it on the table next to us using the table as a side stand. At some point in the dinner my husband ran out of water and was passed by several times with nobody offering water. After a while he flags down the owners helper and asks for water. We receive our dinners and they look STUNNING! My husband enjoyed the seafood pasta with whatever kind of fish it was made with and said the basil cream sauce was very good. My plate of Halibut was good but not as perfect. The main problem was the sauce was very salty. I forced myself to eat it but it was way beyond my comfort level. The fish it’s self was slightly overcooked but not bad. The cooked sea beans that were under the fish are naturally very salty as well and made the dish even more extra salty. But I did enjoy the side of assorted fresh vegetables they for sure were over the top and very nice. I think at this price range service is a big issue here as we were never checked on but we were asked if we wanted to order dessert and we said no and she said nothing. A bit of running around took place and after a while she just plopped the bill on the table saying nothing. It’s a small place and the owner was running around with five tables and seemed very weeded even though she had someone helping her. Nobody ever said How was everything ? Nobody said that Thank You for Coming. We just got the feeling we were a bother. I note they have lots of potential if they get the service worked out they will do Fine.

From caterers to a brick and mortar storefront, they’ve come a long way. The people working here are very nice but they do lack attentiveness and their food is just okay but not worth the price. We were getting chilly so we asked for them to turn off the fan but they never did it. My friends and I came here after the winery we were at recommended this place to us. Said they were fairly new and she made the reservations for us, also mentioning that it was for my birthday. When we got there, they had complimentary appetizers and champagne for us =))) –Seared scallops: I usually don’t like scallops but the sauce on this made this dish a winner! –Grilled Ono: This was supposed to be on a bed of wasabi mashed potatoes but you really couldn’t even taste a hint of wasabi. The fish was a tiny bit overcooked and way too salty, definitely would not recommend this dish. –Caprese salad: Delicious! The tomatoes were amazing! –Lobster bisque: Extremely heavy on the lobster flavor and it came out really dark. My friend was wondering if they had given her the right soup till she tried it hah! It came out the color of a chipotle based sauce??? –Shrimp app: The sauce on this was probably the best sauce of the night. The shrimp was also cooked perfectly =d Their desserts, though free, were pretty gosh awful, the presentation was very nice though. Ack! The bill was such a headache! The person at the end of the table forgot to give the cash along with the cards and the owner came back and told us that we were $ 2 short. We told her that we knew and that there was $ 21 in cash for her that we forgot to give her. She shushed us and told us to let her finish. So, she basically did a roll call of all of our names and how much we put on our card and that she had our card. She finally finished and told us that we were short and asked us who wanted to put it on their card. We then pointed at the cash on the table in front of her and said that that’s where the missing $$ is going to come from. She chippered up, grabbed the money and left-_-;; I guess more of us should’ve put cash, 6 cards to charge is complicated =T But she also should’ve let us finish talking instead of shushing us. We’re not bums, I promise D=
