One of my favorite places to eat. Everyone in there is so nice and the food is delicious.

Huge menu to choose from. And everything we had was delicious! Steak, cold antipasto, chicken and pasta. Nice wine selection as well. Alexis was our waitress and was very helpful and friendly. We plan to return soon! Don’t miss this gem in Patchogue village

Let me paint a picture for you, at work, snowing, hungry, what do you do? You look for a pizzeria that delivers and I found one, Main Street Italian Bistro was delivering in the snow. It was really convenient and cool that they did. They were nice to me over the phone and despite the snow they came quick! They dropped off two pies for only $ 17.00 and they were small and thin slices, but they tasted delicious, I mean I was shocked when I saw them, but joyfully surprised at how much I enjoyed them. This was just a delivery, now I need to check out the full experience and dine there, which I will soon; judging just on the pizza I can imagine the rest of the menu. If you’re hungry and you can’t get out I suggest giving them a call. I put there number on speed dial for the next snow day.

Do not eat at this restaurant unless you like frozen food, cold soup, calamari that is not even calamari, out of a frozen box. I know for a fact that my veal with prosciutto was frozen because I could not even separate the veal from the ham. It was so salty I could not even eat it. I am telling you this place is really bad unless you are getting chicken parm in red sauce in which case add a star. The service is horrendous as well and oh, they are not nice, very unfriendly owners and staff.

prima volta Ive ha provato questo ristorante dal muoversi verso Patchogue. I love broccoli rabe and it’s hard to find a one as good as my mother’s was. She passed away and it’s just one meal that I never looked to cook from her yet it’s one of my favorites. So I have to say tonight was the first time I ordered it from the Italian Bistro and it was delicious. I like it with macaroni and sweet italian sausage… PERFECT!!! I’ll definitely be ordering it quite often from this restaurant. 5++++++++++++

Very nice reliable red sauce restaurant. Old fashioned in a good way. Pleasant service. Perhaps a few dollars to expensive but am overall good experience. I’d go there again. I enjoyed the stuffed artichokes and it’s worth knowing that they’ll lame out the bacon, ham, or perschutto if asked.

Main Street Café. Going into this place with low expectations worked in it’s favor I am sure. I was surprised at the decent menu and even the pretty good food we all ordered… I’d probably go back if it was suggested, don’t see why not… not a place I’m dying to go back to but still quite nice… another surprise being in the heart of new Patchogue. I’m a little sad this place is so often overlooked even by myself, it gets lost in the commotion I guess; or maybe it’s the home cooking style or the lackluster service from time to time, who knows. Try the chicken a la vodka wrap for lunch and late night!

I’ve been here a few times before, but I don’t think I’ll go again. The french onion soup, was barely warm. They brought it back, and microwaved it, and it just wasn’t good. The clams casino came with very little. The bread was over toasted, and we waited forever for butter. I had an italian frittata, and it was actually pretty good.

Me and my girlfriend love this place! We eat here all the time for lunch and dinner! Love the lunch menu, Lunch Boxes are the best, $ 11 for a big plate of fresh cooked food AND a soup or salad… that’s an incredible deal we end up spending $ 25 on a delicious lunch for 2 of us… how can u beat that?! Her doctors office orders all the time too cause they deliver! One of my favorite places for quality food and great accommodation! I recommend this to anyone looking for a good meal and deal.

Stopped in late Friday nite, we were greeted and treated like family. Food was delicious, can’t say enough about the service and authentic Italian food. Highly recommend!

At first taste of the short rib ravioli, I’d have given this place 3 ½ to 4 stars. Service was good and the owner attentive. Later, I found out that MSIB didn’t make the short ribs. I must admit that I was pretty disappointed with that aspect… they were pretty solid ravioli though.

