Living the dream at the end of a dirt road. Some of the nicest people we have met at over 50 Paso wineries. Now this place is the very definition of «off the beaten track». It is only accessible after driving sections of road that are only dirt. We are glad we made the effort. Some of the best wines at pocket-friendly prices. NOTASTINGFEE. Great dogs. nice tasting facility. Tasted 2014 Synthesis — A dry Rosé blend of Syrah and Merlot. A steal at $ 18. 2012 Elementum — 100% Merlot $ 24. 2012 Bang — 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. We bought a lot of it at $ 24 — you would too. 2013 Spectrum — A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Merlot. 2013 Tangled — A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. 2013 Dance — 100% Petite Sirah. 2014 Merlyptus — A unique late harvest Merlot. 2004 Syrah — 100% Syrah(12 years old!). 2003 Syrah — 100% Syrah(13 years old!). This place will go on my «revisit list» when in Paso. Did we taste a lot of wine??? You betcha! With this quality and pricing, get there when you can.

Favorite winery of 6 in Paso! Great Rose and Red Blend. No tasting fee and very reasonably priced wines. Nice family who runs the winery and they spent a lot of time chatting with us on our visit.

Not only are the wines well made but the people running this vineyard are welcoming and kindhearted as well. Niles and Wendy truly went above and beyond to make our visit memorable and you will want to return again and again. The wines are high quality and reasonably priced. This was not our first visit to Rasmussen — and it will definitely not be our last! Thank you for a pleasurable visit!!!

Visited 10 wineries in Paso Robles over the weekend of June 20th. This place is in my top 3 of best wines I have ever tried. I am normally not a ROSE drinker but they had this amazing dry rose that blew me and my group away. I also liked one of their red blends. Fantastic wine and super friendly family running this place. I love how this place is off the beaten path. The road went from dirt to loose gravel not too far from the 41 freeway on the East side of Paso. It was 101 degrees that weekend. The winemaker/owner walked out with us to the parking lot and gave us a story about a barrel that was on the property. We were taking pics near it and he goes on to tell us his dog went after a dead squirrel one day. The barrel looked like someone attacked it with a sledgehammer. Very personable winery. They were out of labels for the rose so they wrote on the bottles and autographed them This was our 10th winery of the weekend and we went out with a bang. Great place, highly recommend it. BTW the ROSE was so good a girl in my group who is allergic to red wines even bought a bottle because it was so different. Thanks to the girl working at Eberle who said this was her favorite winery. I would have never heard of this place otherwise. Most maps don’t even have Rasmussen on there.

Really enjoyed our visit here. My fiancée and I appreciate the smaller, friendly, less corporate wineries, and this is definitely that. The wine was great, and we had a brilliant time chatting with the folks there. Skip the big name wineries… you’ll be really happy with Rasmussen!

One of the best wineries I’ve ever been too! This was my 2nd time visiting Rasmussen since January, and my Paso Robles trip will never be complete without it from now on. Incredibly delicious wines, a beautiful setting and a wonderful family owned winery. The Rasmussen family is so welcoming and our group has been spoiled by their barrel tastings on both visits. Their reds are insanely good and full of so much flavor. Niles, the winemaker, has been so delightful and let us try some of the wine in the barrel in different stages of the production. He has really taught us a lot about the winemaking process and his passion for great wine is obvious. Their wine is some of the best I’ve personally had, and their price point could easily be much higher.

Niles and his dog Drake were both super friendly, not to mention they make some excellent Syrah and Cabs. We stopped in because they happened to be open when we drove by, and we were promptly greeted by Drake(a very cute border collie-lab mix). We planned to stop in for a quick tasting and we spent about an hour there getting a tour and talking to Niles(the winemaker). I’m not sure how much a tasting costs(if anything) because I didn’t ask until after I bought several bottles of his ridiculously under-priced wine(I’m not sure if he waived the fee with purchase). If you go you probably won’t need to worry about the tasting fee because you’ll end up buying a bunch of bottles because it’s so good and really cheap, so make sure you have plenty of room in your car!
