I seldom find myself getting lucky at night late on Fridays, but its all good when I wake up earlier than I would have to some great breakfast made by familiar friendly faces =)))

Well, I’d certainly never need to go back, I waited about ten minutes before anyone took my order, even more once people figured since they just poured their own coffee they could cut in front of me and pay. I’ve had better bagels with better cream-cheese and better egg sandwiches for less money. They need better service and better prices before I go back here instead of other BETTER places.

I eneded up here by accident on my way home to maryland and im glad i did. The manager or possibly owner was great to talk to and went out of her way to hook me up. The bagels were great and the cream cheeses were awesome. Im moving to patchouge in July and will definitely be coming to goldberg’s on the regular

I’ve lost faith in this place, not because of the food but because of the staff. I’ve been coming here since they opened this location and the quality of employees has gone way down. I come in every morning and order my breakfast sandwich and 3 out of 5 times they get my order wrong, forget something or even give me someone else’s order. It’s very inconvenient because I don’t find this out until I’m finally at work and then I can’t do anything about it. Unfortunately Howard, I won’t be returning anytime soon.

Lets call it 2.5 stars… But I’ll go higer on the rating. It’s a clean nice store staffed by VERY nice folks which helps. Other than that the food is just OK. Not great just OK.

When driving by, I noticed the sign for flagels… since I lived in NY for 30 years, but for the last 26, have lived out of ny… I felt left in the dark not knowing what a flagel is… so I made my family of nyers, stop the car as I ran in to experience my first poppyseed flagel. I was not disappointed! It was fresh and tasty! Flagel, or bagel… nothings better, so when driving through patchogue… life is short, take your time… and stop in to at least«taste the flagels»!

This bagel place is the best around! We moved from Islip back in 2013 and would have to go all the way back to Bagel boss until this gem opened. This is the only place around that has crispy delicious flagels. The different types of cream cheeses are great and the muffins are amazing! They have funfetti muffins that are so delicious you will never have another muffin anywhere! The owner is also really nice. He is always out and about and very friendly. Its great to have an owner of a local place interacting with customers. Its makes you feel comfortable and want to go back. We’ve also used them for catering and it was equally as good as the in store experience

Everything was shut down and cleaned 30 minutes before they scheduled to close. If I can’t order anything past 2:30 then they should fix their hours to show that they really close a half hour early and leave their doors open for an additional 30 minutes to confuse customers.

I found this place by accident driving to another deli but thought«what the heck» and walked in. I was impressed with how clean and organized this place was. People where eating and a line started to form after I got to the register to order. Christina, the clerk behind the register was on point! She Took my order and went to work. Christina is very friendly and loves to talk. I order two sandwiches, a ham and bologna sandwich and a roast beef sandwich. I also get the raspberry cheese cake muffin, they were made fresh and it seemed like it would work well together. I love it when I’m right! The muffin was amazing. The sandwiches also where spot on. They where the best I had so far in Patchogue. I would definitely recommend getting one. They also take credit cards there. I know that’s weird to say but a lot of deli’s in the area don’t. But I have to be honest, as I always am, they seemed a bit under staffed. Once the line got going they looked overwhelmed. I mean it’s expected, the food is good, of course there is going to be a line, I just think 3 people were not enough. Whatever that’s my only grievance. I will definitely be back for the muffin and to say hi to Christina! Hope you give this deli a try.

Too much competition to be mediocre. Ok I’m familiar with Goldberg’s out East. I don’t know if they’re related but I can’t imagine they could be. I’ve tried the Patchogue location several times and I have to ask… what is the deal with the paper on my egg sandwich??? I don’t think I ordered paper on my egg sandwich, but this is the third time I’ve gotten either wax paper or parchment paper on my egg sandwich. So… today was my last time at Goldberg’s in Patchogue. I don’t think I should have to say hold the paper. I don’t know if they are cooking eggs and sausage in advance but if they are, they shouldn’t. My egg Sammy should be made from scratch to order and no paper. So many other great places to get a good egg Sammy like swan deli and strathmore’ bagels not to have to bother with this crap!!! Oh, plus they’re kinda Kurt and very slow… Sorry, I calls it as I sees it

This has become my new place for bagels. Their bagels are awesome, and they make them right in the back. Breakfast sammiches are on point! Will say its a bit disorganized while ordering/waiting. They could really do an overhaul on that, maybe a number system? But the food here is amazing, so its totally worth it :)

I stop by for a breakfast sandwich once a week. The food is good. Staff are nice. You can’t go wrong with this deli. They make all the food in house even the bagels. Some delis get them delivered. The«hobo» is my favorite sandwich right now. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is because they charge a little more money than other places.

I have to give them 4 stars just for the fact they have two types of vegan tofu cream cheese.

Totally unimpressed. Food was so overpriced and tasted okay… eggs were greasy. Waited awhile for food when we were the only ones in there. Left hungry… after spending a good amount of money.

Lame. This is New York, Goldbergs. We do not pay for mediocre Bagels with barely a tablespoon of cream cheese on them. Well, we don’t pay for them more than once, anyway. I won’t be returning to your store. Goldbergs Famous my ass.

Everything flagel toasted, thin cream cheese, tomatoes, red onion, capers… Try ordering that anywhere near the area and get something that doesn’t compare. Goldberg’s Bagels is a welcome sight in Patchogue. We needed this terribly.

Thank you Goldberg’s!!! I called the shop to help arrange some breakfast for loved ones dealing with a hard time who live in Patchogue. Howie(the owner) went above and beyond to help me pick out items and helped me get it to them. He was awesome! Gotta love family businesses like this.

So I’m not sure what the deal is with the complaints about the wait but take it from this Unilocaler that I haven’t had any issues with the service. Have I experienced lines? Sure. Was the wait worse than any other deli or bagel place in the tri-state? Nope! It’s pretty on par with how long you’d wait at any other establishment during peak breakfast or lunch hours, so I can’t complain. The owner, Howie makes you feel welcome and remembers his customer’s by name. He makes a point to come out say hello and stop by your table to check up on things. It’s a great personal touch and a service that’s missing from most small businesses in today’s day and age. You can tell that he takes pride in his business as he pays attention to the front and back of the house. The bagels and flagels are fresh, the cream cheese varieties are insane and the sandwich options are enough to make your head spin. Add on the house made cookies, muffins and other deserts and you can round out any meal. As long as you’re not watching calories you won’t have anything to complain about!