Date of visit: June 9, 2015 Met a friend here for lunch. Not real familiar with the area but it was convenient for my friend. I picked the place from reading reviews, food type and location. Since my friend was late I chatted a bit with some of the staff(possibly an owner) as they were rearranging the tables for paint night. They were friendly and accommodating as far as waiting for my friend to arrive and not rushing us out. Then again, we were the only ones in the place until just before we left when another table of 2 arrived. I ordered the calamari salad and my friend ordered Pasta Vesuvio. Sadly, our food was not even close to any of the reviews I read. The Pasta Vesuvio was completely tasteless except if you happened to pick up a piece of sausage with your forkful serving. The calamari in the calamari salad was neither rings nor legs but rather like strips. Never had calamari like that before and it definitely tasted like it was frozen out of a bag and just deep fried. The frizzled onions on top didn’t really go well with the calamari either.

My boyfriend and I went here on a whim this evening and what a great decision we made. Small, home style décor. I kept telling my boyfriend i felt like i was sitting in my family’s dining room. I ate the lobster risotto. Phenomenal. I was beyond impressed by my dish. I will be back here again and will recommend this restaurant to others. Can’t speak anymore highly about this place

Complete rip off and poor service! $ 8 tortoni I feel is highway robbery. Also $ 2.99 pint soda is a bit crazy. Waited over minutes to get their attention for our drinks. Sadly I would never go back here again. First time & last time!

Overall, we had a great experience. For starters, very generous wine pours. Great service from a friendly staff. My husband had the milanese(felt the sauce was a little thin, but still very flavorful) and I had the carbonara(one word: incredible). Appetizer was the mozzarella caprese. Everything tasted fresh and had excellent flavor, and the quality and portions are definitely worth the prices. The kitchen was really loud and we could hear everything, but otherwise a lovely atmosphere. There were a couple of things we’d like to see improved: the ‘house’ balsamic vinaigrette tasted like it was from a bottle instead of homemade; they also don’t offer fresh cracked pepper.

Loved the food. Delicious. Loved the Ambiance. Could be for a Romantic date or just as nice for a family Dinner. I really have only 1 negative but it’s lengthy. When we asked for a table that wasn’t crammed in on the side and tiny — we were told, «No, I have to put you here». Yet there were plenty of tables available. I know that they may have had reservations but the whole hour we were there only one couple came in after us. I also understand they need to reserve bigger tables for bigger parties so I can’t totally fault the hostess. But she wasn’t friendly about it. Then when we got our menus and said thank you she said«no problem» and walked away somewhat grouchy. Not a huge deal but if you are trying to portray an image then shouldn’t your staff uphold that image? At least say, «Oh I’m sorry those tables are reserved for larger parties» and«You’re Welcome» instead of «no problem». It was also hard to track down our server at times. She was great when we saw her but my boyfriend was getting a little frustrated. She may have been alone or grouchy due to the downer hostess… Maybe it was just a bad night. There was a beautiful snow storm outside so perhaps it was that. I feel like I sound picky but we were all excited to have the beautiful snow view and a romantic dinner and it was kind of blah. I will go again though based on all the positives.

We stopped in here for lunch one day, on a whim and we will be coming back! What a nice surprise. We decided to have lunch after being in Patchogue on some business. We checked out the menu and went in. There are lunch specials for about $ 10 that included salad. Take a look at the pictures! The included salads were huge and fresh. Then came the delicious lunch entrees. I ordered the pasta with clams and shrimp. The clams were small and tender. There were plenty of shrimp and after eating the large salad, there was enough to take home for lunch the next day. My husband had the lasagna which he had been craving for a few weeks. He said this was delicious and he also had enough to take some home. The décor was very nice with red & white checkered tablecloths and white ‘butcher paper’ over each table. It had a clean fresh look. My only complaint is that they were playing the radio as background music. I know it was a weekday lunch, but the radio? This isn’t a deli. In between listening to Barry Manilow, and Elton John, I heard commercials for Jiffy Lube. Not good! Satellite radio or some easy listening Italian background music would have fit much better.
