Quality of experience sort of went down here from the last few times I came here. The Tacos are still pretty good, but they just don’t have the same consistency in terms of service and product. My last order they placed the wrong item into my order!

This is our favorite half-way point between Manhattan and Montauk. After the chaotic congestion of Brooklyn and Queens, before the super-limited options of The East End. A little bit of junk food in the belly helps unwinding, preparing the spirit for relaxation, right? Anyhow, Taco Bell is Taco Bell is Taco Bell, don’t expect too much. However, be warned, you will need to check your order, because as others have reviewed, they get things wrong frequently(one time, they forgot to put beans & corn & guacamole & tomatoes in a veggie cantina burrito, so it was literally just lettuce and cheese), but they’re always nice enough to replace or correct whatever mistakes they have made. I’ll admit, these characters can be a bit unprofessional, talking about personal stuff non-stop rather than working, so perhaps the best bet is to drive-thru & eat in your car. My order: 2 spicy tostadas with ground beef and 2 packets each of Fire & Salsa Verde.

First let’s get one thing straight– Taco Bell is not mexican food. I am not sure what it is, but having grown up in Southern California the bar is set a little higher on this subject than in many places. This Taco Bell is pretty much the same as most others except for two complaints from our one visit there this last weekend while we stayed at a hotel down the street. We went in Saturday night around 630 and there was a bit of a line. No problem, totally understandable. My first complaint is that the person running the register during the dinner rush seemed to be «special». I get it, hire the differently abled. However, you never ever ever put Corky on the register– especially at dinner rush. I knew from the moment we stepped up there that the order would be wrong(and it was). Second complaint, only a minor one, only half of the soda machine in the lobby worked– just inconvenient.

Ok… don’t judge me, but I absolutely love taco bell. I frequent this one particularly every week. My order is seldom wrong, and I always leave completely satisfied. It’s the perfect fix for late night eats. I understand the quality of food isn’t great, and it’s a fast food joint, but for goodness sakes… the cheesy gordita crunch is a small slice of heaven.

There is a movie called Idiocracy(«The future is a no brainer.») basically the movie depicts the future as filled with complete idiots. This Taco Bell is the future, only filthier. The T-Bell receipt offers you a number to call & rate the place along with a chance to win 1,000 $. I called the IVR(Interactive Voice Response.) The first question: «Would you recommend this Taco Bell to others?» I prompted the«No» option, then an option to leave a voice mail for an employee or manager I didn’t go that route. The automated system thanked me and hung up. The problem is if you make 5 separate trips to this location I’d be surprised if 1 order was completed correctly. Sorry 112 Taco Hell, you stink, and you get an «F».
